Per your recent edits at Cockburn Town, are you confirming that it is pronounced COKE-bern and not COE-bern? I ask because not all our editors have a firm grasp on the IPA, and you didn't say anything at Talk. kwami (talk) 05:20, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Looks like I was a bit sloppy when editing that page, and didn't finish. I meant to change the IPA to COE-bern, and provide a couple of sources. Oddly enough, I had trouble finding any good sources at all. I did find a couple that, while not great sources by any means, ought to be acceptable considering the minor nature of the claim they're backing up. I will make the changes presently - if my IPA is incorrect, please feel free to correct it. Cheers, faithless(speak)06:39, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Ijust wanted to reiterate how problematic this has been from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation IP over the last few months. It's not just on the Morrison article, but that's the one I have watchlisted. Wildhartlivie (talk) 04:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
I just wanted to note that the same problem has happened five six times in the last days: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5],
[6], and was blocked for the same thing in July and is fairly persistent. I believe this isn't just changing for their use of dating, it's become vandalism. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:48, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I especially liked the New York Times article. I also added it in on the 3rd Street (Los Angeles) article, which is pretty basic and needs help badly. That area is fun if you're ever in town. Joan's is seriously the best gourmet food place in LA. So I'm hoping the article will be around for a while.ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:39, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Happy to help. I'm originally from California, but haven't spent much time in Los Angeles. I'm from the Bay Area, and have also lived in Palm Springs. :-) faithless(speak)23:42, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Hello. Would you please briefly explain which part of the top box was not satisfied in the reverted comment here? I try to examine some allegiations about the given user behaviour but I do not understand why his answer to your repeated question was removed from here, as it seems to satisfy every "requirements" of your top box. Thank you. --grin✎09:54, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
His post here was in reply to a comment I left on his talk page. As I like to keep conversations together, rather than splitting them between talk pages (as stated in the box at the top), I moved his reply back to his talk page when I replied to him. faithless(speak)09:56, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
A portal peer review has been opened for The Beatles portal in order to get it to featured portal status. It will gain the distinction of being the first portal dedicated to an individual musician/band to reach featured status.
0 new articles have been listed in the Project Log since 1 October. The project log seems to have been neglected recently, and we request that project members help us to bring it up-to-date.
History of The Beatles has been recreated following the advice given in a peer review of The Beatles. We request your assistance in summarising the History section of The Beatles so they are not just carbon copies of each other.

Hey, while browsing through recent changes, I noticed you reverting lots of vandalism, so I'm assuming you are experienced with reverting vandalism. I just have a quick question: I've noticed that when I try and revert vandalism, especially page blanks, I get a message saying that my edit contains new external links and it makes me type in the words in the box (To prevent automated spam). It makes reverting a little difficult, and if you could tell me how to avoid this, I'd be grateful.

Sorry, I don't know. I've never seen that before. I'd suggest going to the help desk or the village pump. If you need help with anything else, don't hesitate to ask me; though I obviously can't answer all of your questions, I can probably point you in the right direction. :-) faithless(speak)12:12, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you to all who participated in my RFA- regardless of whether you supported or opposed,
all feedback is important to me. I look forward to proving in the coming months that the trust placed in me by the community is not misplaced.
