Hi Dwaipayanc - I commend you for the creation of Revolutionary movement for Indian independence. It was a good idea, especially as the main independence article is overstuffed. but lemme advise you that: (1) your articles does not cite sources, (2) it does not tell the reader anything in particular. Please add some sources, and information on the events/characteristics, etc. that defined the "Revolutionary movement" and people like Khudiram Bose, RB Bose, etc. I'll help you as much as possible. I've reverted your additions to the Template:IndiaFreedom becoz the template is becoming unnecessarily large. You will observe that the list of freedom fighters is hardly complete itself, but we have to be selective. Don't worry about revolutionary groups articles: there is already a "More" button which will lead to other relevant articles. The template only acts as a quick-point introduction to relevant topics. Revolutionary movement for Indian independence is now not in danger of deletion. You're doing good work here. As a note to the future, please don't be discouraged if setbacks of any kind occur or if you get into arguments with others. I'm looking forward to working with you. Bagha Jatin

I'm afraid that the version which you're trying to resurrect can't simply be edited so as to cut out the PoV bits; when I say that it's a mess, I'm not exaggerating. Much of it is incomprehensible or nearly so; it's written in dreadful and purple prose, and is full of errors of grammar, formatting, etc. I'm trying to build up a decent Wikipedia article; by reverting to the old version you're simply making that more difficult. 1. Thanks to Mel Etitis for helping out. 2. I'm afraid that I don't know much about footnote codes, but you could try Wikipedia:Footnotes. 3. It's not a matter of defending the article against accusations of bias; I don't think that there's any question but that it was written from a very definite point of view. Also, note that citations will often (usually) allow you to say things like: "According to x, this is the case", not simply to say "this is the case". 4. DYK Rajbhavan

Hi Dwaipayan, you are welcome wrt the copyedit. The procedure for DYK is that it is updated by an admin with intervals greater than or equal to 6 hours on all week-days. Practically, we update it 2-3 times a day. The procedure is that as long as the article is not a stub or not an old one and if there are no objections (wrt notability for mainpage, interesting-ness and length of the fact, POV language of the article), these are usually updated - only caveat being that sometimes the no. of entries are huge and so, some suggestions may lose out. One of the admins updates it. I have been actively updating it since mid-December. I plan to use a picture from the article for the main page - so, please suggest images (non-copyrighted, GFDL etc) also when your suggested articles have them. Hi - sorry if I took a while. You've done a good job with the references and writing of this article - lemme congratulate you on your enthusiastic work. There is nothing wrong with your intentions or work. The problem here is the style of writing which is POV and unencyclopedic. You have to be careful that you don't present Jatin's life as a story or include any glorifying or demeaning words. If you have quotes that glorify Jatin, obviously that's ok. But here's what I mean:

Jatin was alerted and advised to leave the place. But his insistence to take Niren and Jatish with him delayed his exit by a few hours by which time a big police party headed by top European officers from Calcutta and Balasore, reinforced by the army unit from Chandbali of Mayurbhanj State, reached the neighbourhood. Jatin and the companions marched through the forests and hills of Mayurbhanj and after two days of weary walking reached the Balasore Railway Station.

The police already announced reward against the capture of the fleeing revolutionaries.So the local villagers were also in pursuit. With occasional skirmishes, the revolutionaries, running through jungles and marshy lands under a torrential rain, made out path to flee and at last took up position on September 9, 1915 behind an improvised trench in a bush on a hillock at Chashakhand in Balasore. Seeing the grave situation ahead, Chittapriya and his companions asked Jatin to leave them and go to a safe place while they guarded the rear. Such a possibility did exist, but Jatin refused to leave his associates and decided to have a show-down with the Government forces.

- this sounds like a story - it includes dramatic descriptions that portrays Jatin and his friends as heroes against an evil police. Now you and I know this is true, but for an encyclopedia, this language is not appropriate. Its good writing, but not encyclopedic - where you're only supposed to state facts. Read the Wikipedia:Manual of Style - it has clear recommendations on how to write a good article. Lemme also suggest that you re-write this like:

Alerted (by...sympathizers?), Jatin and his companions Niren and Jatish narrowly escaped the police by hiding in and walking for two days through the forests and hills of Mayurbhanj. The three men dodged police and pursuers through marshy lands and forests until they were forced to cover in an improvised trench in a bush on a hillock at Chashakhand in Balasore. The three decided to make a stand against the police.

The whole article needs to be written in a matter-of-fact tone and language, as advised by WP:MOS. If you fix the problem soon, there is no reason why your version cannot be adopted as the main article.

Also, in case you have any serious problem with a disruptive/abusive user, a conflict with a user, or suspect problems like copyright violations, improper references or propaganda articles, I suggest you consult a Wikipedia administrator - reputable ones include user:Gurubrahma, user:Bhadani and user:Sundar. These guys know and enforce Wikipedia rules. I'll always help you out with anything, but these guys are in a better position to handle serious problems.

I've been keeping an eye on things at Bagha Jatin. I was a little worried by the fact that, while User:Phronima has been steadily working alone at expanding and improving the article, making use of material from your version, you and others were working on the frankly awful alternative version — full of stylistic and coding problems, PoV language, and irrelevancies. I now see that you (and the anon writer of the original, unacceptable article) have suddenly returned to the main article in order to make changes that often change good to bad style, introduce repetition and redundancy, and insert poorly formatted, distracting, and unnecessary references into the text. Please edit in a careful and co-operative way.
Just to give one example, you've introduced the text: "There existed also on the Western coast of North America , since 1907, under the initiative of Taraknath Das and Guran Ditt Kumar,several units of an organisation of expatriate Indian workers of Hindu, Sikh and Muslim origin, growing conscious of their rights in the United States and of their duty to India;" The English here is stilted at best, the punctuation is poor, and the style is PoV. Another example: "Jatindranath probably knew that logically, in a country under bondage - owing to leakage and betrayals - such an ambitious plan of an armed uprising could not but fail." This speculation, at best.
I'm afraid I totally disagree with the conclusions reached by User:Rama's Arrow (though his general advice, which contradicts his conclusions, is sound); I can't see that your version offers any advantage over the main article as it's progressing, and is significantly worse in many respects. about addition of political integration of India

But, one thing i want to add on Portal:india, if one article, say X, is a featured article then for X, no need to be a selected article, it should be removed. Synopsis of RDB

D, the synopsis is supposed to be a a brief summary of the plot, so that readers can decide whether or not they want to see the movie. It isn't an opportunity to show off high-falutin' language, or to preach your political ideals. You are INSISTING on edits that make for a long, opaque, near unreadable para with a strong POV. Please back off. There are other articles where you can discuss the political situation in India today.

I reverted when I saw it... my main problem is that you need to note a source about that... it's not just a simple summary... it's a loaded summary... and that needs to be acknowledge too... as it stands it was original research. Please take more care with your edits; other editors have to follow you correcting spacing before and after punctuation, etc. Spaces always follow commas, full stops, etc., and never precede them, for example.

Namaste! Thanks for your comment on my user talk page. It is great to be able to send greetings to a fellow physician. I only had the opportunity to visit Calcutta once in the early 1980s when travelling across the top of India, but I have been able to maintain a small connection to India by taking care of some patients from the area living in the US now. (and of course by cooking and eating recipies from the area). I would very much like to again have the opportunity to visit India again in the future. Good work

Great work in starting the articles on Benoy Basu, Badal Gupta, Dinesh Gupta and other Bengali revolutionaries. I've added more info on their birth places. Bikrampur in Dhaka District has produced many outstanding people throughout history, I think I'll work on an article on that region pretty soon. But again, thanks for taking the initiative.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear on my meaning. Richter's transformation, as I understand is CLL -> NHL - -which can involve the stomach.
