Lowercase sigmabot IIIStrange though it may seem, I'm making this question: how can I put lowercase sigmabot III to work on my talk page? Precisely for the purpose of automatically archiving inactive threads. Thank you!Sam10rc (talk) 09:34, 2 December 2017 (UTC)

MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC) AFC BournemouthHi ChocolateRabbit! It appears we disagree how AFC Bournemouth should be listed. There was a discussion on this on this when they were promoted to The Premier League and I thought a consensus was agreed to show their full name, as is the case with AFC Wimbledon and other clubs with an AFC prefix. Thoughts? Cardboard Captain (talk) 18:41, 5 December 2017 (UTC) Cardboard Captain (talk) 18:41, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
Deletion rationaleI urge you to write a more thoughtful rationale here. If I did not provide such a rationale in a timely manner, the AFD could have been speedily closed.TheGracefulSlick (talk) 06:35, 12 December 2017 (UTC) 2017 New York City attempted bombing~ your argument is nonconstructive and unclearThis is quite a deal, what you are attempting to do to the 2017 New York City attempted bombing page. Please do not try to request the deletion of a page without sufficient rationale, much less start a disturbance to the Wikipedia community. This attack on Manhattan is a crucial event—why would they notify the President, call the mayor and the governor of New York if it was not a matter of great magnitude? Please let me know if you need further clarification. DoctorSpeed (talk) 18:40, 13 December 2017 (UTC) I recommend that you withdraw the AfD nomination. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 01:27, 14 December 2017 (UTC) ReplyNo idea. Ask an admin. Faye WindassJust to let you know, across all soap pages, we use the world also when a character has had different surnames through things like marriage and adoption instead of ne, nee and previously because of various reasons including: Grangehilllover (talk) 19:47, 14 December 2017 (UTC) WordingI believe it has already been explained to you that "English national team" is preferred to "England national team", as the former is grammatically correct. Why do you persist in reverting to the latter? Mattythewhite (talk) 19:25, 15 December 2017 (UTC) Second attempt...Hi, I see you archived my message, without replying, before restoring wording to articles that you've already been made aware is incorrect. It's becoming increasingly hard to assume good faith. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:15, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
Pending changes reviewer grantedHello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages. Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Have a Merry Christmas --ChocolateRabbit 22:50, 21 December 2017 (UTC) December 2017 Melbourne car attack AfDHello, I closed this AfD as you did not provide any rationale to justify re-opening the discussion, especially so soon after the other AfD was closed. Please stop re-adding the template for this discussion to the article. If you continue with this disruptive behaviour, you'll be blocked from editing. Merry Christmas by the way! Changing national variety of EnglishIn a recent edit to the page Light-emitting diode, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles. For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to India, use Indian English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used. In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. —Odysseus1479 23:49, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
January 2018Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Shutout.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. A couple of days ago, an editor advised you not to make inappropriate changes of national variety of English. Your reply, here, appeared to indicate your understanding of that advice. Please also consider following that advice, and stop making disruptive changes to spelling. JosepolivaresThis user has just been lifted from the one month block and it turns out that user has been un-piping fc again. Does this user understand the difference between piping and not piping team names... I've noticed you reverted once on Luis Suarez, Iggy (talk) 15:48, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
Question about commas for Paul Malong Awan and James Ajonga MawutGreetings, Chocolate Rabbit! I see you've restored the out-of-place commas I removed in articles for Paul Malong Awan and James Ajonga Mawut. Could you explain your reasoning to me? In the Awan article, the comma is redundant because it comes after a phrase already offset by parentheses. In the Mawut article, it comes right after a proper name and right before the first verb of the sentence, which seems to be an awkward and ungrammatical place for a comma. Best wishes, Hills of (talk) 16:05, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
JosepolivaresHello ChocolateRabbit, Do you think the IP address 177.221.167.124 might have been used by Josepolivares (during the 1 month block period) - the reason being is that some of the edits consists of undoing two of our revisions, unpiping the FC on FC Barcelona and other Spanish clubs which have gone unnoticed until today when I have just fixed them, on Gerard Deulofeu, Ousmane Dembélé and your page Samuel Umtiti. Also I have noticed on User talk:Quite A Character that the messages posted are in some other language other than English ... Iggy (Swan) 16:28, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
January 2018Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Kostas Stafylidis. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page. If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Edit warring with IPs is still edit warring. TonyBallioni (talk) 15:05, 21 January 2018 (UTC) FollowupYou archived before I could post a followup message: I see you've been blocked for edit warring in the past and that you have had rollback removed for these reasons. If I had seen that at first, I would have used the stronger language template. It is not okay to edit war, even if you don't hit 3RR. 3RR is a bright line, not a right. Additionally, going to RFPP to have a page protected during a minor content dispute and then shopping for a new admin to block the person you disagree with at AIV does not really paint the picture of being collaborative with other users. Future conduct like this will result in you being blocked. TonyBallioni (talk) 15:15, 21 January 2018 (UTC) |
