User talk:Electric JapanLicense tagging for Image:DD.jpgThanks for uploading Image:DD.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to High Risk, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Cenarium (talk) 12:00, 19 February 2008 (UTC) I've moved the page to High Risk (TV show) as it seems to be the most common denomination in this case ( e.g. The Virgin Queen (TV show), Rollercoaster (TV show), Bull Island (TV show)...). I've fixed the links and the multiple redirects too. Cenarium (talk) 17:01, 22 February 2008 (UTC) Orphaned non-free media (Image:Chaney Lon Jr 1.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Chaney Lon Jr 1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. If you are referring to Hugh Hefner, his position at Playboy Enterprises is Chief Creative officer as stated on PE's official website. Being a majority stockholder is not an occupation. That's like trying to say having money in a savings account is an occupation. If you are referring to the him being on the girls next door, you can see I removed it by accident, and added it right back, an apologized for removing it. But that is the only 2 things I did on his page.Bleu Bayou (talk) 17:11, 16 March 2008 (UTC) Its ok I think you must have mixed me up with someone else, because you left this on my page ""Hello. Glenn Strange imageYour image and fair use template were fine, but the problem is that Commons only accepts completely free images. Screenshots of films don't come under this. Only Wikipedia accepts images that are fair use. Save the image you were trying to upload on to your computer and then upload it through the "It is a screenshot taken of a movie, TV program, computer game, web site, computer program, music video, or other such source" option. I can understand having problems with it, it's a bit confusing. I'll try and help you if you run into any other problems but I'm not all that clever at using Wikipedia. If you'd like I'll try uploading it myself if you can't for whatever reason. --Tombomp (talk) 16:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged. As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:Frankenstein meets The Wolfman, Lon Chaney Jr..jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Frankenstein meets The Wolfman, Lon Chaney Jr..jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI (talk) 18:31, 30 March 2008 (UTC) Your uploadsGood day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 18:33, 30 March 2008 (UTC) Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lon Chaney Jr. in Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman (1943).jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Lon Chaney Jr. in Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman (1943).jpg. WelcomeWelcome!
Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Image copyright problem with Image:Ghostbusters small.jpgHi Electric Japan! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.
Image copyright problem with Image:Jack with Boris Karloff 1939.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Jack with Boris Karloff 1939.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:56, 30 April 2008 (UTC) ReplyHi Electric Japan, your image for The Ghost Busters looks okay to me. BJBot (talk) 12:13, 17 May 2008 (UTC) May 2008You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Alice Cooper. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Fair Deal (talk) 13:58, 17 May 2008 (UTC) Re: Fair Deal: User:IndopugHallo. Was'nt sure if that age thng was a rhetorical question or not, but we don't do personal info unless you're over 13 and are willing. I'm sure you're not the type, but please don't drag this into a big issue.Imperial Star Destroyer (talk) 14:59, 19 May 2008 (UTC) Oh, and can you provide a source for that info on Alice Cooper? Imperial Star Destroyer (talk) 15:21, 19 May 2008 (UTC) Thanks. Please don't quit Wikipedia; if some people annoy you try to ignore them, and if that is'nt an option, bring it up on the article talk page. Perhaps that won't be very on-sided. Imperial Star Destroyer (talk) 17:52, 19 May 2008 (UTC) I think that all editors should be treated with a degree of respect. And it is a shame to have your hard work deleted, when all that was needed was a source. Imperial Star Destroyer (talk) 17:57, 19 May 2008 (UTC) HelloMy Japanese Wikipedian, how is things over there? I like your username very much and yes he did deserve that award, i have seen many users like him and i just hope he keeps it up and doesn't let the vandals get to him! Your comment about elimination of bad editors, well when they are bad enough they get blocked so they cant edit the site again. You must remember this is the wiki that anyone can edit and there have been times where vandals have gone onto become very good editors. Take care my friend and maybe whenever you see someone doing good on the site you should give them an award also, im sure it'll put a smile on their face. Imperial Star Destroyer (talk) 13:22, 8 June 2008 (UTC) Hey!I looked at the history of the page you were talking about and the user doesn't seem to be adding vandalism, theres just seem to be adding his POV and as you know on the encyclopedia we have to be unbiased and have a neutral point of view. Unfortunately i dont know anything about that particular group myself so its hard for me to see whats right and wrong. I suggest you add a message on the users talk page to discuss any issues you might have with him. Best Roadrunnerz45 (talk 2 me) 05:41, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

I just saw that and was very surprised. You are an expert on 60s music, I can see that. I am just contributing whatever I know, too. Having back-up is important with the straight facts, not a bunch of malarkey. I type too fast always on Wiki. I see the problem wirh it. Anyway, good to see we got the problem outta the way. Thanks! Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Jack Pierce and Lon Chaney Jr..jpgThank you for uploading Image:Jack Pierce and Lon Chaney Jr..jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Compareable to say the least. Wikipedia is now promoting the artist who has been ignored for years with his own creations. Adding knowledge to the readers who are interested in knowing this unjustly forgotten man. Wikipedia is meant to boost the awareness of individuals who have contributed to all fields. I see no diffrence with his well-known iconic creations. Electric Japan (talk) 14:58, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
