RFA 2021 CompletedThe 2021 re-examination of RFA has been completed. 23 (plus 2 variants) ideas were proposed. Over 200 editors participated in this final phase. Three changes gained consensus and two proposals were identified by the closers as having the potential to gain consensus with some further discussion and iteration. Thanks to all who helped to close the discussion, and in particular Primefac, Lee Vilenski, and Ymblanter for closing the most difficult conversations and for TonyBallioni for closing the review of one of the closes. The following proposals gained consensus and have all been implemented:
The following proposals were identified by the closers as having the potential to gain consensus with some further discussion and iteration:
Editors who wish to discuss these ideas or other ideas on how to try to address any of the six issues identified during phase 1 for which no proposal gained are encouraged to do so at RFA's talk page or an appropriate village pump. A final and huge thanks all those who participated in this effort to improve our RFA process over the last 4 months. This is the final update with no further talk page messages planned. 01:46, 30 December 2021 (UTC) Even if AWB suggests incorrect edits (possibly because it didn't recognise {{dab}} as an abbreviation of {{disambiguation}}, it is your responsibility not to make those incorrect edits. A disambiguation page should almost always be an orphan (except sometimes for a redirect from a hatnote), and cannot, by definition, be a stub, so should not be tagged as either of these. Clarification of revertsHi, I just wanted to clarify my reverts at Green Line Extension and a few other pages. In many government documents, pages are numbered by chapter and page, thus page 1-5 (and 5-1) are valid page numbers. Is there a better way to indicate that in {{rp}} so it doesn't get confused with page ranges? Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:25, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

I thought I'd get User:Galobot to do it. I noticed {{lang-fa}} has a translit parameter, so I was thinking to replace e.g (Persian: سگري, also Romanized as Sagarī) with (Persian: سگري, romanized: Sagarī). Thoughts? The previous version looked much better, and it seems nothing practical was gained by changing it. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject). If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. I think you made a valid point on the fact that some of Lenin's critics viewed his government as authoritarian (party dictatorship during wartime conditions) and differed in nature from Stalin's regime which is near-universally viewed as totalitarian (personal dictatorship of one individual). However, all of your changes have been reverted by Midnightblueowl due to the perceived added length to the paragraph and confusion associated with the recent edits. I think it would be worth you adding a talk discussion proposing that we keep the recent lead additions and gain a consensus. WikiUser4020 (talk) 04:29, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add Removal of hiranagaHello Goszei :) I noticed that you removed the hiragana writing of Yuzuru Hanyu's name from the article's lead section. The reason why we included it is that many people mistakenly write the given name Yuzuru as ゆずる instead of the correct hiragana spelling ゆづる. Both ず and づ have the Hepburn-romanization zu, but ず is more common in use and hence a likely error here. Another common mistake is to write the surname Hanyū as はんゆう instead of はにゅう. So I would suggest to add the hiragana writing again for this particular case. Henni147 (talk) 10:21, 21 February 2024 (UTC) March 2024 GAN backlog drive

This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project. Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. TylerBurden (talk) 22:31, 6 July 2024 (UTC) A barnstar for you!
