RE: Revert of Dining philosophers problemHello Ducknish, in regards to your recent revert of my edit which removed the "Gladiatorial Solution" section of the Dining philosophers problem, I would like to profess that my edit was not vandalism. The section, which was originally added in revision 484097325 by anonymous User:128.187.97.20, appears to be a ridiculous joke at second glance or at the very least a violation of the original research policy. Thank you. --24.83.19.10 (talk) 23:50, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Your rollback requestHello Ducknish, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, then don't use rollback and instead, use a manual edit summary. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 08:41, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
April 2012Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at Black hair, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage newer editors. Please read Wikipedia:NOTVAND for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. 66.168.247.159 (talk) 02:41, 4 April 2012 (UTC) Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!Hello, Ducknish/Archive 1. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Please look again at Welsh Valley Middle School, after which I expect you to apologize for your incorrect level-3 warning, or I'll ask for your rollback to be revoked. Happy editing, 66.168.247.159 (talk) 03:26, 6 April 2012 (UTC) Heads upJust wanted to let you know about this since you seem to be fighting the good fight at this article too. Thanks for your help so far, -Thibbs (talk) 05:11, 6 April 2012 (UTC) NoteHi Ducknish, I had this comment on my talk page from 66.168.247.159 about a couple of reverts you made. They pointed me to this and this, both of which I agree were not vandalism and should have been reverted manually rather than with rollback or Huggle (66.168.247.159 was removing content that other editors had already removed before, or in case of the Welsh school they were removing something they removed before with a longer explanation; as such, this is clearly not an obvious vandal). 66.168.247.159 has also made the effort to discuss both their edits and yours, and when someone does that it is almost always proof that they are not a vandal. I won't revoke your rollback rights for this, but if you do make similar reverts in the future, that will lead to having them removed (and not necessarily by me, for that matter, and I know some admins who would have revoked your rollback tool without any sort of prior notice). This all being said, I hope it doesn't come to that. Best. Acalamari 09:33, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
NoticeYou should have been notified by the user, but you are being mentioned here [1]. Dennis Brown (talk) 00:21, 7 April 2012 (UTC) TipRollback is handy, and can get you in trouble. I use the old fashioned undo feature or the restore feature in any instance where there is any doubt about it being a content dispute or good faith mistake rather than obvious vandalism. As a matter of fact, I try to use rollback only for times when I need to do more than a single edit of reversion, as undo is just as good to revert a single edit. That is what rollback is really for, to erase all recent contribs of a vandal, not for every day reverting. Same with templating. If it isn't VERY obvious vandalism, I just "undo" and skip the template. I've just seen it bite too many people when they make good faith but bad judgement reverts with the tools. If you have to err, err on the side of caution. Besides, most real vandals aren't going to read the templates anyway. If they do keep vandalising and it is obvious, I can always go back and attach for each instance, level 1, level 2, etc. and that is only for the purpose of AIV blocking. If you haven't checked out WP:Twinkle yet, do so. Another automated tool that can get you in trouble. ;) Dennis Brown (talk) 01:54, 7 April 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for April 12Hi. AFDI see both you and Giant Snowman voted "Delete" on the Russian footabll AFDs. Do you genuinely think Georgiy Glazkov a former manager of the Russian nationsl yeam is not notable? I think its sad you were willing to dismiss them all because of the fact they were short stubs. Especially as you have worked so diligently on lesser notable English players. I've expanded half of those at the AFD and will try to epand all of the those listed. I find it concerning that you evidently didn't even bother to assess them all individually but were frightened by them being useless stubs. Most of the articles were former players for Spartak Moscow which is a leading Russian team.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:56, 7 May 2012 (UTC) Please fill out our brief Teahouse guest surveyHello fellow Wikipedian, the hardworking hosts and staff at WP:Teahouse would like your feedback! As i do frequently when i come across something or someone i know nothing about, i googled her, looking for a Wikipedia article. When i didn't find one i decided to create one. Now, if you were a politician and you had the ability to run a business out of town to sell your land, do you really think you'd let the local newspaper or news reporters in on your dirty tactics? Of course not. So yeah there's no news reports that give this info which I'm sure that's really what you're looking for. But there's TONS of info on any racing board surrounding the quick fly by night closing of KCIR, in which it doesn't take a genius to figure out, it was a political move. And if you want to see if Claire owns any land, a trip to the county tax payers office will confirm this. But then again I'm sure you must be a McCaskill supporter because you are ignorant to the truths, so let it be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.133.165.91 (talk) 15:25, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

Criticism of GoogleHi, thanks for giving me an explanation. I'm still relatively new to making edits on wikipedia. The reason that I have a non-neutral point of view is that I feel very passionately about the adsense program, because I recently had a lot of money, >50% of my adsense revenue disqualified without any explanation, and I feel royally scammed. I've tried contacting google many times, but I never receive a response. I'm not sure if one can cite themselves as a valid source, but I doubt it. I don't think wikipedia has a place for anecdotal evidence, but it would be helpful if I could provide evidence of an argument from personal experience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.10.254.231 (talk) 04:48, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Login VSIHi Ducknish, thank you for your effort to look into my contribution of Login VSI. At the delete discussion page you mentioned: "The references don't exactly seem to be coverage of the subject as significant in its own right". I have seen Login VSI a lot of times in technical white papers by different vendors in the desktop virtualization space such as Citrix, Cisco, Dell, HP and IBM. I thought that a reference to their white papers would indicate that Login VSI is recognized by these vendors as a notable VDI load generator and therefor shows significance as Wikipedia article. To help clarify this, I now also added page numbers to the references to show where the functionality of Login VSI is described. If you do not agree that these white papers shows significance, please let me know what I need to add as well. Thank you very much! Frontaal (talk) 10:46, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Other possibilities to show notability are this white paper by Teradici (http://www.teradici.com/assets/files/qualifying-teradici-apex-2800-with-login-vsi.pdf) where Login VSI is mentioned in the frontpage title and another white paper by Citrix and Atlantis Computing (http://www.atlantiscomputing.com/downloads/GlassHouse_Citrix_Atlantis_Reference%20Architecture-10-15-2012.pdf) uses a special 'Tested with Login VSI' logo at the front of the white paper. I also found a white paper by Citrix that describes how to use their product EdgeSight with Login VSI (http://support.citrix.com/servlet/KbServlet/download/27301-102-664873/Load%20Testing%20XD%20and%20ESLT%20with%20VSI%20v1_3.pdf) and a guide how to use XenDesktop with Login VSI (http://support.citrix.com/servlet/KbServlet/download/24130-102-673656/XenDesktop%20with%20Login%20Consultants%20VSI%20V3%20-%20Guide.pdf). In these sources, Login VSI seems to be the main focus instead of only a tool. Maybe these sources are a better reference to show notability of Login VSI? Please, let me know what you think. Caroline Dinenage MPDucknish, I object to Dolescum repeatedly editing the Wikipedia page of Caroline Dinenage MP in a manner which grossly misrepresents Ms Dinenage's position on the issue of the 2nd reading of the Same-Sex Couples Bill in the House of Commons. By taking a few choice extracts reported in an online publication (without looking at the comments in the original context in which they were made) this contravenes Wikipedia rules on articles being editorially neutral. I am concerned at the motives behind Dolescum's revision, in previous comments, they have referred to this revision as a "war", rest assured I do not see it as such. Furthermore, the public record is not being seen to be amended, the official record (http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/) will always state what an MPs position has been, respectfully, Wikipedia is not the forum for which to highlight Ms Dinenage's position on one of many hundreds of votes. Its a educational section intended to train the employable skills of students. YOu violating normns of wiki is a academic engineering training and institute!!! Headerless 1I am extremely trying to remain polite. But this is extremely difficult considering the rude way you, Ducknish excercised censorship. I have added certain verifiable passages to existing Wikipidia pages on religious circumcision. After claiming that my added material was not verifiable (most of it is straight from Luke's Gospel) I provided the place in the Talmud where it is stated Adam, Moses and Zerubbabel were without foreskin. For my personal claim on David and Jephtah I refer to the involved Scriptures as well. Verifiable does not always mean it is in a book or magazine, so I provide my e-mail address in another passage. This way one can send a medical doctor to check on me in case of truthful doubt about me not having a foreskin. It seems to me somebody (Wikipedia/Ducknish/???) is afraid of real religious and/or political controversy. I contacted Intact America on this matter. I experienced a similar censorship at a site of some esoteric Judaeo-Christian zealot.
