User talk:CatTheMeowHello, CatTheMeow, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.
Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block. Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
Use the main sandbox or create your own personal sandbox to experiment. How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below. How do I create citations?

A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) Mes belgaumHello It's an talk that I have started because of your recent edit on mes belgaum related to the photo which you have removed siting it as a screenshot. First and foremost be aware of Wikipedia guidelines and rules to do so and be ready to face the consequences of it. It's is not a screenshot taken by any one but it's is a Wikimedia commons picture which has licence from Wikipedia ( hope you know how to chek the licence) the next imp part is that it had a link attached to it which you can see is of a recognised newspaper Deccan Herald and it gives people authentic support for the photo even by providing it in its blog. So before you do any edits related to person interes please stop it and make some useful edit . I am reporting it and if you continue to edit Mes Belagaum Wikimedia me suspended your account. October 2022Hello, I'm Mako001. I noticed that in this edit to Karnataka, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mako001 (C) (T) 🇺🇦 12:30, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
Removal of contentHello. I noticed you removed content from Pulakeshin II without providing a proper edit summary. please provide reasoning why you made your edit after doing so. Thank you 2600:8806:403:5100:1589:B38B:5428:36C3 (talk) 01:29, 2 November 2022 (UTC) Hi CatTheMeow. You new article Battle of Narmada is missing most of its references. You've used short form refs ({{sfn}} or Harv templates) extensively, but haven't supplied the required full cites in the Bibliography section. Short form refs are not meant as free text, but must link correct with a cite elsewhere in the article ({{cite book}}/{{cite web}}/{{cite journal}} for instance). You can read about how to create full cites here WP:REFB. Without these the supplied references are not valid, and will need to be removed and replaced with {{citations needed}} tags. Just ask if you have any questions. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 13:05, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Battle of Madhura
A tag has been placed on Battle of Madhura requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://archive.org/stream/in.ernet.dli.2015.55644/2015.55644.South-India-Under-The-Vijayanagar-Empire--Vol-1_djvu.txt, https://archive.org/stream/aravidudynastyof035336mbp/aravidudynastyof035336mbp_djvu.txt&q=xxx+padres+de+la+india&sa=X&ei=itwZUKf9HMfChAfqpYGQDg&ved=0CBcQFjAB, and https://archive.org/stream/in.ernet.dli.2015.77307/2015.77307.The-Aravidu-Dynasty-Of-Vijayanagar_djvu.txt. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Edit summariesPlease make sure that your edit summaries accurately reflect what your edits do; for example, don't give "Fixed typo" for an edit which removes substantial amount of text, and does not correct any typo. JBW (talk) 17:35, 19 November 2022 (UTC) Perhaps I should also have said that giving no edit summary at all is not much better. Please do give edit summaries which do accurately reflect what your edits do, rather than giving either none or misleading ones. Stop disruptive editingIf you continue to remove sourced page content or other materials without adequate explanation, you may be blocked from editing. Your edit on Carnatic music is clearly a disruptive edit. Please refrain from such actions in the future. Reo kwon (talk) 12:58, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
Your edits to Eastern Chalukyas have entered the definition of edit warring. You need to discuss the situation at the article's talk page and change the article only after consensus is reached. I looked back through the article's history, and you're the editor initiating the change, so if there's a burden to get consensus, it definitely falls with you. I don't want to have to take administrative action against you or the article, but I will if it is necessary to prevent further disruption of the project. —C.Fred (talk) 12:14, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
Edit WarringYour recent editing history at Carnatic music shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Alert for India/Pakistan/Afghanistan related articlesThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date. You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. Chalukya DynastyHi there. When using sources please try to use book sources and not leave links as citations. I am aware that Durga Prasad Dikshit has published an authoritative book on the Chalukyas of Badami and included about a 100 inscriptions discovered so far from there rule (66% in Sanskrit and 33% in Kannada). If you can provide a citation for the same content you added from the book it would be a lot more convincing because your link leads nowhere. As such multiple authors such as the historians Suryanatha Kamath and K.A.N. Sastri claim the inscriptions of the Rashtrakutas call them "Karnatabala", not "Karnatakabala" though they mean the same essentially.Pied Hornbill (talk) 22:00, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
