WelcomeHi Dora Domino and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your recent contribution at Brabham BT43. I was wondering - did you compose the text in the article yourself, or did you copy it directly from another source (e.g. a website, book or magazine)? Thanks. OK thanks have just gone and done this for the three cases that I mentioned. Regards Dora Domino (talk) 15:04, 2 February 2016 (UTC) Hello again : I've made a start on the Referencing. When you get the chance can you have a look and let me know if it is acceptable? Thanking You Dora Domino (talk) 12:44, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Hello : Many thanks for your kind words and the tip. I was thinking of doing it that way but wasn't exactly sure how to do it but left it that way as the other thought that I had was they were actually meant to refer to specific Post Numbers but I couldn't work out how to simply add the specific Post Number. I assume that the Post Number would have to be added by editing the Reference (outside of the URL) manually? Anyway I'm happy to go with whatever is acceptable in the hope that it gets approved and replaces the blank page that is redirected. Once again many thanks. Regards Dora Domino (talk) 13:16, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Funny you should mention Doug as I was reading a TNF Thread last night where he admitted something he wrote in a Profile Publication years ago was incorrect and it had been quoted in numerous other Publications over the years as Gospel. He was quite happy to admit it was incorrect and glad it was corrected in that particular TNF Thread. I'll fix up the References and Punctuation now as I'm just surfing while watching the Television. I noticed too while putting in the Links that there are what I would have thought some fairly obvious pages not created. Maybe if I don't come out of this too scared I'll have a go at one or more of them. Once again many thanks for the kind words. Actually before I go do you have any hints for putting in what I call the "Specs" Box (invariably on the upper right hand corner) and also the "Race History" type Tables (invariably down the bottom of the page? After that I suppose I'll have to read up on the "Categories" bit. Best Regards Dora Domino (talk) 11:51, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Hello again : OK had a go. Partial success. Eventually worked out how to copy it and edited some of it but also unsure as I think some of the T332 information is actually incorrect. For example : the Chev is unstressed; most F5000 engines from the early 70s were Fuel Injected (which depending on the definition of "Normally Aspirated" may not be correct); the Suspension description I don't think is correct; and not too sure the weight is correct for a T332. Anyway then got massively stalled on deleting the T332 image and inserting a BT43 image. Time to call for help please (again!). Best Regards Dora Domino (talk) 15:04, 6 February 2016 (UTC) Good News and not so good news because of my lack of experience. Bob Paton (the MRD employee who was the main builder of the BT43) gave permission for me to upload his original photos to Wikipedia. I gave it a go of uploading the as completed photo and it seemed to upload (well maybe twice because the Wikipedia Commons thing confused me) but the Licencing Questions were also a bit confusing as Bob said it was OK to upload to Wikipedia but the Questions seemed to imply public use outside of Wikipedia so I probably haven't got those right. I then tried to link the uploaded image to the infobox like the Lola T332 example but for the life of me could not get it right. Eventually gave up but am thinking it may have something to do with it being a draft page? Anyway will keep having a look at the Instructions etc but any help in the meantime will be much appreciated. Best Regards Dora Domino (talk) 08:45, 7 February 2016 (UTC) Seems to work now looks like it was "just" a matter of case sensitivity! Added a Category of "F5000" but it's in the middle of the draft submission stuff. I think I'll give it a rest for a bit as if I start on the Race History Table I might go crazy. Best Regards Dora Domino (talk) 10:43, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Oops then I should probably undo the redirect to the draft page! Dora Domino (talk) 10:59, 7 February 2016 (UTC) Hello again : Be interested in your comments on the page now seeing it must be getting close to being reviewed. Still a few things to tidy up though including Referencing and clarifying a few points about Sources particularly where there are multiple sources and only one is correct. Regards Dora Domino (talk) 10:40, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
Geoff Ferris (motorsport)Started this page as couldn't believe it didn't exist already. Annotated (motorsport) as there already was a page for Geoff Ferris but that Geoff Ferris was an Irish Football Manager. Replaceable fair use File:Brabham BT43 as completed by MRD employee Bob Paton in October 1973.jpgThanks for uploading File:Brabham BT43 as completed by MRD employee Bob Paton in October 1973.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject). If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
