I have added links to the most popular russian-language film libraries and to the news about the festival where this short film was presented. Methos God (talk) 17:14, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
@Methos God: as I've just said on AngusWOOF's talk page, merely adding external links is not the same as referencing, you need to actually cite your sources in a way that makes it clear which source supports what content. And those sources need to be sufficient to establish notability by either WP:GNG or WP:NFILM. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:17, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
Draft:Los Angeles County Chair Pro Tem
Hello DoubleGrazing I did try to find the reliable source but people are calming copyrights so i did try to find uncopyrighted sources so i will resubmit again and if we can find uncopyright sources 74.62.14.55 (talk) 20:59, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
You don't need to find 'uncopyrighted sources' (if such a thing even exists); it's perfectly okay to cite sources that claim copyright, you just can't copy content from them (or from any source. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:37, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
You just completely delete my post. Western Style Yak Cheese is real thing that Wiki doesn't cover. It's also important to the future of this rare biodiversity with implications for the future of this endangered yak genome. Let's discuss and give me advice. Nicole Skyyak (talk) 07:05, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
@Skyyak: I haven't deleted anything; I'm not an administrator, and couldn't delete pages even if I wanted to. I requested that your draft be deleted, and it was, because of its promotional nature. Yak cheese may well be a "real thing", but you should not use Wikipedia to promote it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:33, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
I think I was referring to your request for a "Speedy Deletion" (which took about 10 minutes).
As I said, Wiki's coverage of water buffalo cheese (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_water_buffalo_cheeses) as well as water buffalo mozzarella (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_mozzarella) is extensive and brand specific. Wiki's "Caravane cheese" 'says "Caravane is the brand name of a camel milk cheese produced in Mauritania by Tiviski" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caravane_cheese). Is this considered advertising? Prairie Sky is a brand of Yak Milk Cheese. There have been several Western style yak cheeses that Wiki hasn't covered (unlike Chhurpi or durkha). Yak Cheese in the West is a newer and more unique cheese than water buffalo, donkey pule, and camel, but it also deserves a place at the Wiki table.
Please advise on how to describe this endangered cheese in an encyclopedic format without getting deleted immediately.
@Skyyak: the first thing you need to do is disclose the obvious conflict of interest (COI) you have in this matter. You already had some disclosures on your user page earlier, but have since blanked these for some reason. As long as there is no public disclosure, you should not be editing any article in this subject area, and if you do, you may get blocked eventually.
You should also not be using Wikipedia to promote your business, product, or anything else, either directly (by writing articles about them, including them in existing articles, adding external links to articles, etc.) or indirectly (eg. referencing sources which promote them).
If you do wish to draft a new article, it must meet the required standards of notability and verifiability, as laid out in the WP:GNG guideline. Wikipedia only accepts articles on topics which are already covered extensively in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources, and essentially simply summarises such coverage. The mere fact that something exists isn't enough to warrant inclusion. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:05, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
@DoubleGrazing I have no problem with COI. I am a Heritage Yak evangelist. You should be too. They are the last relatives of the Wild Yak in Tibet (threatened) and will become extinct in the next decade.
We're using Wiki to get the word out about an ""important cause"", an endangered cheese, and we're having difficulty learning the Wiki rules. Looking to others who have been successful like the "Caravane cheese" brand promotion would seem to be a good method. Please quit accusing us of trying to promote a money making endeavor. It is incorrect.
If we can get a traction with Wiki, we can continue to provide your required "Notability" and help to save the yak by creating a yak dairy industry. We're not shills and it's not a small task, but you could help by giving us advice.
@Skyyak: I am not accusing you of anything. I am trying to give you advice, but you seem unwilling to accept it. And you almost certainly do have a COI, whether you see it that way or not.
@DoubleGrazing Thanks for your advice. I have closely followed the Wiki Caravane cheese post to help avoid any perceived controversy on Wiki side. With some effort we'll get there.
Hi @DoubleGrazing, Thank you for reviewing the page. All the information on the page are from the referenced sources and I have done my best not to introduce anything on my own. I see your point about the page reading more like an essay than an encyclopedia entry. I will read up on the links you sent and will revise the page. Vdastpak1 (talk) 09:01, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Can you tell me why is my article declined regarding Edin Krnic? It took you less than 5 minutes to put a NO for a person you know nothing about. Mirsaneli (talk) 17:05, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
@Mirsaneli: what language is it written in? My non-expert guess is Bosnian, but I could be wrong. In any case, it isn't in English, which is the point here: this is the English-language Wikipedia, and we can only accept articles written in English (as it said in the decline notice). I therefore don't need to know anything about the person in question, to know that this draft will not be accepted, as it is currently written. Hope this helps, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:08, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
@Mirsaneli: I don't think it's possible to move drafts or articles between different language versions of Wikipedia, as they are all completely separate projects. Probably the easiest, and possibly the only, thing to do is to copy the contents from the declined draft (just the main body content, not the various templates etc. meta data) and paste into a new draft in the Serbian Wiki (or wherever you think this should go). -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:22, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
hello! my name is maria lozano and i work at johanna ortiz as global communications director. we are trying to create her wikipedia page as she is a well-known fashion designer and its important to have her information available on the net. my article was deleted. i want to know what should i do to have it approved. also i can gladly change my username to marialozano i just thought it had to be the same name as the article Johanna Ortiz (talk) 17:31, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi @Johanna Ortiz: as I already mentioned on your own user talk page User talk:Johanna Ortiz, you must not attempt to publish unreferenced, promotional content, as this will get you blocked sooner rather than later. The way Wikipedia works is that we publish content which summarises what other, reliable and independent (ideally secondary) sources have already published, and an article must cite those sources as the basis of its content. Without such sources, it is not possible to have an article.
In addition, based on what you've told me now, you must formally disclose your relationship to Ms Ortiz, and do so before any further editing. This means disclosing your conflict of interest (COI), and separately also your paid editing status. I will post a message on your user talk page with more information on this.
You also must change your username, because your current name is misleading, as it suggest that you are indeed Ms Ortiz. Again, I will post information on this on your talk page. Please action this immediately. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:59, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
I have a question to your comment. From all the sources mentioned below the draft there are 3 significant sources. "Peter Meso is of Jewish background" this claim is clearly supported in the reference 19. article released by the Czech National Television, written in Czech language here https://www.ceskatelevize.cz/porady/1131721572-babylon/413236100152015/cast/254916/ "In his early years he became one of the laureates[1]of the Slovak National Composer's Competition for the youth called "Talent Revúca" this claim is supported by the article released online 2.^"Talent – ZUŠ Revúca" (in Slovak). Retrieved 2022-03-03 and in an online magazine published by the city establishment of Revůca https://www.revuca.sk/download_file_f.php?id=834732 written in Slovak language. All the claims and past laureates of the competition are also in their archives and available on request. Likewise, the claim "In 2003, his composition Concertino Bar-Baroque for chamber orchestra won the first prize in the Czech National Composition Contest "Generace" for young composers." all the past laureates of this competition before the year 2019 are available in the archive of the "Generace" competition" https://www.mhflj.cz/en/contacts/ and are available on request. Both competitions were held in the years 1997, and 2003 in the time when internet was not widely common tool in Czech Rpeublic and Slovakia, however the past winners of the competition are still available on request. I understand that these informations are written only in Czech and Slovak language, and also available on request in the above determined instances, does it mean, they can't be accepted just because of that as a significant reliable sources?
I hear what you say, but it doesn't quite work like that, I'm afraid.
You must cite the source immediately following the statement it supports. If the statement "Peter Meso is Jewish." has no citation following it (which it doesn't), then that statement is unreferenced, which violates the WP:BLP rules on referencing articles on living people. The fact that a source cited three sections later (!) may support that statement isn't sufficient.
You also must cite specific sources which expressly support the statement in question; saying that the information can be found somewhere in the source is not good enough, as this requires the reader to go searching for it. Similarly, it's not enough that the information is available "on request", as sources must be published.
Sources don't have to be in English, nor do they have to be online, as long as they otherwise meet the relevant standards (ie. be reliable, published, etc.).
I have further question. You wrote "Sources don't have to be in English, nor do they have to be online, as long as they otherwise meet the relevant standards (ie. be reliable, published, etc.)."
If they don't have to be in English nor have to be online, is there any information/demonstration on wikipedia help on how such particular sources should be used then in a correct way? I don't understand quite well, how the source should be applied in the article, if it's not online. If you could please send me, where can I find examples, how it should look like in practical way then. Some of the sources I was talking about are published, but not online, I am not sure how should I apply it then correctly in the article. Should there be some additional "quotations" added from the sources, that are published but not online? Where could I find a hint on how to apply such kind of source in a correct way? Thank you for your help. Efron Moshe (talk) 06:32, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
@Efron Moshe: for citing offline sources, see WP:OFFLINE, and especially the 'Usage' section which explains this well.
And yes indeed, adding a quotation to the offline citation is very helpful, since this lets even those without access to the source to verify what is being said.
Also worth noting that if you're relying on an offline source to establish notability, then you have to provide some evidence that it provides significant coverage of the subject, not just a passing mention; eg., that a book contains an entire chapter on the subject, or talks about it for 12 pages, or its title addresses the subject directly. (All these can be shown by filling in the {{cite book}} template completely. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:41, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Thanks very much for help, I will have a look into it and try to use it in the draft accordingly. When I am ready I will leave a message here and kindly ask you to check if its OK or acceptable. Thanks again. Efron Moshe (talk) 06:49, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi DoubleGrazing (talk·contribs). Thanks for reviewing this article and sharing your feedback. The article was about a place in one of the states of India. However by mistake the summary section got overwritten as Geography. Request you to review now and guide me on the same to move it into the main space. Thank you again. Optic26 (talk) 02:45, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
@Optic26: there is nothing to review, the draft has been rejected. In any case, the information is insufficient for an article — it doesn't even say what "YangTse" is (a town, a building, a body of water?). Besides, looking at the sources cited as references, I get the feeling you're making a political point, namely that this YangTse is in India, as opposed to in China, in which case that is an argument you need to make somewhere else other than on Wikipedia. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:09, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
@Vidyainwiki: I didn't delete anything; I'm not an administrator. I asked your drafts to be deleted (and administrators agreed), because they were promotional. Not only that, but you created multiple versions, even after one had been deleted. The word for that is spamming. My advice would be to stop that, or you will eventually find yourself sanctioned. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:05, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
@Aabaha: I'm not sure I understand the question, but looking at your username, and seeing as the same name is mentioned a few times in the draft, that seems like a fairly obvious COI to me? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:20, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
@SmileUrena: your sandbox draft has been deleted, because it was promotional. For the same reason, I cannot look at it. Please don't post promotional content (including on your user page) about yourself, as this is a sure way to get blocked. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:30, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
That was an interesting set of edits; I was on my way to ANI when you got there before me. I vaguely recognised the current 'draft' as it exists but cannot find if / when I did anyhting with it at all Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 22:22, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
@Eagleash: it was quite a tirade, wasn't it? Should have been clear that they were always going to get blocked for that, but perhaps they just didn't care.
They've had a few (likely COI/UPE) drafts in the pipeline, so maybe you did come across one of them at AfC. In any case, they moved one of these into the mainspace, it was taken to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Urowoli Hazel Kimberly Tesigiwa Oburoh and you dared to !vote for delete, so clearly you deserved all that abuse!
I'm part of family which now own of this Manor. Most information I have about this Manor comes from personal information colected from old owners and people who lived in the Manor and village. I'm working about this for 12 years and i'm still completing informations. Thats a problem with references. Most of them based on my own resarched informations, but I made what I could. I added few references.
Of course Manor now is a hotel, but the information in the article is about history, not about hotel services. The fact, that now there is a hotel is the only reason that manor is still a historical building and we can talk about it. Hotel company rescued it and thats a fact. @Mario1952: you publish an 'article' with nothing more than [[Dubai Meydan City]] — no other content, no references, nothing else — and you're asking me "where this big problem lies", really? Anyway, it has now been turned into a redir, so I guess that's that. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:14, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
@DoubleGrazing I answered like this because I was absolutely convinced that I had created a Redirect, instead I had used a wrong key. But it didn't take long to figure it out..... On the other hand, I'm someone who has been working on Wikipedia for over 17 years and I'm not a child. Maybe if you had a look first .... However, I was wrong. sorry.Mario1952 (talk) 16:14, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
@Mario1952: I came across when doing new page patrol. The moment you publish an article, it shows up on various feeds, in this case the NPP one. I have no way of knowing whether you're planning to develop it further, and cannot start chasing every editor who publishes something problematic, because some of them take days to get back to you, and some never do. Given that publishing is your way of saying "this is ready for the mainspace", I have to assume that's you done with it. Next time, maybe use the preview function, to check that everything is as you intended?
However, none of this is should be an issue, because if, as you say, you were intending to create a redir, that's precisely how it ended up. So all's well that ends well, I'd say. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:39, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
