Is it necessary to discuss such a minuscule change? On every player's talk page? Do you realize that would be the end of Wikipedia? You'd do best pointing me to a page where it says it should be written World No. 1 instead of world number one. ☆ CieloEstrellado06:33, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
I've already told you it's a point not worth discussing. It doesn't need to be world number one on EVERY Wikipedia page. It just is in the ones I've already changed. If you want to revert this, it's your problem not mine. ☆ CieloEstrellado06:39, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
So, as we usually do in such circumstances, I decided to protect the pages he had been editing disruptively, rather than leave some other admin the headache of possibly having to rangeblock. There were three, of which Semih Aydilek was one. The possible deletion of the article was not an issue to me; the PROD tagger is supposed to start the AFD if the tag is removed, instead of just reverting it back. In addition, I do not believe from his edits above that he would have participated in an AfD. Therefore, the protections were an overall response to his disruptive editing and threats, not an attempt to gain an advantage in a content dispute in which I was not a participant at the time. Facebook revision
Why did you remove my addition to the Facebook page with regards to public reception of the recent changes in the Facebook page design and layout? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pip2andahalf (talk • contribs) 23:06, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
Got it. Thanks for explaining. I missed where it was mention previously in the article. Now I see it. Thanks! Pip (talk) 23:12, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved!
Why did you decide to delete this article? There was no consensus which supported deletion of this well-known and well-sourced article. --Tocino18:19, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
The members list is currently under review so we have moved all past active member's name to a Incumbent List and are doing a Project Roll Call. If you still consider yourself an active WP:NOVELS editor, please add your name back to the Active Members List. You may also wish to add your name to any of our many Project Task Forces.
Devil May Care, written by Sebastian Faulks ("writing as Ian Fleming"), has become Penguin Books fastest selling hardcover fiction title. It is the latest installment in the book series about British secret agent James Bond and was released to coincide with the 100th anniversary of late Bond creator Ian Fleming's birthday on May 28, 1908.
Me Cheeta: the Autobiography, written by a ghostwriter, is the autobiography of Cheeta the Chimp who is listed in the Guinness World Records as the oldest recorded non-human primate at the age of 76. He has appeared in various movie roles which included twelve Tarzan movies and even battled addiction to alcohol and cigars. The book is not published until October 1, but judges for the 2008 Guardian First Book Award were sent a early version and were so impressed that they have included it on the 10-strong longlist.
Stephenie Meyer, who is listed by Time magazine as one of its 100 most influential people of 2008, has decided not to continue with writing her draft for Midnight Sun after 12 chapters of the unfinished manuscript were leaked on the internet.
Current debates
Categories for Discussion has a series of discussions about whether to categorize certain specific types of fictional characters: double agents, dictators, characters with eidetic memory, etc. Advice from any Novels project members would be valuable in assisting them.
WikiProject Media franchises aims to help editors with the coordination of articles within the thousands of media franchises which exist and has requested input from our members. They are currently discussing a naming convention for franchise articles. Since this may affect one or more articles in our Novel project, they would like to get opinions before implimenting any changes.

Newsletter challenge
Our last newsletter's challenge The Pure Land was completed by our member Maclean25, who also provided us with tipline news for this newsletter.
The first person to start the article is mentioned in the next newsletter. This month's article is Leslie Ann Moore's first book in her fantasy 'Griffin's Daughter' trilogy, which was named by the Independent Book Publishers Association as the 2008 Ben Franklin Award winner for Best First Fiction, Griffin's Daughter. Note: This article was previously deleted due to lack of notability, but that now can be established since winning this award.

A long time way back when I was a newcomer here on Wikipedia, JB posted a block notice on my talk page, but he wasn't an admin, so i was really confused that I was blocked instead of him.(Planecrash111 (talk) 02:53, 12 September 2008 (UTC))
I agree with you. I was doing a good job at that until he started vandalizing my talk page while I was starting page cleanup. The only reason I did "page cleanup" was to find my messages easier.(Planecrash111 (talk) 03:00, 12 September 2008 (UTC))
Question re: linkspammer
Hi GlassCobra. The Kiss linkspammer you reverted the other day... Kinetic1974 (talk·contribs) is still very active adding his Kiss merchandise sales website. Any change that website can be added to the blacklist so that the XlinkBot can look after it? Just wondering. Thanks! The Real Libs-speak politely01:50, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi. The user you warned a few hours ago continued to engage in edit warring here with a new IP and refuses to understand and get into his head that the source provided does not back his allegation. In case you need you know, the IPs 203.220.10.226 (talk·contribs) and 220.253.177.132 (talk·contribs) belong to WWGB (talk·contribs), who engaged in the same behavior in the articles before deciding to do so 'anonymously'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.42.133.65 (talk • contribs)
Richard Pimentel
hey, why did you delete the article on Richard Pimentel?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Starius (talk • contribs)
I glanced over, and it looks like a good block, that isn't the problem. Its just the summary of reverting someone because they're edit warring. The edit stands alone. Especially when you're the blocking admin: otherwise it makes it look like you're in a content dispute with tools, and that causes all sorts of stupid. I'm sure you didn't mean that though.--Tznkai (talk) 15:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Mfd withdrawn. I messed up; sorry. FWIW, I agree with the content of that UBX. It mfded on the grounds of Wikipedia policy, and justification for my Mfd of anti-LGBT UBXs. Again, sorry. --Josh Atkins(talk - contribs)18:14, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

How would you feel about taking the unusual step of semi-protecting the talk page of Lil Wayne (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)? It has really degenerated ... no discussion about the article takes place, and most of the edits are either anonymous forum/chat comments or vandalism and named editors reverting them. You indefinitely semiprotected the article nearly a year ago, and now the talk page takes the brunt.Kww (talk) 15:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
pp-semi-template needs to be noinclude'ed, I think
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Matt lee(guitarist), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. Was there a problem?
I thought my addition to EfD was in the spirit of the page. It was not intended maliciously. Besides, the user's page is a clear vandal-magnet . . . GreenReaper (talk) 07:30, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
I have noticed that Collectonian has been bullying and deying consensus in relation to this article, see talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:My_Neighbor_Totoro I am not an admin and don't much have the patience to take this through whatever disputes/arbitration process is recommended in such situations, but I'm getting a bit sick of this sort of tactic. It seems to be bullying and it's a pattern. S/he also ignores consensus (again). I don't know much about the subject matter, but even I can see some of the grounds given for these tags are both wrong and defying consensus (what is the difference between 712 words and 700 that requires a tag? Why not just delete 12 words?). None of it seems constructive, it seems inherently negative, and my guess is that this is similar to some of the dragonball tagging (which I've been fighting where I notice), namely an attempt to build a paper trail to let him nuke the article quickly later via either a merge or AfD. Can someone please talk to this editor?JJJ999 (talk) 07:32, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that JJJ999 never touched that article before noticing a dispute about the tags, and he then quickly inflamed the entire situation with more of his extremely nasty remarks and lack of bad faith all around. He made it pretty clear, to me at least, that he only did it to further his attacks from the Dragon Ball dispute, and offered nothing to the discussion at all except to falsely claim that consensus is required to tag an article, and making outright outrageous BS claims of "The tags are probably intended viciously, seem to disregard consensus, are inherently negative (the user doesn't care to search for references or improve it themselves), these tags are to deface the article and to create a papertrail for future deletion." I find it disgusting that he is being allowed to make such accusations that I'm "defacing" articles (basically calling me a vandal) and an acting "viciously" or in bad faith. I also find it extremely insulting that he is claiming some future intention to attempt to delete one of the top anime film articles of all time. I am both an active editor in the Anime and Manga project and in the Film project and I'd really appreciate someone putting a lid on his abuse. -- AnmaFinotera (talk·contribs) 13:07, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. I just stayed up all night (literally) doing homework. And I'm still not done. My mind is completely blown. If you think it should be longer, can you do it? I'm hoping to catch a few minutes rest. J.delanoygabsadds09:35, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Please let me know If I Can
I am posting this here since you appear to be following yet to be contested sanction
'User talk:Naadapriya/Community sanction'. Reply to inquiry sent to 'Guy' about the possible conflict of interest both as editor and Admn was never replied so that I can proceed with the protest. Please let me know if I can post that information on this newly created user page that you are following closely.Naadapriya (talk) 16:14, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Why on earth would you restore Image:Revan.jpg? It doesn't meet the WP:NFCC requirements for inclusion since it is hardly distinct from the image in the infobox. Rather that blithely reverting my edits to consolidate and diminish in-universe plot summary and non-notable tripe, perhaps you should review WP:WAF, WP:GNG, WP:NFCC. The onus for restoring or retaining information is on the adder/restorer -- yet none of your text reverts did anything to address an absence of citations to third-party sources. --EEMIV (talk) 13:26, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
GlassCobra, if you check the AfD, you'll probably notice JJJ999 is again making a rash of personal attacks, and has engaged in massive amounts of canvassing (as noted by another admin). I pity the closer of that AfD for having to sort through them all.-- AnmaFinotera (talk·contribs) 14:02, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Dear GlassCobra, thank you so much for your words of support, kindness, and your trust in me. My request for Adminship has been closed, and the support the community has shown will be with me forever. I have no way to properly express how grateful I am, and all I can tell you is this: I shall try not to disappoint you nor anyone else with my use of the buttons... and if I mess up, please tell me! :) If you ever need my help, either for admin-related stuff or in any other way, you are welcome to ask, and I shall do my very best.
heh. Yeah, pretty much. :) I actually had one person put {{unblock|I know for a fact that I should receive two more warnings}} when I blocked them after a level 2 warning. :D
Of course, I'm not as rogue as NawlinWiki is, but I suppose that if I got attack as frequently as he does, I would be somewhat more cynical than I am now. BTW, if you have Huggle, you should get on. There is a freeking lot of vandalism. J.delanoygabsadds18:49, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
It's not a problem, it's just that I'm like the only admin on Huggle now, so I'm kind of backed up, especially since my warn feature is fucked up so 50% of the time, it doesn work.J.delanoygabsadds18:53, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
RFA Thanks
GlassCobra, I'd like to thank you for voting in my RFA. Thanks also for expressing your trust in me, and I hope that I live up to your expectations. Don't forget, if you have any questions (or bits of advice), please leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again, SpencerT♦C02:27, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
I work for Guy and am available via phone as well. 707-290-2467. We have some critical errors on Guy's page...specifically his place of birth which is Columbus, Ohio. Also, we would like to protect his family by suggesting he lives in Northern California rather than specifically Santa Rosa, Ca. How can we get that changed without you changing it back? (Tomn2002 (talk) 13:11, 8 October 2008 (UTC))
One of the advantages of not having many supporters at your RFA is that there are fewer people to thank at the end. Thanks for your support and your willingness to look at my complete record. I'm going to try to interpret this resounding defeat as a statement that I should choose my words more carefully in the future, and remember that every statement I make gets recorded forever, just waiting to get carefully transcribed onto my next RFA. I would go insane if I believed that it was repudiation of what I truly meant: that no editor should consciously and willfully ignore guidelines and policies, and editors that repeatedly do so should not be rewarded for or supported in doing so.
Stifle closed the Tien Shinhan AfD as "Don't delete. Whether and where to merge can be discussed on the article talk page." During the AfD, there were 9 comments for merges and 6 keeps with 3 of those from canvassed parties. Can that be considered consensus or must yet another discussion be started at the character list to deal with the issue? -- AnmaFinotera (talk·contribs) 13:03, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Could you please delete the history of the article Danielle Lloyd (motivational speaker)? Otherwise it is pretty easy to undo the redirect and restore the article.
According to User:zzuuzz's comment in the AfD something like that had already happened, so it reasonably likely that it may happen again. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 17:40, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
I just read about "Cat Stevens' law" in the EfD for little me...and nearly spit up my brandy with a big laugh in reading it. I'd stay and pay you more praise, but right now my time is being used looking for a hard headed woman. :-) Ecoleetage (talk) 02:29, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

2000s Name Problem
Well, amazingly enough the editor who created this article has removed the deletion tags. I've never understood the point of this process when it's inevitable that they'll be taken off and everyone then gets dragged through the bureaucracy of an AFD anyway, just to arrive at the same ultimate conclusion of deletion. Do you fancy starting it off? I get confused by the process tbh. --Nickhh (talk) 09:37, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
