regarding edits to article IndiaHi Gaurav, Im like many other users trying to make Indian articles better and informative just as many other articles of other nations are. I felt that India article lacked detailed information and expressiveness. Any problem we can sort it out and discuss. Looking forward to hearing frm u. Hungryalism/Hungry GenerationPlease try to understand that the Hungryalist movement in Bengali literature has become an important subject for researchers. But they are unable to get material except for from Little Magazine Library at Kolkata. Your understanding of Bengali literature should not be intervened by wiki guidelines. Only a few of the participants of the movement are alive who are accessible, and it is of utmost importance to bring all records to the notice of academic and non-academic researchers by linking all webpages. I am just trying to preserve lost history. Citations on the Mumbai pageI notice some citiation tags you've added to the Mumbai page. I would suggest that references to commonly known information that have their own articles not be tagged with the citation needed tag. It would be an overkill to tag each and every sentence, and would make reading difficult. So for example, that BCCI is headquartered in Mumbai, or that XYZ sprotsmen hail from Mumbai need no cite tags. Instead these be cited in the main article. I sincerely apologize for being away from Wikipedia. I'd been quite busy over the past week and hence could hardly spend any time on my wiktivities. However, it was good to see that you do a great job with the next draft. I'll wait for the last two days before filling up the entries and interesting tidbits for the next newsletter. I'm sure we'll do this once in a month. Thanks to Tinucherian, who is quite enthusiastic with supporting the delivery tasks. Just one thought: For the DYKs, as I had initially thought, I feel that we could have 1-3 DYKs from the newest WP:India articles. I say 1-3 because it can vary according to the required formatting. For example, Manipur and other North-East states and Sikkim etc. For Assam, I guess it is fine. The present map does not help much while trying to locate a town in say, Manipur. Can you please change the maps so that they are zoomed in, focusing on the state rather than the whole region? For example, Goa/Bihar maps are focused on the state. ITNThe recognition templates have been severely underused, and I try to hand them out as many as I can. Article talk pages are first on my priority list, and some articles currently on ITN don't have a tag. Otherwise, I don't see why you can't give yourself a recognition tag if you honestly did some work on the article worthy of recognition. I keep a personal count (see my userpage), and I probably haven't received a recognition tag for several of them. Happy editing, SpencerT♦C 02:11, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. ~Ttony21(talk, contribs) 16:19, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).
Gppande (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: see Talk:2008_Icelandic_financial_crisis#Ebay_Auction Other users have agreed to my arguments. I gave sufficient times - User:meco also seem agreed after discussion. However, one Icelandic admin seems to be too personal with the argument and so without giving me chance has been doing undo. Infact he never presented any replies to the questions I posted and has been enforcing personal opinion. I protest this block in strongest word. Decline reason: You do appear to have violated WP:3RR in that article. There doesn't seem to be consensus yet on the talk page. I can't tell from reading your desired edit... you do understand that Iceland isn't really up for sale, don't you? — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 11:58, 13 October 2008 (UTC) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I always invited them to talkpage to discuss. I left 3 hints to people who were reverting to the news item I was trying to add. I left section on talk page, I added Template:Discuss in section on the main page, I left hidden comment on the top of the section. People kept ignoring all 3 messages and were deleting the section. In case of Icelandic admin, I left him message on his talk page and still got no reply from him. Second time he did the same and left another message. I replied to all his messages promptly. I just now checked the history of the page and he has reverted my edits more than thrice. I done enough to bring people to talk and discuss. Edit summary shows the same. I never want to go to edit war. I want to stop it. But unfortunately I seem to be the one who is getting blocked. Above all, I am adding only genuine matter to the article. This is really no justice.--gppande «talk» 12:10, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

People kept ignoring all 3 messages and were deleting the section. In case of admin User:Haukurth, I left him message on his talk page and still got no reply from him. He kept reverting my edits. I replied to all his personal opinion arguments on talkpage promptly. I just now checked the history of the page and he has reverted my edits more than thrice. if 3RR rule is to be so strictly adhered to then admin User:Haukurth should be blocked. He too reverted me thrice. I don't want anyone to be blocked including me. Just trying to put my argument. This is no justice. I done enough to bring people to talk and discuss. Edit summary shows the same. I know Iceland is not up for sale. But what's wrong in mentioning one of the most read news in media on WP. There have always been popular media section in current articles. Also, check the change in heading done by user:meco. Initially he was against (on talkpage) but latter did changes to the title which he provided with good reason. I accepted to that. There are others on talk page which accept that the news item should go to the article. I accepted other's views when they explained. But some seem to blindly follow what they feel right without discussion. I have given sufficient arguments, time, messages not to revert, edit summary showing not to do undo but first discuss. Three messages should be enough for person to come to talk page. Infact, Icelandic admin got 2 personal messages on his talk page still no reply.--gppande «talk» 12:31, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Where did you reply to the points I raised??? Everytime you described your mind. You never went into a discussion like other people and tried to reach an agreement. You were enforcing your views each time you reverted my edit without any prior notice or line. Let me clarify. I have a great respect for Iceland and I am not putting this new item to offend anyone. Infact, I wrote a DYK India-Iceland relations. It's just that people started reverting the additions mindlessly made me take up this course. Present some reasons - not opinions. --gppande «talk» 13:42, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Re:Ayesha TakiaHello there!!!! In My POV, The text in the reference section was obscene and disrespectful. You can check that here. According to me, a biography of living people should not contain such elements. It is a speculative claim, which was verified with a gossip column. WP:BLP says Material about living persons must be sourced very carefully. Without reliable third-party sources, it may include original research and unverifiable statements, and could lead to libel claims. However, if you do not agree with me then you may restore the previous version. happy Editing!!!! While I can appreciate why you may hold such a view, I don't think it's particularly appropriate for the venue in which you've said it. I think a lot of administrators will not be pleased that those sorts of aspersions are being cast when each individual administrator acts on their own judgement, and it could be considered offensive. I know a very good admin Ganeshk whose heavily involved in WikiProject India, who does apologize on the rare occasions he stuffs up. He's one of the biggest assets we have at WikiProject India and I don't think he'll find that very pleasant to read at all. I hope you reconsider either refactoring or removing the comment - perhaps if an ANI is opened, you can post a generalization like that there, so administrators can respond to a general comment that is made about them.
