--The way it was written, lack of professional tone, the fact there aren't any real references. So either it's "original research" (which is also not allowed), you copy/pasted it from any number of non-listed sources or you tried to put things in your own words but failed to remove personal tone and views. And if you knew it was written poorly by you then you should have the desire and obligation to fix it. I was just pointing out that it might have been. If you are such a brilliant, opinionated and architecturally knowledgable detective and beleive it to be poorly written, I suggest you research and re-write it, rather than insult those who have already worked on it. When it was written, it met all standards. You have not one scrap of evidence for suggesting it was copyvio - not one single scrap. You want it fixed - then fix it or at least learn to know what you are talking about. So think on that before running around pages and plastering them with templates. Neither is defending the honesty one's name from such unfounded allegations a childlike action. Primary vs. secondary sources

Thank you for your efforts to improve the article on Archicebus. I realize that the template {{Primary source}} points out that using only primary sources can imply original research (WP:OR). However, I feel that your assertion that the article *requires* news sources is misguided. The idea behind WP:OR is that you don't want someone writing something up in a primary source in order to push their original research/idea. The case at hand is not the same as someone writing a history book with their take on events. These are scientifically observed details, written up by a team of paleoanthropologists and published in a high prestigious peer-reviewed journal. Moreover, these secondary sources are less reliable than the primary sources. Science writers for the press are notoriously deficient in their ability to research, grasp, and explain advanced scientific material. Almost every time I read a piece about primates on either the BBC, CNN, etc., I usually have to write in and complain about the mistakes... which usually results in corrections. In this case—miraculously—there were relatively few errors in the articles I had read. (I have not read the news stories in all of your sources yet.) I think the press may have finally learned to do a bit more homework after the Darwinius debacle from a few years ago. Talk about a case where your reliance on secondary sources would have fallen flat on its face...

Regardless, these secondary sources do not trump the primary source. In fact, the citations you added were superfluous, particularly in the lead since the lead only summarizes the body and citations are only needed there when quoting contentious material (WP:LEAD). I do plan to use more news sources when I get around to revamping the article further, but they are only needed for the analogies they make and the claims the researchers made during interviews that may not have been in the original paper. Otherwise I would never direct someone to a science news article if I wanted them to "get the facts". If you want secondary sources for this kind of academic material, you have to wait 5–10 years for a new textbook. I also consider future journal articles that make reference to the original to be secondary sources, assuming they simply reaffirm what the original claims. – Maky « talk » 04:49, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your view on the matter. The fact is, there is no consensus on when or how to use the PS template and my philosophy as an editor is to use as many non-primary sources as I can so long as the facts I'm citing, and the sources, fall in line with the science itself. There is nothing wrong or odd about having news sources in any article or in the lead, especially when information in the lead isn't necessarily listed elsewhere in the article. This subject is not obscure or highly technical and so the need to wait (a week, or year or decade) for additional academic material is pointless. There is a wide range of citing protocols, from citing every statement and fact to citing only primary details, quotes or contentious materials. The sources I added did not distract from the article and were, in my judgement, justified. In the end, you don't control the article. Coinmanj (talk) 03:50, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, I do not control the article. However, I may take it to FAC someday, and for that reason, I try to address the points that will be brought up there beforehand. BTW, I really didn't mean to come off as a jerk, the word "superfluous" just ticked me off a bit because I do try only make necessary and quality edits. I apologize. I did not mean "superfluous" in a negative way. *To me*, citations in the lead are mostly superfluous. Unfortunately, the lack of standards creates situations where editors cannot resolve conflicts of opinion on such issues. It ultimately becomes either an edit war, or the last editor of the article wins by default. I would rather see standards so we don't have to fight over such issues. Hey Coinmanj

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Wiki policy is not that anyone with a particular interest or passion should avoid editing (or authoring) articles related to their interests. If the information I have provided is POV, prove it. For the last time, I did not "invent" the cult of personality or its title, it is a well known and thoroughly established fact which has been the subject of a great deal of research, published works, journalism etc. I have no opposition to any additions which may come form a different side/opposing views, if you find any sources that say no cult exists please add them. The only real opposition to any "cult" I have come across has been form the DPRK government itself which says that there is no cult but genuine hero worship (a view mentioned more than once in the article). I am not an authority on anything, I am learned, but not an authority. If you have any evidence then please add it to the article. I am not obliged to answer any question(s) on my talk page. You are a single editor, who (as far as I know) has not made any large contributions to this site, has not been here very long, and generally fails to understand a number of policy points. I will work with you on the article on the article's talk page, if you refuse or continually obstruct (as you have with the "costs" section) I will continue to ask for help from the Wikipedia Community (something encouraged by policy) in resolving the disputes (as has been suggested by other users - which you seem not to be able to understand). I have been as civil with you as I can be and I wish to spend as little time replying to your nonsense (your multiple accusations of my misconduct on the article talk page) as possible. Because I don't have to. I'm a human being, and most humans are concerned about the welfare of other humans. It's kind of basic and no level headed person could misconstrue an concern over human rights with being an activist against an entire country. I came across the song randomly and saw that it was an orphaned article, so I went to the KFA page to add it so I could remove to orphan tag. But, I really see no reason to keep the song article - it's just an anthem for a relatively small organization. This left the engineers hands free. This would have made it possible for him to pull his Iphone 5 (a fact confirmed by the Exif data) out of his butt as stated, and use the voice command ability of the Iphone to just talk to it to log in and post the message. This explains why he sent a black photo, he could not see what he was sending, he just knew he snapped a photo and sent whatever got taken.

The coordinates:When the coordinates are added to the fact that the photo's exif data does not match the Google coordinates or any other coordinates for Diego Garcia that are posted online, but is still within the boundaries of Diego Garcia, it proves that no one just pulled those coordinates off the web. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
