However, then mainspace article has been recreated. Since you have been involved with this, would you mind checking it out to see if it's appropriate? Thanks. —Anne Delong (talk) 02:26, 8 August 2014 (UTC) When time allowsHey Go P. Can you take a look at the Javier Baez article and the talkpage. With your experience at baseball articles maybe you can provide some needed advice. Thanks. ```Buster Seven Talk 06:22, 8 August 2014 (UTC) Good gameIt may be only a preseason game, but that Bears-Eagles game was pretty damn good, even though it was pretty sloppy at the same time. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cody Asche, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Perfectionist. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Unresolved ANI issueHowdy, so my ANI report about Avenger2015 went unresolved and has since been archived. Do you have any suggestions for how to remedy this? I think this was the last state of the discussion. Much appreciated, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:03, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

I have some concerns regarding the topic ban you enacted on Lucia Black (talk · contribs), as it encompasses all Japanese entertainment. As a clarification, does the ban include all articles related to the WP:ANIME and WP:VG projects (I'm also a participant of these projects as well) or participation in discussions related to the projects? Also, considering the fact that I had no problems with the user in question when collaborating with her on some articles that I did, would it be much easier if I continue the work alone? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:18, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Go Phightins!, I hope you don't mind me continuing to talk about this issue even though it is now closed. One of my main concerns with the close that prompted me to comment in the closure review was that there didn't seem to be any evidence of disruption presented for the specific area covered by the topic ban (excluding Ghost in the Shell articles, from which Lucia Black was already topic banned). I felt that since (in my opinion) the arguments for the topic ban were not backed up by evidence, they hould have been given little weight when closing the discussion. In order for the topic ban to be implemented, I felt there should have been things such as diffs or links to discussions where Lucia Black was disruptive or argumentative in relation to Japanese media other than Ghost in the Shell. Since I didn't see such evidence, I was really surprised by the close. Anyway, I'm not asking for any action from you. The close was just still bothering me, so I wanted to get what I was thinking off my chest by posting it somewhere. I do appreciate that you took the time to close the discussion, and think you clearly put a lot of thought into the close, even if I disagree with the outcome. Problem childHey, Mr. Phightins. I have a problem child who may need a time out soon: diff. Please review recent edit history. He has been vandalizing Auburn football, Florida football, and SEC Championship Game articles, and has pretty much announced he will be vandalizing the Florida State football article soon. You may want to watch list these if you feel unable to take immediate action. Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 00:52, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

I'm sure you're tired of reviews of the closure you made over LuciaBlack, so i'll be brief. I just wanted to say, i've been away for a few days, so missed the closure and review, and have just read both with interest. I think that you did a fine job in reading consensus in this sorry situation. Thanks for stepping up to it. Cheers, LindsayHello 03:43, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014 August newsletterThe final of the 2014 WikiCup begins in a few short minutes! Our eight finalists are listed below, along with their placement in Round 4:
We say goodbye to this year's semi-finalists. Matty.007 (submissions), ThaddeusB (submissions), WikiRedactor (submissions), Figureskatingfan (submissions), Yellow Evan (submissions), Prism (submissions) and Cloudz679 (submissions) have all performed well to reach this stage of the competition, and we hope they will all be joining us again next year. There are two upcoming competitions unrelated to the WikiCup which may be of interest to those who receive this newsletter. The Stub Contest will run through September, and revolves around expanding stub articles, especially high-importance or old stubs. In addition, a proposal has been made for a new competition, the GA Cup, which the organisers plan to run next year. This competition is based on the WikiCup and aims to reduce the good article review backlog. There is now a thread for brainstorming on how next year's WikiCup competition should work. Please come along and share your thoughts- What works? What doesn't work? What needs changing? Signups for next year's competition will be open soon; we will be in touch. If, at this stage of the competition, you are keen to help the with the WikiCup, please do what you can to participate in review processes. Our finalists will find things much easier if the backlogs at good article candidates, featured article candidates, featured picture candidates and the rest are kept at a minimum. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Proposal regarding a banned user (2)The (2) is because I made a proposal in Salvidrim!'s talk page, but it looks like the administrator is uncomfortable with the discussion. Go Phightins! did not have the chance to participate, so I bring the matter here. Although Go Phightins!'s input is certainly welcome (whose talk page is this?), it will not be enough, since the administrator already expressed sympathy for the banned user. As said in the discussion, Ryulong's opinion is important, but this user's talk page is protected. May Ryulong comment about my proposal in this page instead of in Salvidrim!'s. Otherwise, may Go Phightins! transmit this request to Ryulong? 84.127.80.114 (talk) 18:42, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Avenger2015 againHeya GP, the recent block of Avenger2015 did not seem to dissuade his disruptive behavior. In these two edits he adds another redundant cast list. In these two edits he continues adding to a duplicate cast list that he started. I think once a reasonable person learns that their duplicate cast list is unfavorable, he should think to remove them. Or certainly not to add to them. And in the following four edits, he starts to add a cast list, then removes it, then adds it again, then removes it again. Taunting? ([2][3][4][5]). Anyhow, your eyes are requested. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:59, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Good to see you're back to the PSU game ...I started to edit the James TD and you already had it up ... welcome back. I missed most of the first-half as I was out officiating a high school soccer game. Time to sit back, watch, edit, and enjoy (and then switch over the Phils--exciting win last night). Mentoring at the Co-opHey Ben. Thanks again for your feedback about editing at the Co-op, we've implemented a number of new skills in disambiguation, article clean-up, and article improvements based on your feedback. It's a little early, but we're looking for mentors to teach at the Co-op. There isn't a real interface yet as we're still building it, but to give you plenty of notice, I wanted to ask if you might be interested in mentoring 1 or 2 editors during our pilot. We plan to start piloting in December and run for about two months. Mentors would only need to teach things based on how an editor wants to contribute, so it's less of a commitment than teaching comprehensively about Wikipedia. If you're at all interested, please feel free to sign up, and ask me anything if there's something you want to know about the space. Much like the Teahouse, the only way we'll know if our project is useful is if we can get folks to help teach. Note to my fellow editors...I have been rather inactive lately outside of my two pet articles, 2014 Philadelphia Phillies season and 2014 Penn State Nittany Lions football team. True, some of this is due to real life activity, but I felt somewhat obligated to share the other part of it. I am discouraged by the direction this community is going, as I know many editors are. In my free time, I have the choice between a real life activity that brings me joy and fulfillment, or at the very least relaxation, or logging into Wikipedia and seeing crap about the gender gap, WMF vs. us, Admins vs. Content Editors, and other farcical drivel. I have had a propensity to choose the former. I still believe in the mission of Wikipedia, to disseminate free content in an encyclopedia that anyone can edit to represent a sum of the world's knowledge, but I truly wonder whether we still are going in that direction. So I am discouraged. I am not retiring, and I will continue to be around to edit those two articles (in all likelihood), but I am considering handing in my admin bit for now, as I am not sure I want to be involved in any more than those articles. Remind me why it is that we do what we do, why we care, why I wanted to be a part of this in the first place please. Thank you, and may God bless you all. Sincerest regards, Ben -- Go Phightins! 22:01, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
