Speedy note

Hey decltype, perhaps you care to saunter over to User_talk:Sheeana#Speedy_deletion_declined:_Bbag and give your professional, administrative opinion on the db-reason proposition. You know this better than I do, and I don't want to muddy the waters. Tack! Drmies (talk) 04:31, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi Drmies! Hope my answer was useful. Regards, decltype (talk) 05:49, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, it was. I'm a bit shocked to hear though that admins will, if Sheaana is right, employ such latitude. Here we are at RfA nitpicking every speedy deletion criterion to try and trip up a candidate, and there an admin would delete a drink as if it were a club? (Again, if Sheeana is right!) Odd. Hey, nice to see you and your beautiful font again. Take care, Drmies (talk) 14:12, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Hehe, I wouldn't say "try[ing to] trip up" candidates, more like ensuring the candidate can be trusted to delete responsibly. Glad to hear that the

font looks nice on your computer :) Regards, decltype (talk) 06:45, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

deleting my poem

sir first of all it was created by me on my orkut account 3 year back, no one has raised any copyright claim. but if you are glad with this type of behaviour then mention not, i will not put my own research on wikipedia on my user page, thanks for your suggestion--Luky (talk) 18:51, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, but since the poem consists of the lyrics of "Aerials", the copyright to it is probably held by one or more members of System of a Down, or possibly some other entity, and you cannot claim it as your own. Regards, decltype (talk) 18:56, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
ok, but thanks for informing me about such violation of copyright, i have no objection from this, my main moto was to give every type of benefit to wikipedia, sir can you tell me which type of help or edits ,i can serve to wikipedia, is there any article or link to read this carefully, thanks--Luky (talk) 19:01, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
There are many ways in which to contribute positively to Wikipedia, too many to list here, actually. It all depends on what kind of editing you would like to do. I suggest looking at the links in the "Welcome" section of your user talk page as a starting point. Regards, decltype (talk) 19:04, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Anna von Hausswolff, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.annavonhausswolff.com. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I think this is one of the latter cases ;) decltype (talk) 22:01, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Thought that you might be interested

Since you changed my speedy to a prod, I though that you might be interested in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alexey Golobrodko. Possible hoax? Joe Chill (talk) 01:07, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the notification, I am indeed interested. I do not think it is a hoax, see my comment at the AfD. Regards, decltype (talk) 01:19, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Washington Ice Dogs beat Red Army

Thanks for the note. I do know the CSD criteria but my definition of "meaningful content" excludes yellow press newslike articles with sensationalist titles and I didn't see how this one could ever be turned into a proper article. That's why I tagged it with CSD instead of letting it sit for the prod period. De728631 (talk) 22:49, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

I see. Still, it has to fit a CSD criterion to be eligible for speedy deletion, and I don't think this one does. Regards, decltype (talk) 05:28, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Decline speedy?

The text reads: He is a rather large and slow witted individual with thirteen fingers and has a propensity towards violence. Is that not an attack? — Timneu22 · talk 10:09, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Although there is a negative characterization, the page does not seem to have been created merely to disparage their subject, as required by G10. Had the subject been a real, living person, the situation would have been different. decltype (talk) 10:14, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
I guess it was hard to tell if the topic was real. I err on the side of caution: if the first sentence says something "he's a fat dude", I lean to db-attack. — Timneu22 · talk 10:17, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
