User talk:Chrisjnelson/Archive 23Team's SchedulesHey there. Could you help me with this this schedule? I cant get it to look like this one ~Richmond96 t • c 03:14, 2 December 2008 (UTC) Infobox yearsSince when to we add a link to the year(s) a player was with a team? Especially when he was with multiple teams in the same season (see you last edit to Marc Magro)? Crash Underride 17:26, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
MLB 2K9Your source for MLB 2K9 being released in March is NOT RELIABLE, NOR CONFIRMED. 2K sports HAS NOT said when it will be released rather than "early 2009". This source is estimating March purely on the basis of past releases. This is unreliable because it is not based on any facts and due to problems with production the game could easily (as has in the past) be pushed back or even pushed forward into feb. Jwjkp (talk) 18:31, 6 December 2008 (UTC) I did verify, with 2Ksports site. No release date other than early 2009 has been announced. Any other claim is PURE speculation. Truce!During my own lockout, I've thinking of a way we could settle this once and for all. As you know, Pats1 is the exclusive editor of the New England Patriots articles, while Doctorindy is pretty much the head captain of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers articles. How about you become the exclusive person who types the game summaries for your Miami Dolphins. I'll just stay away from those articles. -PLEASE accept this truce, Alakazam Parmele, Aromashodu etc.Where did you see these guys were signed to active rosters and where did you see that guys such as Alex Lewis were placed on IR?--Iamawesome800 00:24, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Injury settlementsWell, I guess it depends on the case. If a player is injured and a team releases him, then they are prone to a grievance filing by the NFLPA. Therefore teams will put players on IR when they really would like to just release him (Jason Webster is a good example). At some point, the team and the player will reach an injury settlement, which in some cases will pay the player what he would have made if he had stayed on IR until his injury was healed, or other times, they will set the player free once he is healthy; whether the latter is technically considered an injury settlement, I am not sure. Keep in mind there are also split contracts, where a player will only earn part of his salary if he goes on IR. Pats1 T/C 20:47, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Replyin'!Just so I don't get blocked again from editing. I read the comments that both U and User:Pats1 left. Alright, the football positions abbreviations will be gone. From now on, it'll be "quarterback", "running back", "tight end", etc. Also, don't be hatin' on me man. I know that my writing OFFENDS you and everything, but at least THIS time, I looked at my comments page. If you could tell our Patriot fan that I read his comments along with yours, then I'll know that he understand. From the looks of your comments on that category's discussion page, you use to. Has something changed? I still feel it is just as ludicrious as a Category:Caucasian sportspeople. unhelpful editPlease don't restore ambiguous info, as you did at Jason Pociask. If you know the pronunciation, please provide it. kwami (talk) 07:58, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Template:CollegePrimaryColorCould you add TCU's colors (hex codes 660099 and FFFFFF) to Template:CollegePrimaryColor and Template:CollegeSecondaryColor, respectively? I tried to do this myself but it didn't turn out right. I would like to add the infobox you created to the Jerry Hughes article. Thanks in advance. BlueAg09 (Talk) 05:22, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Zach ThomasWhat would you think of using a cropped version of this as the main image for the Zach Thomas article? →Wordbuilder (talk) 16:06, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Dolphins at ChiefsI think you might enjoy some of these. I took them today and damn near froze my ass off. I have more, but the sun really ruined most of them. Good luck in the playoffs if they make it, we're fortunate here in KC to get a new GM soon and hopefully we'll have a turnaround like the Phins soon. conman33 (. . .talk) 23:50, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Notability of Javier Arenas (American football)A tag has been placed on Javier Arenas (American football) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article. If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Iamawesome800 20:48, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Albert Johnson IIIHi Chris, hope you're enjoying a nice Christmas. I wish that you would put in an explanation in the move summary. What was your thinking in http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Albert_Johnson_(gridiron_football)&diff=260109409&oldid=236540201 ? I see that there is an Albert Johnson soccer player and that Albert Johnson III is notable for both CFL and NFL so gridiron makes some sense. He was always referred to as Albert Johnson III though in Canada. Was that different when he played in the States? Thanks, DoubleBlue (talk) 06:42, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
It seems you've sufficiently showed the III to be common name.►Chris NelsonHolla! 19:32, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
More colorsCan you add Arizona Wildcats colors to the college infobox--Yankees10 18:53, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
What did I say?And they did two games better! Congrats...but what's this with Parcells skipping town already? Pats1 T/C 02:10, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Playoff Finish and seeding, 2008 Dolphins SeasonThe "Playoff Finish" heading in the infobox indicates how far the team finished in the playoffs. Playoff Seeding is NOT an indicator of a team's Playoff Finish. Look at the other 2008 NFL playoff teams pages and you can see that seeding position is NOT present in the "Playoff Finish" area. Richiekim (talk) 19:37, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
ReplyYeah I can definetely try and do all of those suggestions, and if I forget one just let me know. Thanks.--Iamawesome800 20:24, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
I did some other stuff, you can see my full edit and all the changes I made in this diff.►Chris NelsonHolla! 21:15, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
CongratsHey man, congrats on the Dolphins winning the AFC East. Only thing better is the fact that they kept the Patriots out. Must've been tough with what happened last season. Believe me, as a Los Angeles Kings season-ticket holder, I know what it's like to be a fan of a team that... well, utterly sucks. I'm pulling for the Giants to win the Super Bowl, but good luck in the playoffs. Ksy92003 (talk) 22:30, 29 December 2008 (UTC) ReminderThis is from a while back, When removing players from roster, as you did here, remember to update the individual players articles... I just now found Cory Lekkerkerker page and updated that he's a free agent, but he got cut back in august... Rosterguy (talk) 02:59, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
