QuaylinkWhat do you not like about my selection of images? I only actually removed one that was there previously, but I added two more - one of a stop, one of a Versa from the front, and one of a standard Stagecoach bus operating Q1. Surely that's preferable to a single image of a Versa showing only its side. And why are you attached to a list of the places it stops at? I included a prose version as a replacement, which says the same thing but with more context. I don't think the list will make any sense to anyone not already familiar with the area, and there was a link to a map for those who aren't. More importantly, in a few days, it will be out of date. Are you going to add a list for the new Q1/Q2/Q3? Because I don't particularly want to, but the article will obviously look odd and perhaps mislead people if it's not added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JoNamorn (talk • contribs) 17:26, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

MOS:IDENTITY and MOS:GNL would certainly seem to suggest that if Saoirse Ronan calls herself an actor as opposed to actress, a la Helen Mirren, and it's referenced, then that's what WP should also do. I am not aware that consensus gets to override the MOS. The "consensus" consists of 4 editors - not counting Musdan77, 2 of those are blocked, and 3 of them have 190 edits between them. Sundayclose also seems happy with "actor"... BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 19:42, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

AfD 2017 Formula One seasonHi. While I think that your closing rationale on this AfD discussion is very reasonable, you closed this way to soon. The rules state that an AfD should be allowed to run seven full days and you barely gave it 50 hours. That's way to short. Therefore I would kindly request you to undo your closing and allow the discussion to run its full course. Thanks, Tvx1 21:42, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Russian actresses nominationsHi, most, actually all, Russian and Soviet actresses you've nominated are notable with references available only in Russian. I've been unlucky enough to be born in Soviet Union, so I saw them in movies when I was a teenager. I came across these nominations today, so I am going to add references later today. BTW, it's probably related to the latest changes in access to Russian segment of www. When I search for news or whatever in English I don't see anything, but when I search in Russian, I find plenty. So, I guess, this is the reason yo didn't come across all those references. Arthistorian1977 (talk) 06:53, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
Bus advertisingI finally managed to get the image. Not what I was hoping to click though. I got a brilliant snap back in April, but there was this man pouting in my frame so I couldn't use it. Yesterday, when I clicked, my camera suddenly stopped working, so I ended up using my phone. But, nevertheless, I think I got a good image for now. The bus, operator logo, ad are all clearly visible, so I think it does justice to the article now. :) --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 05:00, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Potential admin?Hi, I notice you're on Wikipedia:List of administrator hopefuls. Wikipedia would benefit from more admins. If you have been editing for more than 12 months (preferably 24+ months), and have been editing fairly consistently for the past 6 months (preferably 12+ months) with at least 100 edits a month (this tool will help) - or an explanation for any gaps, and haven't been blocked or topic banned in the past three years - or have a good explanation for a recent block or ban, don't have a recent history of edit warring or arguing with other editors, feel you can explain why you wish to be an admin, can demonstrate some understanding of Wikipedia's procedures and processes, or know where to go for guidance, and are confident enough to go through a RfA, please get in touch with me. We can talk about it some more, and if all looks OK, I'll nominate you or suggest what you can do to improve your chances. SilkTork ✔Tea time 10:34, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Garbage picking article renamingYou previously opposed a merger of the garbage picking article. Well, now someone wants to rename the article "dumpster diving" which I feel is not a good idea as it's not inclusive of the various situations discussed in the article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Garbage_picking#Requested_move_31_August_2015 He already did the renaming once without any consensus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Garbage_picking#Garbage_Picking_to_Dumpster_Diving_Move.2Frename_should_be_reverted. I thought you might not have seen the requested move and might wish to have your say one way or another. Thanks. Centerone (talk) 16:18, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
I just saw this "The result was no consensus. Not gonna lie even I'm a tad confused on the "fancruft" part but whatever, Consensus is to Keep" To me it looks contradictory: "no consensus" vs. "Consensus is to Keep" . I'm slightly befuddled now. Kraxler (talk) 15:26, 3 September 2015 (UTC) Could you doublecheck your close on this? Your boldfaced close says "no consensus", but your rationale says "consensus is to keep", which IMO is the only possible result given that no one supported the unelaborated nomination. Thanks, postdlf (talk) 15:40, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Emma LeonardI'd like to know why you suggested deletion for Emma Leonard's page. I actually can't understand your explanation in the discussion page. Could you tell me the exact reason in a few words? Is she not famous enough, maybe? Also, I want to add that, the Emma Leonard I wrote the page about, is not the one who acted in Home and Away, but the one who acted in Wicked Science. Yes, there are two Australian actresses whose name is Emma Leonard and users in IMDb made a mess, as they considered them as one person and mixed their roles.--Supremo (talk) 11:08, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Puja JoshiA tag has been placed on Puja Joshi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason: Some one who is trying to edit the article is posting the details of an article named Pooja Joshi. Check all the details after personal info in that article. Difference between Puja Joshi and Pooja Joshi is that Puja is a Gujarati television actress, while Pooja is Hindi television actress. Please mind the spelling of the name.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Consensus isn't a voting contest. Consensus is based on arguments presented. Not a single one of those who voted to keep article actually addressed the fact that article breaks rule on neologisms. Furthermore, that article was marked with neologism template several times in the past (and template was silently removed later on without proper discussion) by different editors, who had no chance to express their opinion in AfD discussion. You didn't also seems to take into account that there are grounds to believe that wikipedia is being used to promote this neologism and so there is going to be plenty of resistance, considering how politically charged it is. If you don't understand neologism rule (and it's quite important in a lot of editors eyes as it was proposed to be grounds for speedy deletion in the past), then let somebody else deal with AfD. TAFI talk
I'd like you to please review this AfD regarding the article Norman Milliken. During that AfD, the "keep" comments were made because the settlement called "Milliken" was assumed to have been named after Norman Milliken; a dubious claim made by the article's creator User:Unionville. Careful research--conducted after the second AfD had closed--shows that this claim is not true. I have outlined my reasons for this here. Nonetheless, it was that dubious claim which galvanized the "keep" supporters in the second AfD. In their eye, having a settlement named after you would therefore give you notability on Wikipedia. For example:
Knowing now that the town likely wasn't named after him, this would surely have swayed the votes. Furthermore, the article's creator, User:Unionville, clearly attempted to WP:VOTESTACK throughout the AfD with the following edits:
In light of these facts, I would appreciate that the AfD be reopened. Thank you for your consideration. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:59, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

About your revert on Ford MondeoHi Davey2010, Regarding your revert of my image. The image of the front view was better quality, unlike the other one which was really wedged in with the distracting line. I made an edit on my one that included editing out the shadows. Have a look at *File:2015 Ford Mondeo (MD) Ambiente station wagon (2015-11-14) 01.jpg and please tell me why this image was not good quality. I will not edit the image back unless you tell me why the other image was better. Also notably the rear view of the car was low quality and I intended to replace the image back. Well all the other views were not for a keep so as the nominator and discussion participant I think you should have let someone else close it. ww2censor (talk) 22:44, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
Bot automation at Wikipedia:Today's articles for improvementGreetings WikiProject TAFI members! Over the past two weeks, there has been extensive discussion on introducing bot automation to assist with maintenance of the Today's Articles for Improvement project. A bot has now been approved for trial and will carry out the weekly duties. The bots first run will occur around 00:00, 22 November 2015 (UTC) (midnight on Sunday). If you have been assisting any of the weekly maintenance tasks, please refrain from doing so this week. The bot needs to be tested and proven it can do the job, and it only gets one chance per week. The tasks will include:
Updating the accomplishments and archiving selections is still done manually, along with daily tasks such as adding approved entries to the articles for improvement page. These will become automated in the near future. We hope the bot proves to serve well, and by carrying out the routine housekeeping tasks we can boost the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the project. MusikBot thanks you for your service in helping with the weekly tasks in the past, and for your cooperation during this trial period :) Posted by: MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 19:48, 21 November 2015 (UTC) on behalf of WikiProject TAFI • for all project notifications This week's article for improvement (week 48, 2015)

B roadsHi Davey I do not think you should have closed a discussion which you had yourself started. Just withdrawing the nomination would have been the right thing to do. The discussion had not been going long and I do not see any clear consensus to keep all of the stubs, if any. Non-admins should only close where the outcome is clear and there has been adequate time for editors to find it. We now have a bunch of B road stubs tagged as having been kept at AfD when some of them should probably be deleted. Just my view. Have a good day:)Charles (talk) 09:48, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Data format at Bethany MotaHi there. I wanted to explain my recent revert at Bethany Mota. I guess it's kind of annoying to some editors, but I prefer using ISO 8601 date format. It's faster for me to type, it avoids the whole American/European date format wars, and it takes up less space in citations. It's a bit frustrating to see people come in with scripts and change date format in articles with no discussion on the talk page. The worst part is that they always cite MOS:DATEFORMAT, which specifically allows ISO 8601 dates. On the same guideline, a little bit after that paragraph, it says in WP:DATERET not to change date formats without discussion. I admit it's silly to argue over the date format used in citations, but it's become a pet peeve of mine to have intentionally chosen formatting changed without discussion. Merging at AfDsHeyo Dave, how are you? I remember reading somewhere that according to *some shortcut* AfDs can be initiated with the rationale of merging. Does my memory serve me right or did I confuse one thing with the other. I saw an AfD today where the participants were demanding a "procedural close" cause the nominator's arguments were for a merger. I remember someone pointing to the policy where something like that was written maybe and I am unable to find it. Let me know if that is true or if I am just looking stupid right now.
