etiquette

You asked where it says not to change portions of articles under RFC review during an active RFC... I don't have time to dig around WP:RFC, however it's just kinda common sense. If an editor responds to the RFC, and makes comments on version X, and there have been 4 changes since version X, the next editor to respond isn't going to understand other editors' comments and the development of consensus is severely hindered. Beyond that, it's just general wiki etiquette. Not everything has to be spelled out in a policy to be a norm or expected behavior. Likewise, you shouldn't blank your talk page -- I'm pretty sure this is covered in WP:ARCHIVE, but if it's not then just ask around, it's a pretty standard no-no. /Blaxthos 17:44, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You should consider actually reading policies before you talk about wikipedia etiquette. First of all, WP:ARCHIVE explicitly states that you "A user may simply delete any comments they have read, whether they have acted on them or not."
Second, nothing in WP:RFC says you can't make changes about the subject of the RFC, or even remotely suggests that you can't. Given your apparent failure to even read policies before accusing people of breaking etiquette, you'll forgive me if I don't accept your version of what "norm or expected behavior" is. I'm just trying to help you not look so unclued... if you think you have it all right, then by all means roll with it. Also, please check the proper way to post external links. You might want to make a few corrections. Not that I'm sure you don't already know everything, right?  ;-) /Blaxthos 03:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, wow, thanks for helping me not look unclued...apparently by making clear how you can't even be bothered to read and understand policies. And thanks for pointing out my copy-and-paste error. What would I do without you? Cogswobbletalk 17:06, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MFD / thanks

Disagreements aside, I appreciate and respect the fact that you have voted to keep my essay, even if you don't agree with it. The current example is a very rough draft and doesn't really adequately reflect what I'm trying to do. The MFD was premature, and forced examination LONG before it was ready for general inspection/review. Again, I thank you for acknowledging such and setting past differences aside. Bravo! /Blaxthos 18:26, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Whether or not I disagree with your points, it first of all seems odd that someone wants to delete a work-in-progress in a userspace. I could understand if it was libel, or complete nonsense or something, but neither case applies here. Second, WP:ESSAY and the essay template make it clear that essays are simply the opinions of the authors, so as long as they're well written, relevant to wikipedia, and written in good faith, I don't know of any reason why they should be deleted. Fox News Poll

I know we've been through the ringer again and again on this topic, but as I have stated previously, I do find you reasonable (I really do), and would like your opinion lodged on the current poll for the FAQ (even though I know it). My hope is to have some objective showing of a consensus on its inclusion (or exclusion). Ramsquire (throw me a line) 21:39, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:PS again

Please check out this MFD. Your opinion is welcome and requested since you particiated in the original MFD. /Blaxthos 22:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

College Football Project request

Hello! You are listed as an active member of the College Football Project! We have a large number of unreferenced biographies of living persons, but it works out to be just two or three articles per active participant. I've divided up the articles that need help and put them in a table on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football/Unreferenced BLPs. Please assist the project by researching and sourcing the articles that have been "assigned" (so to speak) to you.--Paul McDonald (talk) 02:44, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
