They were blocked for threatening legal action and socking, so OTRS or not, without having your own independent reason to be nominating this I don't think this is appropriate. A cookie for you!
Seeking helpHi Darren, This afternoon you reacted to my request for help. I replied on my Talk-page, but probably I didn't use the right method, so I copy my reply here:Misterioustraveller (talk) 20:14, 15 July 2020 (UTC) Thank you, Darren for your response. The problem is the following: I am a new (would-be) contributor. I have made, since yesterday, a lot of contributions and a few corrections to the 'Live at the Fillmore'-page. You could have a look at 'View History' to see what I did. I acknowledge that it's slow going and I have had to make - painstakingly - a lot of corrections to my work, but, hey, I'm learning, isn'it ? Now, about 2 hours ago I saw that allmost all my work has been deleted. I have no idea why. I have noticed that there's was an intervention of an automated bot, which deleted one citation. I have no problem with that, but searching in the guidelines, as suggested by the bot, I did not find what I did wrong and why my citation was not acceptable. Maybe the action of the bot and the deletion of most of my work are not connected. So my 2 question are: What caused my work to be deleted ? How can I avoid that ? Thank you, Paul, a.k.a.'MisteriousTraveller', Belgium.Misterioustraveller (talk) 17:30, 15 July 2020 (UTC) Misterioustraveller Misterioustraveller (talk) 20:14, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Good faithHello Darren... I got the message you left on my page earlier and I'm just replying to let you know that I was absolutely acting in good faith.... I verified that the user Kevinmce was in fact attacking me and intentionally targeting my contributions page deleting one after another even though he knew that my contributions were made in good faith and that they were true statements and even the ones he may not have known were true statements he certainly could have looked up if he was questioning the validity of some edit or statistic. Believe me I verified that he went out of his way to attack me because he wanted revenge for an incident that wasn't even a big deal on the Tour de France history page and it's kind of upsetting to find editors with that type of childish vindictive mindset but apparently they are out there. I certainly may have disagreed with other editors but I would never and have never gone out of my way to attack someone like kevinmce did Raleigh80Z90Faema69 (talk) 20:18, 15 July 2020 (UTC) Hello Darren... Regarding this I did assume good faith with the edits that initially escalated this situation and did not attempt to undo the edit a 2nd time... I also considered it good faith on another page from the 1961 Tour de France and went to the talk page to discuss the edit but was never notified of a reply that there was any further discussion on that talk page... I considered malice when for the first time in 11 days I was looking at "my contributions" one by one and nearly every single recent one had been targeted and deleted. Ok you're saying that even if I think it was malicious or intentionally against good faith.... I should still make the assumption of 'Good Faith' Raleigh80Z90Faema69 (talk) 22:06, 15 July 2020 (UTC) Note: I have responded to the above user on their talk page. Darren-M talk 21:20, 16 July 2020 (UTC) replyThank you, Darren. I'm totally (except for 1 mistake correction I made in 2016 to the Dhaulagiri-page, which is about a 8.000 m high mountain in Nepal) new to editing on WP. It looks incredible complicated to make a sensible contribution to WP, but you learn fast while on the job also.Misterioustraveller (talk) 08:10, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
A kitten for you! Thanks for answering my question! Sam1078956 (talk) 15:52, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
