User talk:Enochlau/Archive 2007cThis page contains archived material written on my talk page during 2007. I don't see this as deletion bait. There's a whole category for Nancy Drew books, and this is a stub in that cat. Herostratus 13:32, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
MapleStory character classesWhy was this page proposed for deletion (on the 15th of April)? It was accurate and I used it on a regular basis. I think more than 5 days should've been given so I would've noticed and gone against it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.32.93.240 (talk) 20:38, 21 April 2007 (UTC).
Thanks for your help A very Californian RfA thanks from Luna Santin
Yep, I'm finally getting these out. :) Glad to see you're still active, although I don't think I run across you all that often (it is a big wiki, after all). Thank you for your support, and for all you've done for the project. – Luna Santin (talk) 01:17, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
The Gates MusicHello, I was working on a band's page "The_Gates_Music" but you deleted it before we could continue adding the requested information... We spent about 5 hours on that and cannot find any trace of it in deleted log. Can you please help find the work done so that we can find the necessary notability references etc. thankyou —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Exlibrisaustralia (talk • contribs) 02:14, 23 April 2007 (UTC). Cinematic SunriseI notice that you performed the deletion of Cinematic Sunrise. Would it be appropriate to protect it from re-creation? That was the 6th deletion of the page since 09/10/06. Slavlin 14:07, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
re: Sydney Law SchoolI've reverted and inserted a note on Talk:Sydney Law School. Did you know they used to test Maths? --Sumple (Talk) 08:26, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi Enoch. I noticed that you've contributed to the UNSW page. Someone's raised the issue of rankings, and whether they should be included in the page. It's not my particular area of expertise; I was wondering whether you could give it a look over? Recurring dreams 13:46, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
The Times is indeed very respectable, however it wasn't the Times that carried out the survey - it was a contracted consulting company called QS Quacquarelli Symonds. And it appears that QS simply went for a convenient sample. I understand that the purpose of Wiki is not to be juice squeezingly tight in terms of accuracy but when you do see it, it should only be fair to omit or correct it. Please read the following journal article and hopefully it will shed some light as to why I'm heavily opposed to the THES Rankings. The very problem is that it being an inaccurate source, is being used as a reference by many students - but more importantly many governments are using it as a deciding factor in their policy issues. http://www.geocities.com/universities06/ajueart.pdf I'm aware that the THES uses other criteria to rank the universities - nonetheless the article also explains each one in detail. In essence, it's better to have no metrics than have invalid/crap metrics. At least that way you are not misinforming. --Fredreck 16:38, 25 April 2007 (UTC) Portal of Evil article deletionI find myself curiously in two minds about this deletion. PoE is nasty, spiteful and irritating, but does it really count as "non-notable"? You could argue that it has had a major influence on the Web, if only because it has pissed off so many webmasters. East Hills Line PhotoThe train is on the tracks closest to the taker, which are the East Hills Line tracks. If you want to replace it with a better image, by all means go ahead, but I'd rather have that one than none at all. JRG 04:39, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Frederick_NoronhaAn article that you have been involved in editing, Frederick_Noronha, has been listed by me for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frederick_Noronha. Thank you. Editing a person's nameHi Enochlau, just a quick note to seek your help. An unregistered user keeps editing the Lillian Too page, changing her name to what appears to be her full Chinese name. However, as the person who started this article and did a lot of research on this topic, I cannot find any sources for this name. As this is a major edit, and if left as it is, may become an incorrect sorce of information for a lot of people. What do you think should be done? Thanks. -- S Masters 16:23, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Uni flying clubYup - at first it looked like something for the bin - will try to check a few bits of info that might be relevant for notability - otherwise I have no problem abut it going - cheers SatuSuro 14:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC) Hey its gone already - thanks for the pointer re uni clubs and notability - cheers SatuSuro 06:53, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
What are you doing? Why did you delete my article under criteria "nn bio"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by General reeves (talk • contribs) 06:49, 28 April 2007 (UTC).
So what? Why is it not notable? Ground Level Deletion QuestionHi Enochlau, I was trying to start an article for one of my favourite bands and noticed that you had already deleted it without a reason listed? Would you please clarify what I did wrong, as I was just getting into the process and was not by any means finished? The band I was listing was " Ground Level" .
Thank you for your feedback.

Wow! I don't think he's an impostor, no-one would go to the trouble. Looks like Ghena got some of the facts wrong. Though that's probably due to inaccuracy in the case law. Hmm... Kewpid 04:25, 1 May 2007 (UTC) API / query.phpHi Enoch, Just a quick follow up from last week's wiki meetup - you mentioned query.php, maybe have a quick look at the new API provided by api.php. I'm not sure exactly what the differences are, but perhaps the newer one has some extra stuff that may be useful to you with the duplicate-image bot you mentioned. -- All the best, Nickj (t) 07:29, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

I'd like to get Forbidden City to GA status. Can you take a look and see what needs to be improved? Thanks, --Sumple (Talk) 07:32, 4 May 2007 (UTC) Since you were involved somewhat in the first round via your speedydeletion of related articles, you might want to get a word in at the second round as well: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Simon Higgs. --Dynaflow 19:17, 5 May 2007 (UTC) Page deletion: The Guide To Selling Your Music In The iTunes Music StoreI'm contesting the deletion of a page about a book entitled The Guide To Selling Your Music In The iTunes Music Store. It was incorrectly tagged for speedy deletion by Dynaflow, who has now vandalized every page created by this account (this will also be addressed too). Wikipedia lists the following criteria for speedy deletion to include, but are not limited to, the following:
However, the book in question is specifically about sales and advertising. By definition it has relevant content related to sales and advertising and is not considered spam according to Wikipedia's own guidelines. particle 08:30, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
An editor has asked for a deletion review of The Guide To Selling Your Music In The iTunes Music Store. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. particle 16:05, 8 May 2007 (UTC) Fort Street High SchoolThis article has remained fully protected for nearly two years now. I don't know, but I think the vandals have gone away! Care to open it up again so this page can get a bit of attention? 58.178.43.12 15:21, 8 May 2007 (UTC) UpdateHey, thanks for the call. I've posted my reply and decided to take a break. This really disappointed me. I had expected some kind of rational discussion, even if it rebuked my behaviour. Curious about the deletion of portalofevil.comSite has been in wikipedia for a long, long time - are you a furry? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cheznoir (talk • contribs) 02:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC).
Who is Lee M? http://friends.portalofevil.com/fshow.php?si=3&userid=10410 And check his posts, he deleted the page shortly after he got in a hissy fight. POE is well known and historically significant for its place in alternative directories/searches. Considering sites that came later and were helped by poe like somethingawful.com etc still exist in the wiki, but you remove the source? That just shows how silly wikipedia is, it ignores the part of culture it was born from and emboldens childish behavoir such as Lee_m and yours. You have zero knowledge in the field, lee_m deleted it bases on a personal fight on poe's forums and you are going to tell me now that was a valid reason for the deletion? What a joke. Seriously, you should think before you act next. You are supposed to be acting for wikipedia, not for statue fetishists who have personal vendettas against sites. So are you man enough to leave in an entry that has offended your friend or do you delete it and expose wikipedia for the geek highschool it currently is?
Nottingham's CraveSo you deleted the page about Nottingham's Crave? What on earth? I'm sorry, but I wrote a note saying that I'd update it on Saturday after my exams. It seems you're a student as well - surely you know how it is. What your actions amount to is censorship. Who gave you the right to judge what is worthy of Wikipedia and what isn't? I bet if the founders knew about this they would be extremely upset.
History of the British IslesOn 5 May you protected History of the British Isles to enforce a "cool down" period to stop an edit war. Since there has been no discussion for a while it seems appropriate to me to consider lifting the protection, and I've raised the point on the talk page. Any comments? .. dave souza, talk 17:33, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

nictaI saw you uploaded the NICTA logo - it now has a new logo (see on its home page), and also is now officially called "NICTA", not "National ICT Australia". I wonder if you could be so good as to update the logo, and perhaps change NICTA to be the main content page and change National ICT Australia to redirect to it? thx
