Yeah, he's actually a sockpuppet of another user that I've previously quarreled with. I reported him to WP:UAA, so like you said, he'll get the boot one way or another. Thanks again. GlassCobra20:38, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
I've always said a good no-BS way to determine what an editor's made of is how many times their user page has been vandalized. Needless to say, you seem to be pissing off just the right people :) Bullzeye (Complaint Dept./Brilliant Acts)20:41, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
It's funny that you mention that, actually; this guy was nothing compared to the last vandal on my pages. He was VERY persistent. It took me and three other users to undo all the changes he made to my page and my created articles. GlassCobra20:47, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
No joke, brother. Been there done that...it sucks the Project's such a magnet for the mental midgets of the world. I guess if they weren't here they'd be on Slashdot or Usenet (or throwing rocks at cars outside their house)...oh well, I figure all we can do is make like Jim Morrison: keep our eyes on the road and our hands upon the wheel. Bullzeye (Complaint Dept./Brilliant Acts)20:54, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey, just letting you know that the edits you reverted by 74.117.11.63 were clearly removal of vandalism; it even clearly states "removing vandalism" in the edit summaries. You even warned the person for fighting vandalism. Please take closer looks at the content that you're restoring from now on. Donkey Kong? Come on, man. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 04:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Pardon me, but I'd like a response to my previous comment, or at least an apology to the anon editor involved. User:OwenX has already apologized. Actually, I find your warning highly ironic: "Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason." I consider fighting vandalism a pretty good reason. As I said before, please be more diligent in reading the content that you are restoring. Even with a cursory glance you would have seen terms like "Donkey Kong" and "Rosie O'Donnell" and known that the content did not belong. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 16:44, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry but, in fairness, your first message didn't actually ask for a reply or even an apology for that matter. Anyway I meant to reply to the message on your talk page and his after I archived it but I got distracted with bigger, real life issues. Here is where I'm asking for forgivness for not getting back to you sooner. Clearly reverting their edit was a huge mistake and I apoligised to anon user for it. I also deleted the warning from his talkpage. Also when I reverted his edit, he didn't actually have an edit summary filled it saying "undoing vandalism" etc as it was blank. It was unexplained thats why I gave anon user that particular warning. But I apoligised now as I was clearly mistaken and everybody is happy and can move on from this experience. AngelOfSadness talk 18:57, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for the message about my edits. I was wondering why I was getting warnings when it was obviously vandalism and I had stated it the second time around. You didn't need to message them about it but you did, and I really appreciate it so thanks again! :) (74.117.11.6304:23, 6 September 2007 (UTC))

Hey! I've been doing a bit of research for this article, and it's definitely quite notable. I'd like to apologize for assuming that it was ever anything but; the title originally made it seem quite generic. As you can see, I've already done a fair bit of revamping on the article, including removing the CSD notice and replacing it with {{underconstruction}}, an in-progress template signifying that the article is undergoing a major improvement.
I'd like to propose a deal: if you find more notable sources like the ones from the New York Times and leave them on my talk page, I will rewrite the article and get it up to an acceptable standard. Does that sound okay? GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 10:35, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on David J silver, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because David J silver is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting David J silver, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.CSDWarnBot14:30, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I still don't understand why my article was deleted from the Wiki. It said something about duplicated text on another website but this text appears everywhere as biographical information released from Blindog Records LLC in Vermont, USA. Why can't I recreate the article following the proper guidelines? considering several people feel this is something that should be documented in the wiki. I left out the link to the groups Myspace.com account which the core bot picked up as a red flag and asked me to remove, which I did promptly.
Let me know how I can fix the article following the proper guidelines, rather than just deleting it and telling me I can't make it ever again.
Your article cannot appear here for several reasons:
As you know, the page was noted as being a closer-to-exact copy of a Myspace page. Wikipedia has very strict guidelines regarding plagiarism and copyrights; so even if the information was freely licensed, as you say, if it's an exact copy, it still qualifies for deletion.
Finally, as you are obviously the subject of the article as well as the author, there is a clear conflict of interest. Wikipedia is not an advertising service, and it is generally frowned upon to create an article about yourself, even if it is clearly notable. If it is non-notable, then it's actually a deletable offense. Considering that the "several people" that feel this article should be included are probably you and the rest of your group, it's not exactly a compelling reason.
You can recreate the article if you can make it fit all the guidelines I mentioned, but as I said, there is a conflict of interest, so it will likely be held to a very high standard; if it does not specifically meet the guidelines, it will be promptly deleted again. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any further questions. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 19:27, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

On August 25th I switched the CSD tag on this article to PROD. A short while later you switched it back with an edit summary of "Are you serious? The MTV is obviously a lie, and there's a karate box for a non-notable form of martial arts. This is obvious CSD." Yes I was serious. A claim to have videos on MTV, even a false claim, is a claim to notability, which is all an article needs to avoid CSD A7. Admins should not evaluate the truthfullness of claims to notability when deciding whether or not to delete via A7. Hoaxes are not speedy candidates. Dsmdgold15:46, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Re:Redwall Portal
Hey, thanks for visiting our little project! I'm definitely interested in creating a portal, but I've never done anything of the sort before. I don't really know much about coding, admittedly, so I'd appreciate any help you can provide about the technical aspects of building one. Drop me a line on my talk page, or on AIM, if you've got it. Thanks again! GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 02:26, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Hey, the first step is deciding what components you want to include. We can do virtually anything we like here, but most good portals include four content components of one kind or another. You may find it useful to look over some other portals (Portal:Narnia, for example, although there don't seem to be any featured portals on similar topics).
I recently became involved with volunteering at the Aishel House, and thought to publish a page on wikipedia about it. I did not mean to simply promote it, but as of the fact that i am not the best writer around i guess i did a bad job. Is there any way that i can retain the article on my computer for my own personal documentation? as the article is now deleted i dont know what to do. if that type of page does not belong on wikipedia, then i am more than happy if it is deleted. btw i am new to wikipedia and was wondering if there was a more user friendly tutorial available online.
thankks

The writing itself was decent enough; however, if you read the warning closely, your article was tagged for deletion because it read like a clear advertisement for the subject, which is not allowed. Please make yourself familiar with our notability guidelines and neutral point of view policy. As for tutorials, as a matter of fact, we have a fantastic tutorial located right here, so give that a look as well. To get your article text back, you'd have to talk to the name of the administator who deleted it, Gogo Dodo. Drop him a line on his talk page and he might be able to help you. Finally, as a last note, when you write on talk pages, sign your post with four tildes (~~~~) so that your name and the date will be shown. Good luck and happy editing! The entry for Perry Publishing and Broadcasting is needed as this company owns several radio stations that are entries at Wikipedia.
As for links, if you had checked at the bottom of the entry, you would have noted that I've had left links to both the company's site as well as their newspaper. The corporate site has more information about their history as well as their acquistions.
I believe that you had jumped the gun on this issue.
The company's website is not a suitable source. From Wikipedia's reliable sources guideline: "Articles should rely on reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy." (boldface mine) I can't make you replace the PROD even though I still think it's deserved, but I will be placing a tag noting that the article does not have suitable references. Perry Publishing and Broadcasting (part 2)
GlassCobra,
I've included a link to a recent article from "Black News" about Perry Publishing and Broadcasting recent station acquisitions in Augusta, Georgia from Radio One and this has been posted with the Wiki article.
Sorry that there is no other "outside" information online at this time. There was a newspaper article about the purchase of several stations in Oklahoma, but has since been archive. I believe in factual infomation myself, but sometimes it is hard to come by online.
Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late. I'm working with another user to get a Redwall portal started, but I don't think we need any help with that. Why don't you go over to the project page and take a look at the to-do list? Happy editing! GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 14:02, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
I leave warnings 99.9% of the time. I'm usually the one reminding other users to do it; in fact, I'd already done it tonight. I chose to leave out that warning on purpose, as I figured a D&D fanboy would just remove the PROD as they likely think that whatever subject it was is obviously notable and we are too small-minded to realize it. This probably wasn't terribly fair of me, though. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 07:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
What're the odds...sorry, I haven't seen you around NPP before...I still should've been a bit more polite about it. In any case, keep up the good work! I've watchlisted the article, so if it is removed, I'll just AfD it. DihydrogenMonoxide07:14, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
No worries. The reason you haven't seen me around is because...I'm a ghost! I tag with CSDs and then vanish into the night! Okay, not really. I've been around a while, though. :) GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 07:17, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
It's common courtesy to warn users before vanishing. tsk tsk :P Yeah, I remember the name, but it's not every day you see who tagged the article (except when you need to notify them about warnings, which I did today!). DihydrogenMonoxide07:18, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Virtually every other noteworthy DC Comics hero has an article about their frequent enemies, so why not Green Arrow!? I don't understand your problem with the reference links reverting back to the Green Arrow article itself. That's better than having no substance at all. TMC1982 1:05 a.m., 9 September 2007 (UTC)
So why is this particular one called "rogues gallery" then? If you really insist on keeping it, at least make it consistent with the other lists of enemies. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 08:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
I just moved the article so that it can be titled List of Green Arrow enemies (so that it would be more consistent with the other lists). I beat you to the punch! TMC1982 1:13 a.m., 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for throwing that warning on there, I hadn't really intended on saying anything, but you expressed my opinion well. It was certainly an interesting experience. I just wish you could have seen some of the stuff that they were writing in the articles they created. Hey Ya Article.
Hey, thanks for reverting that vandalism. Just so you know, it's considered good form to leave a warning on the talk page of the user whose edits you're reverting (see WP:WARN for more). I took care of it for you this time. Also, when you're reverting, please make sure to note whether or not the edits being reversed are vandalism or not, so that you don't brush up against the three-revert rule, as vandalism fighting is exempt from it. If you've got any questions, drop me a line on my talk page. Happy editing! GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 19:30, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
No questions really. I just did not wish that type of hate to be present. It would be nice if Wiki offered a way to flag for hate type things. I would have much rather tagged it for a fix than done it myself (As you noted I do not know all the rules.) Anyway, thank you for fixing my fix. Kep up the good work.
yes, they are not going about it the right way. But they need guidance, not rejection. I've been looking at such projects, and the way the coordination is handled is on a subpage of WP:SUP & by use of the article talk page. It is considered quite acceptable to explain there that it is a school project, and the rules. Here's an example: [2] and [3] and even a template {{Educational assignment}}.
I was in the process of writing some advice to the teacher. I just know of these things & am not an expert, and I was going to refer the teacher to people who could help more. DGG (talk) 00:47, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Sure thing, go right ahead! I was merely tagging it for certain things, as I saw that it was lacking at the moment. Good luck! If you have any questions, drop me another line on my talk page. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 02:50, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Hello Glass Cobra,
You proposed to delete my article on Perimeter Records and the action was swiftly carried out by C.Fred. I will rewrite the article with substantial notability and would appreciate any further comments/suggestions. Thank you. Rocktheknobs04:46, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Alright, you can give it a shot, but if you read the notability guidelines, there's a certain level of achievement and fame that needs to be met before your label can qualify for an article, and I just don't think it's there yet. Now, this is not to say that you'll never get an article, because you may very well qualify for one later. So, as I said, you can try rewriting the article, but if it's not up to a certain standard, it'll get deleted again. I'm sorry. Good luck! GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 05:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Unfortunately, the list is only for notable record labels. I'm sorry, I'm sure your record label is quite good, but it doesn't get a place here just yet. Keep working at it, though. GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 05:54, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
To myself, that is! I saw right after I posted on the Help Desk that you had made edits to the Smackdown article...and then I felt silly, haha. Anyhow, I'll try to be around the Help Desk when I can! See you around :D GlassCobra (talk • contribs) 11:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Yep you did beat me, but I went ahead and added back in the info he was trying to add, closing the table, and did some other cleanup tasks, like moving "see also" before reflist, etc. Thanks for being there! Ariel♥Gold10:56, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I think this is at least the third or fourth registered username they've had, in additional to a couple of IPs. Well, the reference that you're using is someone's blog, which unfortunately does not qualify as a reliable source under WP:RS. I like the other work that you've done with the article, though. Keep it up! GlassCobra02:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

THE NEED - Rock/Pop/Alternative Band. Members: Garrett McArthur, Danny Mareco, TJ Hartmann, Jonathan Beveridge
The Need is an alternative pop rock band signed with Universal Music Group through DelFi Music Group. The "queer-core band" that is referred is not correct. There were several corrections that were made, then revoked. this is not fair. We have a copyright on the name and are a current band going to be feature on the hit television show "Grey's Anatomy." Please unblock and let edit! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.129.69.164 (talk) 09:43, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for defending the article from that hijacker, but I should warn you that you violated the three-revert rule while doing so. I'm not going to issue you an official warning, though. Here's how to roll back a bunch of edits all at once: In the page history, click the "last" link next to the version that you want to revert back to, then hit edit. Highlight all the text and copy it. Then go back to the current version, hit edit again, and paste. Make sure you include in the edit summary whose version you're reverting back to. Happy editing! GlassCobra12:05, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
I always interpreted the 3 revert rule to mean that someone is reverting exactly the same, or substantially the same content back and forth. I had no idea that reverting in a clearly discernible series of baby steps that constituted one big revert would bee seen as a violation, technically or otherwise, as there was no back and forth interplay. But anyhow, I figured out how to install and use Twinkle, so I won't be fumbling around trying to figure out how to get back to the non-vandalized version of a page anymore! Thanks for the heads up.OfficeGirl12:39, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
You're right, that was silly of me. I'm sorry, I just saw a bunch of reverts and instinct took over. I'm glad you got Twinkle, though, I've heard it's good. :) GlassCobra12:44, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
YRBS
I saw that someone tagged the YRBS article for speedy deletion, and I do not understand. The YRBS is the only repeated federal study of adolescent risk behavior, and there is only one other repeated study of adolescent risk behavior (conducted by U Michigan). EVERY piece of information that we have about trends over time in smoking, drinking, sex, etc., which is reported in the media uses either YRBS or Monitoring the Future (the Michigan study). The YRBS is featured in hundreds of media reports every year. If you have doubts on notability call up any national, state, or local department of public health and ask where they get their information from, and look in Congressional hearings and briefings for policy makers. They all use YRBS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jerosenb (talk • contribs) 14:27, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm confused as to why you're blanking this. As a redirect, it serves to point users to the correct article as opposed to a blank page; plus, if the article is deleted yet again, this page can be deleted by association when the deleter checks "What links here." As a blank page, it serves no purpose. I'm not going to revert your edit again, as I find that rather rude; instead, I ask that you replace the content that you removed. Thanks. GlassCobra05:50, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Its a redirect to another page that is more or less trying to recreate a deleted page. The page got deleted, I've learned to deal with it. So should others. Try and recreate it at some point in the future, but not weeks after it was just deleted. Alyeska06:03, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I'm aware; I was one of the ones that cast a delete vote for the page, as a matter of fact. Actually, I think that this particular incarnation of the page has been created in error and will probably be deleted again soon. My point is that rather than just have a blank page that serves no purpose whatever, keep it as a redirect so that it can be deleted when the article is deleted as well. GlassCobra06:30, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
