Hello Go Phightins. please help! I have had my first article deleted by you about Carter Harris. It took me awhile to figure out how to cite properly and the page was marked for deletion. I thought i had remedied the situation but then the page was deleted. I don't even know if this is the right forum. Please help direct me to how it can be re-listed. Thank you in advance. here is a link to Carter Harris IMDB [1]Jplippstein (talk) 23:29, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
@Jplippstein: If you want to recreate the article again, you can go ahead, but having just IMDb as a source isn't going to be enough. If you want to create the article, and lower the risk of having it deleted, you can create it as an Articles for Creation submission and have a reviewer see if it's fine, or as a draft in your userspace, at User:Jplippstein/Carter Harris, where you can develop it until you're ready to move it into article space. Ben, I would like to take this moment and thank you for the trust you had placed in me and for your support in my RfA that happened a while ago. Although it didn't turn out as I had planned, I certainly appreciated all the comments and suggestions given by you and other people. I will learn from all of them and will hopefully run again someday when I'm fully ready. Thank you. TheGeneralUser (talk) 13:22, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
I didn't give him a choice and forced him to adopt me for a couple of months, along with oversite from a few others. You could do worse. Farmer Brown - 2¢10:44, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
Don't think you're off the hook either, Dennis. If you refer to my updated user page, you will find that you, Drmies, and TP share that role :-) GoPhightins!19:04, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Second those sentiments... Good luck... but be careful so you dont wind up quitting the whole project as a result like several others have. Spanneraol (talk) 16:35, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
If you'd like, your first act taking advantage of your admin permissions could be to send out the WP:BASEBALL newsletter on Saturday. I plan to complete copy editing on Friday and can give you the info required to do the mass mailing then. (I've never seen the interface, but I believe I have the info required for each field in the form, and from what I can gather, it seems straightforward enough to use.) isaacl (talk) 18:30, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Hey, thanks everyone. I tried to hit the thank button for all who voted in my RfA, but may have missed a few here and there, so if I did not thank you, thank you, and thank you for tolerating my posting of about ten thank yous in this single sentence . I plan to dabble in some WP:PERM or WP:RPP soon, so if you have anything in that department, you are welcome to let me know, but other than that, I am still cautiously looking through the new admin school and trying to make sure I don't hit any wrong buttons. Anyway, thank you for your support, and I would like to point out that I have not been given my standard issue article of clothing yet ... GoPhightins!21:17, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Congrats GP. Some might see this as a successful week, but it is really the success of a few years, working to learn the system, to be a worthwhile contributor in all areas, and being an all around fair and rational person. You brings some excellent qualities to the admin corp, and I'm proud that I've been able to help along the way. As always, if there is anything I can do to help, all you have to do is ask. Aaaaw....I didn't get to support you. Pooh. Congratulations or....so sorry for you. Wink, Wink! (I kid...sort of)--Mark Miller (talk) 21:56, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Janitors are pivotal in real life; the quality of janitorial work can make or break one's experience in a building. Same holds true here on WP. GoPhightins!01:03, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, John, and if you want to discuss censorship and the like as it pertains to Wikipedia some time, IRC might be a good venue, or somewhere else. You name the venue, and I'll be there. GoPhightins!01:03, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
Drat. Sorry I missed your RfA, but it looks like you did fine without me. Congratulations, and welcome to the club! --BDD (talk) 22:34, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
Crikey - you give a Phillies fan admin status, next thing you know we'll have to promote a Pirates and Cardinals fan too. What's the world coming to? the panda ₯’22:45, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
For the record, this comment does not group me with those "guys". Dig through my contribution history if you're really curious as to whose colors I bleed.—Bagumba (talk) 17:15, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Meh. San Diego, I think, but I don't despise them as much as Dallas, so it's more convenient to group you with the misguided Cowboys fans. Phightins is Gone (talk) 17:22, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
As you are probably aware, I voted for you during you Request for adminship. I have been reviewing your adoption course, and I don't yet understand Wikipedia and all of its rules. I am seeking adoption. Will you be so kind to adopt me? -- Mmddyy28 (ContactMeHere) 23:43, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Hello Mmddyy28. I would be delighted to run you through the course if you would like. Phightins, would you like to use the same arrangement we used for JHUbal? Tazerdadog (talk) 19:28, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Whatever works for you, Tazerdadog. I trust you to handle the course; if you want to do it in my userspace, that's fine, if you want to do it in yours, that's fine too. I can pop in if you need my help, but I trust that you can pretty much run the course. Thanks a million. GoPhightins!19:30, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Earlier this month, Robert Dell leaved an incoherent rant about "rich man's wiki" in response to a warning I put on his page for misusing a talkpage as a forum thread over a month ago. When I reported him at the Vandalism noticeboard, you declined on the grounds that he edits very infrequently (i.e., in month-long intervals), and then advised me to re-report him to you or the noticeboard should he return. And he returned earlier today, again angry for having dared to warn him, and also demanding that I remove his name from a spam filter he apparently traced to Wikipedia that was, according to his latest rant, blocking him from getting a job for the last five years or something. But, then we had a long and frustrating talk, and I think the matter has been straightened out for now. So, please forgive me for bothering you.--Mr Fink (talk) 20:25, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
