Recommending new editors to your WP Cannabis

Hi Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney,

Our system generated a list of potential new editors for your project. They may be interested in collaborating with your project members on your project's articles. As you will notice, the list contains both experienced editors and newcomers. Both are valuable for Wikipedia and your project. Please go ahead and introduce your project to them, and point them to some project tasks to start with. We also provide a template invitation message to make it easier to contact the potential new editors. Just click the invite link to write the invitation message.

We'd appreciate it if you could fill the survey to let us know what you think about our recommendations so we can improve our system.

Please let me know below if you have any general feedback about our recommendations. Thank you! Bobo.03 (talk) 05:19, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney, Just wonder if you had a chance to look at the recommendations I sent? Thank you! Bobo.03 (talk) 22:52, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
Sorry Bobo.03, I'm running a little behind. It's interesting, though I will admit few of them appear to be absolute home-run candidates. A couple are SPAs that came here just to publicize one cannabis company, and several have "crossover" with WPC editors but don't appear to have specifically touched our subject, or are very infrequent editors who have just once edited one of our articles (and have edited only a handful of time over years). Not a diss against your program, it's a really interesting idea, but the initial pull is a bit of an odd selection. That said, sometime this week I should be able to send each of them an invite to join our project, and I'll see what comes out of that. Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 04:22, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
Sounds good, and thank you for your general feedback! I actually find some bugs in the code, and fixed them based on the feedback I've received so far. So next time, it should not include irrelative recommendations like those single-edit or few-edit editors. The recommendation quality should be better! Bobo.03 (talk) 15:45, 14 February 2018 (UTC)

Wikipedia Library

Maybe you already know about this, but I recently found out about Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Library. You can apply to get access to newspaper archives and ebooks through various partners. Questia has the book Cannabis: Evolution and Ethnobotany available, among others. Newspaperarchive.com has archives for the US and some other countries. For example, they have The Gleaner (newspaper) archives going back to the 1800s, which should be useful for Cannabis in Jamaica. It could help with the US state and Canadian province articles, as well. –Surachit (talk) 01:42, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
