MOTDs (This space for rent)You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! –pjoef (talk • contribs) 16:09, 6 March 2012 (UTC) March 2012 MOTD's award for helping the project in a difficult time

In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Wifione Message 03:26, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Speedy deletion declined: User:Jweston1Hello AndieM, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Jweston1, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Clearly not vandalism, this is a user making test edits on their own userpage. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. -- Lear's Fool 13:51, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

speedy deletionHello, I tagged Gireesh chemrakadan for speedy deletion A7 because the user who created is also by the name User:Gireesh chemrakadan and he has also removed your tag. By the way sorry for any trouble. Happy editing. Solomon7968 (talk) 06:38, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

The Costa ReportHi Andie, Thank you for your help with moving user: The Costa Report to The Costa Report (an article). I have created it as an article but now I don't know how to get rid of the user one. I chose The Costa Report as a user name because I thought I was naming the page. I would be happy to change that too but I don't know how. Suggestions? Thanks again! Linda — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Costa Report (talk • contribs) 18:09, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declinedHi AndieM. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Skyflite london, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, under criterion A3 because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. because author blanked the page, it qualifies for G2 Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Yasht101 11:37, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Talk page archivingHi Andie. I notice that you've just manually archived your talkpage (after the Downside issue, your pages show up on my watchlist). I don't know if you're aware, but there are automated systems that can do this rather onerous task for you - I use MiszaBot, which works very well. It's pretty straightforward to use; just add the following code:
to the top of your userpage and the bot will do the rest. Instructions on how to change the parameters to suit your personal preferences are here (the setup above will archive all threads older than one week into datestamped archives). There's no need to do this if you don't want to - nothing wrong with manual archiving - but I thought you might like to know that the option's there. Yunshui 雲水 13:22, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

The top of the page says that there are multiple issues. Could you recommend what to do to fix the errors? Ichthus: May 2012
From the EditorThis month marks the observation of Pentecost, one of the most important feast of the Christian liturgical year. It is our hope here that all of you, regardless of your religious affiliation (if any), find that the holiday, and its accompanying activities, an enjoyable and beneficial experience. We also hope that this "Birthday of the Church" is one which gives you the same joy as the birthday of yourself or your loved ones. Ichthus is the successor to the long running WikiProject Christianity newsletter, run under the WikiProject Christianity’s Outreach department. As such, you will continue to see information about our latest featured and good articles, DYKs, as well as new members who have joined our project. You might also see links to Christianity related news from the mainstream media! With that, I wish you all happy reading! John Carter, Asst. Editor P.S. Please click here to add the new Christianity-related topics Noticeboard to your watchlist to follow the latest discussions relevant to WikiProject Christianity and subprojects. Help Bring Wikipe-tan "into the fold"As many of you may know, our unofficial mascot, dear Wikipe-tan, hasn't yet indicated any particular beliefs. However, yes, as we all know, ahem, some people might object to our beloved mascot running around in a French maid outfit. People do talk, you know. ;) If anyone might be able to develop an image of the dear lady in a image more, well, "Christian," I would like to see perhaps a vote for next month as to which, if any, image of the dear girl we might make our own unofficial mascot. Please post your images here. By John Carter Christianity in other wikisBy John Carter Spotlight on the Outreach departmentIchthus will spotlight a different subproject or workgroup of WikiProject Christianity. This edition will spotlight on our vital Outreach department. This comparatively small, but vital, project unit is dedicated to welcoming new editors to Wikipedia and the Christianity related content, and to providing information to the various project members, in forms like this newsletter. The scope of articles with which this group deals is truly enormous, and, given the wide variety of material with which we deal, we would very much welcome the input of more individuals, particularly individuals who are particularly knowledgeable of the less well-known and less frequently monitored articles related to Christianity. Speaking personally, I would be very, very gratified if we were to have this become a very, very large and active unit, with members from the broad spectrum of Christian beliefs, practices, and groups. The broader the spectrum and areas of expertise of members we have, the better we will be able to help manage the content. Please consider whether you believe you might be able to contribute in this vital area. As long as it is not a blatant advertisement or an attack, users are allowed considerable freedom on their user page - see WP:UP. Though this was nonsense - it looks like someone playing with the keyboard - there is no need to delete it. Since the user is new, the thing to do is add {{welcome}} or one of the other Welcome messages to give them links to some useful advice. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 09:20, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Please let us know what you think of the new departments, and if there are any other suggestions for departments you would like to see. Anyone interested in assisting with the development of these groups and topics is more than welcome to do so. By John Carter I believe... in the statements contained in the Nicene Creed. I believe that the Bible is one of the two defining bases for belief. The other is the Sacred tradition, which provides us with means of interpreting the Scriptures, as well as some teachings which have been handed on by God outside of the scriptures. I believe that the Magisterium has been empowered to fill this interpretative function. I believe that clerical celibacy is a rule that should generally be followed. I am a member of the Catholic Church.
