Hmmm, there really isn't a speedy tag that fits. It's not "patent nonsense" and although it doesn't really say much it's not short enough for "no context". I'm not entirely sure what it is. You could try proposed deletion, and if that tag is removed then you would go to WP:AfD. Hope this helps. ...discospinstertalk03:09, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your kind words. Nice article, I'll keep my notes concise:
Is the lead long enough? I don't know earthquake articles at all, but it looks a but short and un-detailed. But correct me if I am wrong.
Tectonics: 1 fact is disputed
Damage and injuries: paragraphs 2 and 3 very much use ref 14 consecutively (Irving), you may limit yourself to sourcing the paragraph just once or twice
Response: the last sentence is worded in a complicated way IMHO
You voted in this AFD that I started. It is only fair to mention that there has been a substantial change to the article since I nominated it for deletion, in that it now has a release date and a title. You may or may not wish to rethink your vote. Kww (talk) 14:22, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay. I didn't question its notability, I was just pointing out the fact that most of the article's content when I viewed it was a copy of some YouTube page. Cliff smithtalk02:47, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry. My bad. The article was created by someone either lazy or unversed in Wiki or both. How about we tag it for cleanup rather than deletion? I may even be able to take a crack at it myself over the next day or two, as there is plenty out there. It won't be perfect.... but should then be enough upon which other may continue to improve. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.09:49, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi, you've mentioned on a few future-album AfD's that 'per WP:MUSIC, title, track list and release date must all be confirmed by artist or label before it can have its own article'. I'm not actually seeing any such requirement on WP:MUSIC, merely a suggestion that albums with limited information should be left in the artist's article until there is enough verifiable information. Am I missing something here? Certainly you could make the argument that title, track list and release date are a good measure of 'enough information being available', but it doesn't seem that WP:MUSIC specifically asks for that, it's just the specific point when it's definitely not a CRYSTAL violation. ~ mazcat | c22:32, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, since it says that it's not a WP:CRYSTAL violation once those have been confirmed, I understood it to mean that it is a violation if those aren't confirmed. Cliff smithtalk22:37, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
It probably can be. I'm not saying you're wrong in any way, I was just after your thoughts as it seems I was interpreting it differently. Having that as a requirement seems to slightly contradict the statements earlier in the paragraph about "properly and reliably referenced information about the album's recording process, such as known guest musicians, may be sufficient to justify an independent article". Anyway, I don't think it matters anyway because 90% of the future albums that appear at AfD are indeed completely unsalvageable, hehehe. Cheers ~ mazcat | c22:41, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Why not? Your contributions history shows you can be trusted with it, and it would make vandalism reversion a little easier. Some of the high-powered vandalism-reversion tools (e.g. WP:HUGGLE) require it, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to. Philip Trueman (talk) 19:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Featured music article usually have up to four audio samples depending on the length of the artist's career. Britney could probably warrant three or four, but the problem is finding a critical analysis of the song that warrants fair use. Gimmie More is a great example, the article for the song even has the original sheet music. All audio samples need to have a critical analysis/commentary on the arrangement/production/vocals in the caption for it to justify fair use. I'd have to look through periodicals and reviews to see which of her songs besides baby/gimmie are an absolute must for the bio. The Bookkeeper(of the Occult)20:24, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Marnie Weber
The article I wrote for Ms. Weber is being considered for deletion. She is absolutely an artist of note and I have footnoted nearly all the information about her. I appeal to you to please reconsider the status of her article. I will continue to work on it and improve the information that is there, but there should be no question of her notability. Thank you.64.239.171.246 (talk) 19:13, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I noticed that you voted in the nomination for deletion of the article Inflammatory diseases of unknown etiology. As I don't know you or your motives for voting as you did, and not to insult you or your intelligence, I felt that a misunderstanding occurred during the vote, causing many editors to vote for deletion based on the merits of a strawman argument. Please revisit the AfD (at the embedded link above) to gain a clearer understanding of my issue with this vote and either uphold or revise your vote -- I am not writing to you to demand that you retract -- rather, I feel that some votes may have been swayed by what may no longer apply to the article, and because most of those who voted merely reiterated the nominator's premise, perhaps a review will produce a fairer outcome. Thank you. DRosenbach(Talk | Contribs)20:11, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I don't see the references being pushed over to the side, but I'm using a resolution of 1024x768 so I can't see it but you can. But I think the image stack kind of takes up extra space. --Splat5572 (talk) 17:10, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh. I'm on 1280x800 and it's making practically a third column of blank space, hah. Anyway, do you think we need two images from the same place? We could move the bottom one to South Coast Plaza. Cliff smithtalk17:13, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
I tried moving the images around. Can you look at the article again? You can move the images around and I can check to see if it looks all right from my resolution. :) --Splat5572 (talk) 17:17, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Ahhh... Understood. Every day I myself learn something new here on Wiki and try to apply it. Even now at the top of your page I found the link to WP:IAR, and will be using in just a second in an AfD where a respected editor keeps quoting "guideline" as I quote "policy" back at him. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.00:27, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
I see you removed Greg DePaul in [10], I guess because he wasn't mentioned in the references. He has posted to Wikipedia:Help desk#an error. A web search shows that published sources vary and I'm not a film editor and unsure who should be mentioned for what in the article. PrimeHunter (talk) 12:06, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's the only reason why. Just found a source, so I'll go take care of that right now. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Cliff smithtalk01:39, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi there, I just looked over the article. Nice job, and I have following suggestions:
"Characters": here is the greatest hole IMHO. Just listing characters in in-universe style is a bit weak, it is better to bring real-life impact and/or interviews with the actors or the producers. Read WP:WAF for more info on this.
"Crew": last 1.5 paragraphs are unsourced. Either source or omit (may be interpreted as OR by a strict reviewer)
What is your opinion? Hoax? Puppets? I can find nothing anywhere (except Wiki) that says anything about this "organization" or its "awards". If it truely exists, it is completely unsourced. If it is a hoax, there are dozens of articles on Wiki that will have to be fixed. Is there an tool that will remove such wikilinks, or will it be a one-by-one search and remove? What do you advise? Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.20:10, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
My problem too, as the article and all its childen were all created by a WP:SPA, as additions by others all appear to be maintenance or cleanup. With claims of being a "dedicated" group of industry professions, and having "made awards" as far back as 1990, you'd think there'd be something out there. It smells. Very. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.22:02, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
It seems every time I check, some other WP:RS has included the informations as created on Wiki, and still no proof that PAMP ever exists other than its article on Wiki. Just sent word to one and now alert them all.... up to and including Giro. What a mess. Yikes. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.00:56, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey, nice work on the page. I had been meaning to improve the page for a while (I thought it was a great film) but never got around to doing it. Anyways, is there anything you need help with? I'll try to add something here and there. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion04:29, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks :] I liked the movie too. Um, well, if there are any interviews with the cast or crew, those might be useful if we want to add to Production or Cast. Especially cast, I think, since right now it doesn't go into how Mos Def and Seth Green's roles were like the comic relief. I think a couple of the critic reviews might've mentioned that, but interviews would be good too. I'm in UTC-8, and I won't be on for a few hours since I'm a little busy today, so I'm hurried in writing this, but thanks again and I look forward to working on this more. Yours, Cliff smithtalk17:24, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
The Wahlberg interview is good. Didn't really have high hopes for finding anything about the comic relief, so I'm not too surprised that we didn't find much (I looked for some sources too). Cliff smithtalk02:02, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

I was preparing a lengthy and well-sourced comment as to why the article should be merged to Tim Burton for a couple weeks and then brought back.... then I checked Google News to fing that filming had begun. I should have gone there first. I wonder how Burton's going to handle "3-D", as most such have bombed. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.18:20, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
As it so happens, I was planning on doing the same thing before we got pp confirmation. Yeah, 3-D, that should be interesting. Pixar's going to release Toy Story 3 in 3-D. Cliff smithtalk19:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the notification. First off, I'm sorry that I didn't really help. I know I promised to, it's just that I was doing other stuff, so again, sorry. Anyways, about the GAC, I think it's almost ready. Recently Doomsday (film) was passed as a GA, so try modelling it after that. The lead size needs to be increased, two paragraphs in total would be good. Plot section is good. The production section is also good. Cast section seems incomplete. Maybe have a list before the prose, e.g.:
Gray had been interested in working with Wahlberg since seeing his performance in Boogie Nights (1997). After reading the script for The Italian Job, Gray contacted Wahlberg, who "fell in love with it" after reading it hims....
See what I mean? Maybe having a list of the cast would be more clear. And the rest of the article is good. If you feel that my comments are stupid, or if you disagree, please tell me so. Anyways, good luck on the GAC! Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion06:39, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, it's not a problem in the least. Anyways, I'm working on expanding the lead, and as far as the cast section goes, I'm uncertain. Because the characters and what they do are included in the plot, it seems, to me, at least, that having a list of the same things would be a little redundant. But I don't think I'd be opposed to having one. I really appreciate your comments and advice. Cliff smithtalk18:54, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't realise you replied here. Anyways, I see your point with the cast section; I guess you should just wait and see what the GA reviewer says. Speaking of GA reviewer, I think it's time to nominate the article. ;) Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion06:37, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Twilight
Yes, it is a book series which I absolutely abhor. My POV aside, there's been a mix of positive and negative IP edits lately, and vandalism has not really been that great. So I don't think that semi would be justified at the moment. When it does start getting bad as the release date approaches, then report to WP:RPP and it should be taken care of promptly. I have watchlisted it just in case too. Cheers, bibliomaniac1522:47, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi. You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bo Sanchez as "Nominator withdrawn". I am the nominator and I didn't write anywhere I am withdrawing. The article was improved and I was thinking to withdraw, but I was planning to give the AfD one more day. Anyway, I didn't withdraw. I always need some time to check the additions made and today was a busy day for me. Thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 00:13, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Do you think you can copy-edit Maggie Gyllenhaal's article? Reason I ask, I'm trying to aim the article to FA status, and I was told that before nominating the article I should contact someone to copy-edit the article and I was hoping that someone could be you. :) -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)18:03, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, your a good editor and highly respected by others, I figured asking you might be the real deal. :) Thank you for taking the time to do this "little" favor, I truly appreciate it. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)21:14, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
They don't have a parenthesis big enough to accurately depict my face right now. Hahah. Acknowledgement like that is gratifying to an ineffable degree. Anyway, (enough of my random "big word" jag) I'll be tweaking little things here and there today, probably tomorrow as well. Copyediting isn't my strongest skill, so don't be surprised if there are a couple things I might miss that might come up in the FAC, and if you want to be super confident in the quality of the prose, drop a line at WP:GOCE. Thanks again. Cliff smithtalk21:18, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Haha, nice. :) Its alright, whatever needs tweaking, seems suitable for the article. I'll ask around for a pair of eyes to see what you do turns out. Yeah, I left a request at GOCE for another article, but haven't heard anything at the moment. I have my faith in you. :P -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)21:33, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
I found this AfD and became intrigued. the more i dug, the more I realized that this was a unique and notable project... even if it is never released... but I think it will be. The involvement of NASA and JPL in an animated/educational/scifi/adventure, with the involvements of a great many notable atars, make this one quite interesting. So I spent a few hours and turned this stub into this fully fleshed-out article. I would love your input towards additional improvements. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.19:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Looks like some good work here. My suggestions/comments are: use the standard citation templates when referencing, and don't link to someone's IMDb page in the prose if they haven't got a Wiki article. There'll probably be more sources to use in the coming months, so it may appear lacking or underdeveloped to some, but I think that the article at least deserves a chance. Again, good job. Cheers, Cliff smithtalk20:26, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough. I will remove the inline IMDB links, and leave them red-linked so as to attract a possible future article (specially for Chris Pine, the New James Kirk) and will convert my cites to standar web template. this one was a labor of found love. Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.21:03, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
OKay... I think I got them all. And I managed to catch a few typos while I was at it. I can see now that standard cite format makes it easier to check an article's cites individually. Neat. And whew! Schmidt,MICHAEL Q.22:08, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
