I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Re: Marvin GayeOh ok, I wondered why that was up there and no I didn't use those books because I don't have them. I don't know who did it but I figure it was a Wikipedian that wasn't a part of the site anymore. I think he left because of the whole non-free image thing. Anyway, I thought you meant for the links below, my bad. - BrothaTimothy (UTC) August 28, 2007 6:42 PM RE: Cross-WitsWell, I did indeed see the first ten minutes of that episode. Let me see what I put down...whoops, sorry <(. I feel so bad. I just corrected that. But there is one if you visit the official Ralph Edwards Productions site. But you would think that if the first ten minutes were recorded, there would be the other half! RSprings123 BiggspowdThe best thing you can do about this guy is, if you suspect he's using sockpuppets and IP puppets, compile evidence that shows a correlation and file a checkuser request. This will prove once and for all if its the same person. I don't really get why they didn't lengthen the block on the main account after it was obvious he was evading his block by editing under the IP, but that's Wikipedia for you. Your GA nomination of High RollersHello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article High Rollers you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 3 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Pursey 05:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Bignosecover.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Bignosecover.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Doki Doki PanikYou asked about the trivia in the Doki Doki Panic page about the undumped hybrid between DDP and SMB2. While I hadn't heard about it, it seems as if the user that added it was Donknotts on 04:28, 14 December 2006. I assume that he must have information on it, so I asked him about it on his talk page. I assume that your interested as well. Do you want to try to find out about this too? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xensyria (talk • contribs) 16:55, 17 December 2006 (UTC).
Faux Pause sourcesYou said: Hello, as you had stated in the AFD Faux Pause entry, the article would need soruces. However, there was an article, specifically this one: http://www.xanfan.com/hotpotato/fauxpause.htm, HOWEVER, IIRC, the person said it WASN'T a source...but wouldn't it be a source? Xanfan is considered a trustworthy game show writer...his website is filled with true factual information. My question is, wouldn't it be a true source, then? Thanks. Unspecified source for Image:Hesaidshesaid.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Hesaidshesaid.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged. As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 04:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
To Tell the Truth GA nomI see that you recently nominated the game show for GA. However the article currently has no inline citations, which is a requirement for the GA criteria. Also, the images need a fair use rationale. Rather than having the article failed, consider removing the article from nomination until you have improved the article to meet the GA criteria. Let me know if you have any questions and happy editing! --Nehrams2020 00:05, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I went through the article and fixed some minor mistakes. Make sure to convert the links in the "Fifth edition (2000–2002, syndicated)" and "Episode status" are converted into inline citations using the cite templates. It is likely that the article will not be reviewed for a month (I reviewed yours the first time so quickly because I check all new candidates to see if they would be quick-failed) so in the meantime, continue to expand it and add more citations. The more you have, the better sourced your article, and the more likely that the article will be passed. I can't review the article since I helped you too much, but good luck with the nomination. --Nehrams2020 01:21, 1 July 2007 (UTC) Orphaned non-free image (Image:Challengersward.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Challengersward.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:47, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of To Tell The TruthThe article To Tell The Truth you nominated as a good article has failed , see Talk:To Tell The Truth for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a review. shoy 18:56, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Re: GSNI suppose there's room for statements like what you said regarding GSN. I think we're on the same page when I say that stuff like "It is unknown whether GSN owns the rights to xx", "GSN aired reruns of this show from April 1999 to September 2002", or speculations like "xx may or may not return to GSN in 2008" is not fitting for WP. Right? --Goldrushcavi 03:36, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Re: Tim DonaghyThanks for the comment! Your addition of an infobox was great and being able to dig up a photo that could be considered fair-use was helpful. It sounds like Donaghy is definitely guilty based on what Stern said and due to the fact that Donaghy has his Florida house up for sale. What do you think? RyguyMN 06:24, 21 July 2007 (UTC) One more thing...do you have a source where his three children are noted? Since that is not in the bio, it probably would be helpful to have it sourced. RyguyMN 06:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC) Yeah, I either heard or read somewhere that his house was for sale. I've been following this story as much as you have, so all the stories seem to blur right now. :) I didn't include it in the article because I didn't think it was relevant enough to the article. It could be seen as a coincidence to the betting on games. He did ref some of the Suns/Spurs series, so I wonder if there was any influence early in the series. I think ESPN said he did Game 2. This gives all the conspiracy theorists all the ammo they need. With all the questionable officiating especially in the last 10 years or so, it does make one wonder. Could other guys be taking money too? A lot of these refs are from the Philly area (Steve Javie, Joe Crawford, and Mike Callahan), so there could be some links to other guys. Heck this could go way back to even Mendy Rudolph, who was known to be a heavy gambler. RyguyMN 06:56, 21 July 2007 (UTC) Here's the link to his house being up for sale: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2943095 RyguyMN 07:29, 21 July 2007 (UTC) I'm all for locking this article since this IP address is making blantant vandalism edits. Do we need an admin to protect the page? RyguyMN 17:10, 22 July 2007 (UTC) I reported that IP to the admins to block that user from future edits. Let's see what happens from here. RyguyMN 18:13, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Good find on the articles, my friend! It sounds like he's been in a whole heap of trouble. Everything from setting a neighbor's tractor on fire, to scaring a US Postal worker to getting kicked out of a country club. I guess Tim is still at his house in Florida cause he was trying to sneak over the fence away from reporters and was caught. This is one strange dude. You would think these NBA refs would go through some kind of psychological screening before being allowed into the league. I know the NFL does this with their new hires. RyguyMN 06:25, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Here's an interesting link: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/2007/07/23/2007-07-23_nba_had_eye_on_ref.html Why didn't the NBA let this kind of monkey business continue? Press conference with Commissioner Stern, Tuesday at 11 AM ET - http://www.nba.com RyguyMN 03:23, 24 July 2007 (UTC) Here's a New York Times story saying that biography information on Donaghy's college athletic career may be false: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/26/sports/basketball/26referee.html?_r=1&em&ex=1185681600&en=240a01a17c63ae67&ei=5087%0A&oref=slogin. Makes you wonder how much information at the referee's site is factual information since its provided by referees. RyguyMN 18:27, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Mendy RudolphHey FamicomJL! While letting the Donaghy situation play itself out, I decided to cleanup the Mendy Rudolph bio. Since there are ties to Donaghy in regards to gambling, I wanted to see if there were any similarities. Everything is well sourced and may be GAC-ready. Would you mind looking it over and sharing your two cents? Take care. RyguyMN 04:58, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
GA Pass for To Tell the TruthApologies for the late response - I've had a rather busy weekend! Congratulations - you have done a superb job, and I have now passed To Tell the Truth as a Good Article and updated the various templates on the talk page. You may like to copy the following template: {{User Good Article|To Tell the Truth}} and paste it to your user page or somewhere suitable. This will produce
and add you to the category "Good Article contributors". Excellent work - well done! EyeSereneTALK 14:19, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:128kquestion.jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:128kquestion.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 02:14, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use disputed for Image:128kquestion.jpgThanks for uploading Image:128kquestion.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 02:57, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

It's thought that adding it to every talk pages loses its effect, which is why I removed it from Talk:Family Viewing Hour. I would only tend to add it where people had started to use the page as a forum about the subject rather than where to discuss the article. Regards, SeveroTC 22:51, 4 September 2007 (UTC) Re:Mendy CBS ImageHow's it going? Yeah, it's been a while! I got the Mendy image from a user who posted some of the 1976 NBA Finals game on Youtube. I then did some cropping of the screen capture. BTW, Tim Donaghy's wife is filing for divorce. Just came across the news now and added it to Tim's bio. RyguyMN 21:03, 8 September 2007 (UTC) Please do not categorize it as detective fiction. This category is for the pages relevant to the genre as a whole (subgenres, etc). All particular instances (novels, stories, cartoons, anime, etc) are better categorized according to their media, thus Case Closed is in Category:Mystery anime and manga. Otherwise the category becomes unmanageable and useless. Thank you. Henry Merrivale 02:47, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Paul Lyndei grant you that the two websites you cite declare two emmy wins for lynde, however, both appear to be kinda fan-krufty, and i question their reliability. after searching the databases of the emmys and the envelope please both show nominations, but neither has any record of any wins. ditto for imdb and amg. if he did indeed, win something, one should think that the emmy site would reflect that, and i'm inclined to regard that site as final arbiter. what say you? --emerson7 | Talk 04:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

It is customary, when adding Wikipedia maintenance templates to articles, to make one's specific concerns known on the talk page. It would be even more helpful if you were to add {{fact}} tags wherever within the article you see some nontrivial information presented as unsourced or improperly sourced. Banners added without discussion usually don't result in motivating improvement of articles and end up being deleted with no action taken on them. Thanks, Robert K S 06:02, 17 September 2007 (UTC) Re: Mendy a FAC?It's too bad he didn't have a book published, then it would easily be FA! :) The next best thing would nominate it as an A-class article.
