You have a point, and to that point I agree with you, however there is a visceral impact, particularly on the part of less-experienced Editors, to consider. Someone who might agree with you, and have something to offer, may not do so because the dissident voice is RED (meaning bad) instead of blue, which is normal, safe, and socially acceptable. I toy with doing some kind of self-description in my User Page, but then consider it might be unsafe. And sometimes I consider displaying a rainbow flag, and mentioning my Communist Party affiliation, and then common sense reigns all that in. Meaning, there's a spectrum, where there's a "not enough" on one side and WAY TOO MUCH on the other.Tym Whittier (talk) 18:04, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
