DYK for Luis García (pitcher)
The DYK project (nominate) 00:07, 9 September 2013 (UTC) Another request for a technically inclined editorHello talk page stalkers, I have another request for one of you. I am looking to change the automatic date insertion in the cite toolbar (RefToolbar 2.0), so that it enters dates in the format MD,Y (i.e. January 1, 2013) for the access date. Presently, it inserts dates in the format 1 January 2013 (DMY). Since I edit mostly American topics, that is not what it should read, yet it is what I use, as I don't know how to change it and am too lazy to type it out, for the most part. I read this, but am more confused than when I started. I don't think anyone other than myself is able to fix it (other than admin), as I am guessing an edit to my js or css page is necessary, but if someone could tell me exactly what to post, I would be grateful. Thanks in advance, and have a great week. Go Phightins! 02:18, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
$('head').one('reftoolbarbase', function() {
CiteTB.UserOptions['date format'] = "<monthname> <date>, <year>";
CiteTB.UserOptions['autodate fields'] = ['accessdate'];
});
You'll probably want to add something to remind you what it is, so: // Changing reftoolbar autofill to MDY
$('head').one('reftoolbarbase', function() {
CiteTB.UserOptions['date format'] = "<monthname> <date>, <year>";
CiteTB.UserOptions['autodate fields'] = ['accessdate'];
});
// End reftoolbar customization

September 2013Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2013 Penn State Nittany Lions football team may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 01:34, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
a couple of things ...1. Nice work on the 2013 Penn State football page page during the first 2 games of the season. You have a way with the words in addition to the data. (I'm more of a data man.)

Disambiguation link notification for September 16Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Philadelphia Eagles season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ryan Mathews (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. I wanted to let you know that I've prepared a good portion of the grant over at meta:Grants:IEG/Reimagining WP Mentorship, but I'd really appreciate your review and input as soon as it is convenient for you! Feel free to just make changes, especially in regards to budgeting (unsure of prospective values), additions, and changes in wording. Thanks! --Jackson Peebles (talk) 02:52, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotWe are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page. IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation. Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information. Changes to SuggestBot's suggestionsWe have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping! If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. DRN has been a bit backlogged lately and we could use some extra hands. We have updated our volunteer list to a new format, Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteers (your name is still there under the old format if you haven't updated it) and are looking into ways to make DRN more effective and more rewarding for volunteers (your input is appreciated!). If you don't have much time to volunteer at the moment, that's fine too, just move your name to the inactive list (you're free to add yourself back to active at any time). Hope to see you again soon :) Steven Zhang (talk) 13:18, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

HelloSee you are online and i would realy need some professional help. Would you pls so kind to have 5 minutes for me? kind regardsAdniim- (talk) 06:54, 27 September 2013 (UTC) What can I do for you, Adniim? Go Phightins! 10:33, 27 September 2013 (UTC) Thank you for reply. I got a problem. I wrote an article and then there came a personal motifated 1 edit account witch did vanadlism to this article and did AFD to it. Also it seams he got some friends witch supported him a bit. This all happens when the article was still under construction and had a notice - do not change this article. its about this article Michel Von Tell the afd seams to be going unfair and not very objectiv and nice. maybe you be be a bit more objectiv and open. here my arguments why this should stay. WP:BIO says
2 Has had significant roles in multiple films, shows, or other productions. DONE Films, audio books, shows, books, interviews, articles, big blogs etc see in article (witch was/is still under construction). 3 Has a large fan base. DONE It of course has! you see about 1 million views on YT. His politic documentation alone got about 100 000 views. and this is quite a lot if you keep in mind it is a documentary about geopolitics!! also it is SWITZERLAND - less people then NYC! and this 7 million people their got 4 diffent languages! finaly you see he had very much highly notable guests. and i also showed their the YT channel of the 2 biggest TV stations of the country. www.youtube.com/user/sfr/videos this the offical channel of the 2 biggest tv stations of switzerland SF1 SF2 Schweizer Fernsehen. have a look at how many views they got and compare please! are this not quite many good arguments to keep this article? special if you keep in mind how small switzerland is, this article is just under construction? i mean hey. u know as good as me. 30% of Wikipedia got much less sources then this. would be nice if you could think about your voteing or let me know what exactly yor argument is. also i could show you hunderet of journalists witch are listed in wikipedia witch got WAY less sources and notablity then this article. here just some examples. Osaremen ehi james Larry Izamoje Chief Olu Oyesanya Meir Javedanfar Óðinn Jónsson Juan Bautista Rivarola Matto Leopoldo Ramos Giménez Luis Ruffinelli Alfredo Seiferheld Adriano Irala Fulgencio R. Moreno Sali Nivica Ludmilla Pajo Bedri Pejani Skender Temali Mirko Gashi Mirshahin Agayev Aslan Aslanov Kurt Thyboe Monica Ritterband Henrik Qvortrup Hans Pilgaard now tell me pls - why they are in and this article is not good enough? what is missing they got? would be nice if you could help me a bit. but anyway thank you for takeing time. Adniim- (talk) 03:14, 30 September 2013 (UTC) Bryan D. Brown reduxReferencing back to our conversation a month ago... the article finally got copyedited by the guild, huzzah. However, during that time I forgot all about expanding the lead. Facepalm So shortly here when I do go back and fix that it will have missed the nice copyedit job. I will probably have to look at other well-known generals with good assessments to get a feel for their leads. Shucks, anywho.. once I fix that up how do I go about submitting it for a GA nomination. :3 Up until this point I've only made B-class work. Is it as simple as going to WP:GAN and listing it or is there anything else I should do? Thanks much, — -dainomite 05:17, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

If there is a glitch somewhere, userlinks, or ((u|_______)) for example, all our nominations are getting advance notice and the surprise factor is ruined. Not sure what to do or how to find out HOW gwillickers found out. Any ideas?```Buster Seven Talk 17:50, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
