List of Teams' SeasonsWhy do the NHL teams seasons list only include the current iteration of that team? Such as, the Arizona/Phoenix Coyotes seasons list as a separate article from the 1972–1996 Winnipeg Jets seasons list or Colorado and Quebec? I mean the teams are considered the same according to the NHL and Wikipedia despite the relocation. The NBA, MLB, and NFL seasons articles do not have separate articles for relocated teams. So, is there a precedent or former RM/RfC that does not allow for these articles to merge? Conyo14 (talk) 16:31, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
LowercaseI've asked twice now in the discussion portion if Stanley Cup Finals, a proper name, is included in the RfC and as yet nobody has commented. The RfC may act as a workaround including a lowercase change in that major name (see the nomination question where 'Finals' and Stanley Cup "etc." are included) and have asked that until that is clarified that 'Finals' and "etc." be removed from the nomination question. Another heads-up on DicklyonHe's apparently gone on the warpath this morning through a variety of pages, including a multitude of college hockey seasons and drafts. Figured I'd let you know in order to fix some of the damages. The Kip (talk) 05:29, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
Your pingDeadman, can you tell me how you came up with the list of editors you invited in this edit? Dicklyon (talk) 04:37, 28 May 2023 (UTC) I hope you had a pleasant Memorial Day weekend. Now that you're back, I'd appreciate hearing how you selected this list of editors to ping. Dicklyon (talk) 02:43, 30 May 2023 (UTC) Sorry, I should have at least waited until after the game ended. Dicklyon (talk) 03:38, 30 May 2023 (UTC) Since you haven't said otherwise, I'll assume you combed the archives for people who have complained about me. Don't do such things. Dicklyon (talk) 03:17, 6 June 2023 (UTC) Conn SmytheSorry to interrupt your intense hockey-watching, but who the heck is going to win the Conn Smythe if Vegas wins? The last three years have been easy picks. This year it seems like it's a three-way tie between Stone, Eichel, and Marchessault. Have you heard any rumblings on who it could be? 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs TV ScheduleSo I was on the NHL Website and I found out that TruTV will be simulcasting both Game 1s this Saturday. However, I actually cannot edit the page as it is semi-protected, so if you can add them before Saturday, that would be great. Also, because of Islanders–Hurricanes (Assuming if it will be the whole series) being aired on CBC, it looks like we might be getting five series altogether on CBC in the First Round. If that is the case, then here is what the commentator structure would look like: Maple Leafs–Bruins: Chris Cuthbert, Craig Simpson, Kyle Bukauskas Islanders–Hurricanes: John Bartlett, Garry Galley, Sean Reynolds Avalanche–Jets: Rick Ball, Greg Millen, Caroline Cameron Predators–Canucks: John Shorthouse, Dave Tomlinson, Dan Murphy Golden Knights/Kings–Oilers: Harnarayan Singh, Louie DeBrusk, Scott Oake That would be two series in the east and three series in the west, which means CBC might have to do a triple header on alternating days, which means either ESPN on TNT will also have to do a triple header on alternating days in the USA (subject to change). That's all I have for now. I'll let you know if anything else comes up. Hopes this helps. 2601:647:4300:2D0:202D:EC63:426A:D873 (talk) 04:15, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

Canucks–Oilers Game 6 on ABC/ESPN+So the Hurricanes beat the Rangers in Game 4 and we know that Game 5 will be on Monday on ESPN as the Rangers will look to get a gentleman's sweep (4–1 series win) and advance to the ECF. However, the league announced that a potential Game 6 will be on Thursday on TNT/TruTV/Max. If the Rangers do not win either one of those two games, then Game 7 will likely be aired on ABC/ESPN+ next Saturday. However, if the Rangers do win either Game 5 or Game 6, then ABC/ESPN+ will air Canucks–Oilers a potential Game 6 next Saturday, which is an all-Canadian matchup that can hurt both the ratings and the viewership. Please note that the playoffs so far have been averaging 1.03 million viewers across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, and TruTV, which is up 7% from last season according to Sports Media Watch and an all-Canadian matchup on ABC/ESPN+ could in theory bring the average viewership down. I have some other things to bring up about what would happen if does tend to become the case, but I might have to bring that up another time. Anyways, thanks. Readyplayer2020 (talk) 03:40, 12 May 2024 (UTC) NHL Saturday NightSo the league has announced that a potential Game 7 between the Hurricanes and the Rangers will be aired at 8 pm et on ABC/ESPN+ if the Hurricanes win (Currently leading 3–2). If the Hurricanes hold on to the lead, then Canucks–Oilers Game 6 will likely be aired at 5 pm et on ESPN, but CBC will not air it in Canada in lieu of the Olympic & Paralympic Swimming Trials in Toronto. However, if the Rangers can make a comeback, then Canucks–Oilers Game 6 will be aired at 8 pm et on ABC/ESPN+ and CBC will be able to air it in Canada. Anyways, thanks.
