Susan Nycum

I was training a group of women today - more activity associated with Ada Lovelace Day. I was telling them how you so kindly helped out with out last batch of articles and then I showed them your gender gap list. As an illustration of the process, I picked a name from the list and made a quick start. The article is now at AFD but this provides a good example of what can happen if you don't do it right. I have expanded the article just now but perhaps you can take a look too, as you're quite good at this and may know more about the subject. How very frustrating. I came across Susan Nycum's name on the Women in computing article, where she was one of the earliest red-linked names in the timeline. She has since been removed from that article (see talk). She's definitely marginal, notability-wise, but may still meet WP:BIO. This source, for instance demonstrates that she was anticipating data flight due to patent protection back in 1978. Not a silver bullet, but a few more like that might do the trick. Global Youth Studies

Hey Gobonobo. I know that you are about to review our article drafts but I have a quick question. I'm trying to consolidate my identical references so it only takes up one line on the list instead of multiple but I'm having an issue. I know that you have to create a "ref name/group" and when I do that, the original references look fine but the following references always have an issue message like I'm missing something. Help with a redirect issue for Global Youth Studies

Hi Gobonobo. In attempting to create the new page Religion in Senegal, Prof. V and I discovered that it redirects to the page Demographics of Senegal. We attempted to change the redirect based on the WP instructions, but were unsuccessful. Might you be able to help answer this question? Also, Prof. V recommended that I create a 'see also' section for the sources that I don't explicitly reference in my article, but which were relevant to my resource, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do that. @Cirt: Hi. I looked for free images of Krug in the usual places, but didn't find any. There are a couple of decent photographs on Flickr, but not under the right license. The American Library Association also has a couple of images on their website. I haven't yet tried to contact the owners of these images to see if they would release them under a compatible license, but I think that would be the best route. @Richard apple: Hi. I usually don't like to engage in drive-by tagging, but Category:Articles with too few wikilinks is one of the few backlogs that has a reasonably speedy turnaround time thanks to the good folks at WikiProject Wikify. I'm working my way through Black Women in America right now, adding missing entries to the Gender Gap red list.
