The RFC moratorium on Uyghur genocideI would like to ask you to reverse the moratorium part of your close here. I don't think it's an appropriate close; as you noted, the consensus for the current title was weak. Moreover, since that RFC, the supposed moratorium has caused nothing but unproductive arguments - people have bickered over it constantly, showing it did not (and continues to not) have any sort of consensus. Shutting down discussions is a huge step and should require an overwhelming consensus, otherwise anyone with even a slight edge in a discussion would declare their opinion eternal end forbid anyone from questioning it. There's no reasonable way to read that degree of consensus as present in that discussion. --Aquillion (talk) 18:35, 5 July 2021 (UTC)

It was a hotly competitive round with two contestants, Round 4 saw the achievement of 18 featured articles and 157 good articles. All those who reached the final round will win awards. The following special awards will be made based on high performance in particular areas of content creation and review. Awards will be handed out in the next few days.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year's WikiCup, whether they made it to the final round or not, and particular congratulations to the newcomers to the WikiCup, some of whom did very well. Wikipedia has benefitted greatly from the quality creations, expansions and improvements made, and the numerous reviews performed. Thanks to all who have taken part and helped out with the competition, not forgetting User:Jarry1250, who runs the scoring bot. If you have views on whether the rules or scoring need adjustment for next year's contest, please comment on the WikiCup talk page. Next year's competition will begin on 1 January. You are invited to sign up to participate; the WikiCup is open to all Wikipedians, both novices and experienced editors, and we hope to see you all in the 2022 competition. Administrators will no longer be autopatrolledA recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. This will be implemented the week of December 13th, but if you wish to self-assign you may do so now. How we will see unregistered usersHi! You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki. When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed. Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help. If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter. We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language.
