When I try to edit any of the sections, the edit box is empty. If you could check it out, that'd be great. Thanks. SouthernComfort 13:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

I found the item on a web page and I assumed copying it was fair use since I gave attribution of where I found it. I also incorrectly uploaded some other images as screenshots thinking that any part of a screen (including the picture) was legal. I was told it was not. So I went and tagged all of the images that I did not scan myself with the {{fairusereview}} tag to get a review to see if everything I had done was right. This is one issue that I find consistently confusing. Thanks for your assistance, btw. (Arundhati Bakshi (talk • contribs)) 04:19, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
BarnstarYou deserve it! You're always helping me out with images, usually with me not even having to ask first! Anything in there, barring profanity and the removal of the sacred {{please don't remove}} line, is allowed, as it is a sandbox for newcomers to test the editing system on. I'm just leaving you a message to thank you for your vote of support for Turkish literature's featured article candidacy; I appreciate it very much. Also, I appreciate the eloquent way in which you shut down the rather fanatical arguments about the Mevlana's ethnicity on Talk:Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi by appealing to his own words. Well done. —Saposcat 06:29, 12 March 2006 (UTC) BirthdayHey DT! While I've succeeded in bringing clear order and remove the excessive size and disorder on the page, I hope you'll let me know if I've made any mistakes or if there is anything I should work on. I've also greatly expanded Category:WikiProject History of India. Thanks, Rama's Arrow 08:27, 13 March 2006 (UTC) Bimetalic stripsI find it strange that an equation about Bi-metallic strips would even mention Young's modulus. Young's modulus has to do with strain from pushing or pulling, not curvature due to temperature change. Anyway, when I say your request I grabbed my physics textbook and did the hardest problem I could find on bimetalic strips. I ended up deriving a couple of (simple) formulas, fortunately the book had the answer in the back and I did everything right. So in short, I can't answer your question about [2] but I can explain how you find the curvature of a bimetalic strip and how you can create the equations that do so. I'll add more later. Re:Hi DT - I think it would be appropriate to rename the cats - include "History of medieval India," my unfortunate creation. I wanna be an administrator, and I'm very, very pleased to learn of the support I have from you and a lot of others, but its not a reward for being a good user (= my campaign slogan, btw!), so I want to work at RC patrol and other stuff. Question/suggestion: will it be inconvenient or too early to move on your RfA this week itself? Your record is pretty good and mature. Even if you're busy in general life, an RfA doesn't really constrain the candidate. The energy is there alrite. "Kal kare so aaj kar..." Please consider it, and give Bhadani the "green signal" for whenever you feel a 100%. Since you have a few issues to get out in the open, I'd suggest that you use the talkpage of the RfA to state them clearly. Understandably, after the problems on Idleguy's RfA, we are all a tad shaken - we being Bhadani, myself, Sundar... Rama's Arrow 03:35, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Your message at Rama's Arrow talk pageGreat job. You've done a lot of hard work. Does "History of ancient India" look a bit incorrect to you? I feel we could do with "Ancient India", like Category:Ancient Egypt and Category:Ancient Rome, or perhaps "Ancient history of India". Anyway, I think it will involve a lot of work, and if at all we decide to make a change, we can request a bot. By the way, it's high time you became an admin. Rest assured your RfA will be a cakewalk. I'll probably be all set myself in 10 - 15 days. Or we can stick to the previously decided date. deeptrivia (talk) 00:53, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Siddham is fine. But now that I see the source, I see that the "Nepali" arrow (the green one) is spurious and should be removed. Nepali is written in Nagari, and so is covered by the ochre arrows, and never spread to Mongolia as the map shows. Neither did the old scripts of Nepal, in case the author got confused about Indic Nepali (Gurkhali) vs. Tibeto-Burman Nepali (Newari). kwami 06:18, 17 March 2006 (UTC) Successful RfA
Will be happy to helpDeeptrivia: You might visit my user page for information about me and my views. I have time and I want to help. You may contact me by e-mail or through my page. One problem. Hindu, Hinduism and Hindu Portal pages, the three pages that I have visited, say that Hinduism is based on Aryan/Vedic beliefs. As I mention on my user page, this is a deep fallacy, and only pleases the Arya Samajis or the Smartas. I also believe that Aryans were immigrants to India. I think the indigenous beliefs (Shiva and Vishnu) are being disregarded. This would delight only the Christians and Muslims, and will cause deep sorrow to all who do not think they have Aryan descent. Changes made by me were reverted. Would you please have a look? Aupmanyav 08:24, 17 March 2006 (UTC) Hindu portalThanks deeptrivia for your welcome. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. i was figuring out all the features of wiki. My plans are to present hinduism in a balanced, scholarly fashion. Please visit my userpage. regards AshwamedhaSaw your message on Ashwamedha. Read somewhere that Ashwamedha was symbolic even in Vedic times. This was held during the long arctic night in the Aryan homeland (Ati Ratra) by priests fortified by Soma (Arctic nights must have been terribly cold). Perhaps it was to strengthen Indra's mount, so that he could fight with the demons successfully and bring back the Sun as early as possible (though, sun came up only at its appointed time even with all their efforts, but it always feels good to have taken part). Aupmanyav 16:12, 18 March 2006 (UTC) May be you did not read my response to that allegation. I did not write those lines. If you believe that I did then please challenge them in the RfC.
