Names of NHL Czech playersThat link I saw in history was red, could you please post me here the correct one? If there is an deal, that in NHL the names will be writen without diacritics, as could be seen in television, I understand. But I want to know where it is written. Thanks. --Aktron (t|c) 16:01, 1 July 2007 (UTC) Your Metallica editI don't know why you deleted this information "While Trujillo did say this, on June 29, 2007, the band played "The Other New Song" again with only a new guitar solo and some minor changes to the vocals."
Minnesota North/Dallas Stars mergerCan you also post your response at Talk:Dallas Stars, so someone at WP:RM can see everyone involved, rather than just the people that posted at WP:HOCKEY and not there. BsroiaadnTalk 19:21, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Did You KnowOk, so, I got bored today and decided I'd try my hand at making a new article and did at Blood rule. After I did I remembered that since it's less than 5 days old and over 1,500 characters (I checked using some website haha) that I could put it up at WP:DYK. But, the only think I could think of was "[Did you know] ...that although the NHL has a Blood rule, if bleeding occurs during a fight, the will not always immediately break it up." and I'm not sure if 1) It's interesting enough and 2) If it sounds good. Do you think I could get it pass if I tried to? Be honest, it won't bother me if you think it's stupid. Haha. I just figured I'd ask you since you're good at making things sound...well...good. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 23:36, 2 July 2007 (UTC) Hi. A while back, you uploaded Image:Wilsonnflfootball.jpg. On the image description page, you don't explicitly state that you are the author of the image. Could you replace the {{GFDL}} template with {{GFDL-self}} and explicitly state that you took the photograph, or, if you are not the author, specify who the author is? Thanks. --BigΔT 14:42, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Image:Devils 1982 1983 team photo.jpgI believe the image fails WP:NFCC #8. This non-free image does not add significantly to the understanding of the article, is not iconic and has no critical commentary about it. Its use is decorative. Wikipedia policy trumps fair use claims. If you think there is an error here, please consider requesting a deletion review. -Nv8200p talk 16:06, 14 July 2007 (UTC) NJD task forceWhat do you think about it? Maybe it's just me thinking it may help the New Jersey Devils-related articles (without taking away from WP:HOCKEY obviously), but I think there's enough Devils fans to make this a worth-while project. Does it sound like a good idea to you or no? BsroiaadnTalk 06:14, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia: WikiProject Ice HockeyI don't blame you for being 'peeved' at myself and Djsasso. It just that 'currently' a majority backs me, as does the official team websites. PS- I wouldn't blame you if you 'reported' both of us (Dj and I). GoodDay 20:09, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
I just wanted to personally extend my thanks to you for your extensive suggestions regarding my nomination of Buffalo Sabres draft history as a Featured List. I hope I am not coming/have not come off as rude in my responses to your suggestions on the page. As I stated there, I missed the discussion on the WikiProject Ice Hockey talk page and did not realize such strict guidelines were in place regarding who should be included on the draft history page. I simply copied Calgary Flames draft history when I noticed it is a FL and wondered "hmm, wouldn't this be better with all the draft picks listed?" :) (By the way, I've retained my original work on the draft history at User:Skudrafan1/Complete Buffalo Sabres draft history, which should make inclusion of draft choices on individual season articles easier when they are created, eventually.) Anyway, when the discussion about Buffalo Sabres draft history is over, I want to then nominate List of Buffalo Sabres players as a FL. Considering your involvement with List of New Jersey Devils players, would you mind taking a quick look at it (when you have time) to let me know if anything is in desperate need of fixing before that time? Thanks! Skudrafan1 18:31, 2 August 2007 (UTC) Spoken ArticleJust perusing some examples of spoken articles as I prepare for a few of my own, and yours were some of the best I've found. Just thought I'd share that with you. Hope you plan on more! Reason turns rancid 01:14, 13 August 2007 (UTC) As you may or may not know, some of us at WP:HOCKEY have banded together and are trying to get the various NHL Trophy pages to FT status. It is a big job and any assistance you would be willing to offer would be most appreciated. You can find out more here. I'm thinking that a Star Wars film (as opposed to most other films) has such extraordinary cultural ties and media coverage to satisfy a rigorous notability test. In fact, strictly speaking in terms of WP:N, I doubt we could find anything else on that date with more frequent and reliable press coverage. Therefore, I'm reverting back. If I'm mistaken, I'm willing to be convinced so! Cheers! - superβεεcat 17:44, 27 September 2007 (UTC) WikiProject Ice Hockey newsletter
Knowing you are a Metallica fan and experienced with featured articles, I, a fellow member you must know from the Wikiproject Ice Hockey, would like to request you to help me improve the article to FA status. I've expanded it greatly during August and September and I think it's almost there. However, there are probably copyediting issues that need to be addressed. If you could lend me a hand, telling me what could be improved and doing some copyediting work, (English is not my primary language), I'd be thankful. --Serte [ Talk · Contrib ] 09:51, 7 October 2007 (UTC) I'm backHey man, how ya been? Hockey season's back, and so am I. I'm not sure how active you are right now, but have you finished the draft list? I still want to get the Devils to be a featured topic. I may not edit as often as I'd like to, but I hope to make more edits soon. In the mean time, to help get me back into it, is there anything that you can think of that I can help with? Or even do by myself if you'd rather me not touch something you're finishing. BsroiaadnTalk 04:23, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
FL Main page proposalYou either nominated a WP:FLC or closed such a nomination recently. As such, you are the type of editor whose opinion I am soliciting. We now have over 400 featured lists and seem to be promoting in excess of 30 per month of late (41 in August and 42 in September). When Today's featured article (TFA) started (2004-02-22), they only had about 200 featured articles and were barely promoting 20 new ones per month. I think the quality of featured lists is at least as good as the quality of featured articles was when they started appearing on the main page. Thus, I am ready to open debate on a proposal to institute a List of the Day on the main page with nominations starting November 1 2007, voting starting December 1 2007 and main page appearances starting January 1 2008. For brevity, the proposal page does not discuss the details of eventual main page content, but since the work has already been done, you should consider this proposal assuming the eventual content will resemble the current content at the featured content page. Such output would probably start at the bottom of the main page. The proposal page does not debate whether starting with weekly list main page entries would be better than daily entries. However, I suspect persons in favor of weekly lists are really voicing opinions against lists on the main page since neither TFA nor Picture of the day started as weekly endeavors, to the best of my knowledge. Right now debate seems to be among support for the current selective democratic/consensus based proposal, a selective dictatorial approach like that used at WP:TFA or a non-selective first in line/calendar approach like that used at WP:POTD. See the List of the Day proposal and comment at WP:LOTDP and its talk page.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 18:41, 13 October 2007 (UTC) Hi, I noticed that you commented a while back when List of World Tag Team Champions (WWE) was a Featured List candidate. I have recently nominated the List of WCW World Heavyweight Champions for Featured List status. Members of WikiProject: Professional Wrestling are a little hesitant to comment, as they want to avoid accusations of a conflict of interest. I'd like to get some unbiased opinions, so I was wondering if you could help. If you have chance this week, would you be able to look over this list and give your comments? Thank you. GaryColemanFan 02:57, 16 October 2007 (UTC) Scott StevensYou mentioned last time we talked that you needed a picture of Scott Stevens for the article. Well, make sure you get to the game on December 7th because, if you didn't know, it's "Scott Stevens Hall of Fame Night" so you'll have a chance to get a picture of him there. You should probably ask anyone else that you know is going to take pictures so you have more to choose from. I'm going, but I'd be too far to get a decent picture, unfortunately. Ofcourse, this is assuming that Scotty would be there....but I see no reason why he wouldn't be, there'd probably be a lot of angry people if he didn't show up. Haha. Featured List of the Day ExperimentThere have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:23, 15 November 2007 (UTC) OppsI totally knew that but I couldn't figure out why they were making that edit to the page, must have been blind and not seen the legend for what that meant. Assumed it was vandalism. --Djsasso (talk) 23:57, 13 December 2007 (UTC) RollbackI have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, you can be trusted to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. Acalamari 22:35, 31 January 2008 (UTC) SM64 spoken articleHi, I was wondering if you could do another recording of the Image:Super Mario 64.ogg. It was a very good reading of the Super Mario 64 article, and since SM64 has recently obtained Featured article status again, I was hoping the spoken word version could be updated as well. If you don't have the time or don't want to, I more than understand, but do hope you'll consider it. (Guyinblack25 talk 22:17, 11 February 2008 (UTC)) |
