Recent contributions at KayasthaAre you happy with what has gone on recently regarding Kayastha origins? It does seem to reflect the source. I must also apologise for taking so long to copy over that piece from the Kulin Kayastha article as per our discussion on the talk page. I clean forgot about doing it until I saw you make a later edit. - Sitush (talk) 08:47, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Good tool for citing Google booksThis is a good tool for citing Google books, you just need to paste the URL in one window. Happy editing. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 06:11, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
DuttaI could not understand how those two books are verifying your information in the Dutta article. So, please clarify. I can see you are making changes in other caste/surname articles too. IYou can post at my talk page clicking here. --Tito☸Dutta 09:42, 10 September 2013 (UTC) Talkback message from Tito DuttaHello, Ekdalian. You have new messages at Titodutta's talk page.

Reverting changes made to Kayastha pageHello friend, I got a notification that you reverted the change made by me to the Kayastha page. This is to inform that I am presently working upon the Orphaned articles and due to this, I thought Kayastha Kshatriyas refer to Kayastha Rajputs(a page) and so, I thought to link up both. Could you please provide some info? Royalrajasthan2013 (talk) 09:03, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Regarding the karuneegar pageFirst http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karuneegar had a detailed description, and now you have removed it. I added content to it and cited websites supporting that. Why was it removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.193.229.71 (talk) 19:31, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Cheers In ictu oculi (talk) 07:55, 16 July 2014 (UTC) A barnstar for you!
Thanks a lot for this gesture! Ekdalian (talk) 06:46, 24 October 2014 (UTC) Bengali KayasthaPlease read WP:OWN. You are effectively a single-purpose account for the Kayastha articles and it is all getting a bit much. - Sitush (talk) 19:09, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
Bladesmulti, I am providing the links, as mentioned: 1. edit1 - Incorporating the section 'Surnames and origin' as per detailed discussions on the article's talk page. 2. edit2 - Quoting Shekhar Bandypadhyay from the source, otherwise it would have amounted to original research, you may please check the source, this. 3. edit3 - Stating what Andre Wink says, using quotations wherever required, again in order to avoid original research, please check the source, this. I don't have any clue about the rationale behind reverting the same by Sitush. Awaiting your feedback. Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 15:12, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
GayenHow was it vandalism this time? I added a group of categories, which included some very obvious ones such as Bengali and Indian surnames. The pictures too are original, and do not violate any policy I know of. If you find any problems with the article, remove them specifically. Please do not revert the entire article to it's original diminutive form. I've been spending a lot of valuable time into the making of this article, please do not constantly disrupt my attempts, as long as they follow the policies. I understand your concern, but please be more specific while removing parts of the article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by VishwajeetGain (talk • contribs)
I understand, and won't make further attempts to associate Gayen with any particular caste. My intention wasn't puffery as you have stated, rather an assumption made based on hearsay, which I have now rectified in the article. However, I still don't understand the necessity of removing the images, along with other parts of the articles such as the added categories- Bengali and Indian surnames (of which Gayen is very much a part), and the 'See also' section providing a link to Prof. A. K. Gayen, founder of Vidyasagar University, and the 'surname' tag at the end of the article. I have also tried to provide sources to most of the paragraphs, including the information on the Gayen castle, and the Gayen estate. I will add more sources soon, such as for the conversion to Christianity. I have added that since I myself belong to the christian Gayen family and have knowledge of it's historical role in missionary in Bangladesh. If you find any parts of the articles which you don't think should be there, please inform me. Also, please do not undo all the edits I have made, as many legitimate parts of the articles were being removed as a consequence. I do not have any specific agenda as a user, and I look forward to being a contributor to Wikipedia in a wide variety of articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by VishwajeetGain (talk • contribs) 10:47, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
