Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. I posted the following on the User talk page of User:RHaworth because you both seem to be involved in the speedy deletion of a page I've worked on in the past, and I'm not sure who to address these remarks to:
"Can you explain why you speedy-deleted this 2-yr old page? It was quite useful for developers looking to understand the origins of this useful package. Your explanation didn't make much sense, so we out here in radio-land would sure appreciate knowing what you were thinking when you did this. If you can't "undelete" it, could you at least point us to the text of the most recent version so we'd have a decent chance of recreating it? I was just involved in trying to get the developers to upload their logo (which I can't do because I'm not the owner of the logo). There's quite a lot of work there that you flushed down the toilet and, if nothing else, I'd like to get it back.
"PS: Is it you (RHaworth) who deleted this page, or someone else (a "Captain Conundrum")? The message on my talk page was signed by "Captain Conundrum", but the deletion info on the Exsite Webware page was signed by you (RHaworth). I'm also puzzled by the "copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites" label. I wrote some of the original contributions, and none of it was copied. Now that you've deleted the page, I can't verify or dispute what you're saying since others may have added to the article in the 2 years that it has been in place. Or perhaps Exsite Webware lifted the WP article for their own page. Please restore the article ASAP. It doesn't deserve Speedy Deletion especially since it was in place for several years, and it's original content. Then we (editors) can figure out what was going on. The last I saw of it, it was a good article."
Hi, it was me who nominated it for deletion, and it was the WP administrator RHaworth who agreed and deleted it. Yes there was some original content, but most of it was identical to content on their website. Articles can be undeleted by administrators, so if you ask RHaworth (or any administrator) they can re-check it for you to see if we made a mistake. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 09:23, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
The really awkward position you have created is that I have no idea what you're referring to since the article was deleted. There's no way I can even discuss what you're suggesting without being able to see the article. Please be careful in future that you don't cause a lot of unnecessary distress and overload due to this kind of clumsy and ham-fisted action. Santamoly (talk) 05:24, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
I was very careful, and I'm sure RHaworth was too. I see from User talk:RHaworth#Deletion of Exsite Webware (software) that you're currently in the middle of an email exchange with him or her about this. But most of the article was identical to content from the Exsite Webware pages, which clearly displayed a copyright notice, and the Exsite pages had no date on them for comparison with the WP article's edit history. For legal reasons, Wikipedia admins must err on the side of caution when there's an apparent breach of copyright, so please don't take the deletion as criticism. It's also possible, as you seem to be suggesting above, that Exsite did copy back content from Wikipedia, and then slapped a copyright notice on the Creative Commons licensed content. If so, then let's sort out the error, and the pages can then be undeleted. If you want to speak to a different administrator about this, then please have a read of WP:Requests for undeletion. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:40, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I see that there are some instances of phrases, or word-sets, that are identical, for example "ExSite Webware is LAMP-compatible", and Wikipedia policy says that these can be enclosed in quotes and attributed to whoever claims ownership of the word-set. Wikipedia copyright policy also says that fair dealing applies where the purpose of using another's words is for educational purposes, and that fair dealing is permitted. Wikipedia:Copyright violations suggests that the page should be tagged first, before deletion, if the page contains only SOME contested content:
Quoting from Wikipedia:Copyright violations:"Handling of suspected violations of copyright policy depend on the particulars of a given case. If you suspect a copyright violation but are uncertain if the content is copyrighted or whether the external site is copying from Wikipedia, you should at least bring up the issue on that page's discussion page, if it is active. In that case, please tag the page, unless your concerns are swiftly resolved. Others can then examine the situation and take action if needed. The most helpful piece of information you can provide is a URL or other reference to what you believe may be the source of the text. You may also make a note of your concerns at Wikipedia talk:Copyright problems.
"Some cases will be false alarms. For example, text that can be found elsewhere on the Web that was in fact copied from Wikipedia in the first place is not a copyright violation – at least not on Wikipedia's part. In these cases, it is a good idea to make a note of the situation on the discussion page. Also, if the contributor is the copyright holder of the text, even if it is published elsewhere under different terms, they have the right to post it here under CC-BY-SA and GFDL – the text may still be unsuitable for Wikipedia for another reason, but it is not a copyright violation. They may donate the material through the procedures described at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials, although until the donation process is complete the article should be replaced with the subst:copyvio tag. Similarly, if they can verify compatible license through a notice at the external site or can prove that the content is public domain, this is not a copyright violation. A note explaining the situation should be made on the talk page (including, if there is a release, the URL of where the release can be found; permission conveyed through e-mail must be confirmed through the procedure at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission) and proper attribution given on the article's face. See guidance on attribution for sources under copyleft or released into public domain.
"If you have strong reason to suspect a violation of copyright policy and some, but not all, of the content of a page appears to be a copyright infringement, then the infringing content should be removed, and a note to that effect should be made on the discussion page, along with the original source, if known. The subst:cclean|url tag has been created for this. If the copyright holder's permission is later obtained, the text may be restored. If all of the content of a page appears to be a copyright infringement or removing the problem text is not an option because it would render the article unreadable, check the page history; if an older non-infringing version of the page exists, you should revert the page to that version.
"If there is no such older version, you may be able to re-write the page from scratch, but failing that, the page will normally need to be deleted. In limited circumstances, administrators may delete obvious copyright violations on sight; see the relevant section of the speedy deletion policy. Contributors may list pages that meet these conditions for deletion using the db-copyvio tag.
"If the criteria for speedy deletion do not apply, you should blank the article or the appropriate section with the subst:copyvio template, and list the page at Wikipedia:Copyright problems; see instructions. This will give interested contributors a week to verify permission for the text or propose a rewrite. If, after a week, the page still appears to be a copyright infringement and no usable rewrite is proposed, it may be deleted by any administrator or reduced to a non-infringing stub."
Can we start by quoting the contested word-sets and republishing the article? Or doing as the above policy quote suggests, tagging the article with a copy-vio tag, and the proceeding with the required house-cleaning. Then we could encourage all involved to clean up their word-sets that are in quotes. It doesn't sound too difficult, and it is all fair-dealing anyway. Or shall I lay out both pages here on your talk page? Then we could all see and debate the various word-pairs, etc, until everyone agrees that the article is "clean" in absolute copyright terms (not just fair-dealing terms). Santamoly (talk) 06:45, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
I see that you've requested that RHaworth send you the deleted article: please don't post it here. You could re-create the article at a user subpage, e.g. User:Santamoly/Exsite Webware, and re-write the copyrighted text there. The two Exsite pages that I found matching the article were at [1] and [2], though there may be more: I gave up hunting after finding two. I'm not interested in working on the draft, as I don't see how it's notable enough for its own article, but best of luck to you with it. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 09:39, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
Since you're both involved in the deletion, and you are disputing the notability aspect of the article even after the copyright issues are sorted out, I'll have to keep posting notability issues here. You are what is commonly called the "key person" in the discussion. No point in ignoring your significant presence in the middle of this particular china shoppe! So, from your remarks above, the plan appears to be that RHaworth is to deal with the copyright issue, and you will oversee the notability question. Am I correct? Santamoly (talk) 04:27, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
Notability is determined by consensus of any Wikipedia editors who wish to be involved. Not sure where you read about the "key person" thing, but I'm not interested in developing the article, as I've noted above. Captain Conundrum (talk) 16:17, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
I sent the following to RHaworth and I'm copying it to you since you're working with RHaworth on this matter:
RHaworth-
Thanks for sending me the text of the deleted article (Exsite Webware) . But the edit history isn't included. The article was perhaps two years old and had an edit history that is needed to examine your claims re notability &/or copyright.
Can you please send me the related edit history so that I can contact the various contributors?
Many thanks,
(Santamoly)
PS: since I'm not sure who was involved in tagging/deleting the article, I'll cc this to each of you via your respective Talk pages
As I've already said above a few times, please don't post the article here, as I'm not interested in developing it. Good luck with the article. Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:26, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
Help me understand where you are coming from on this matter. On the one hand, you said above,"Notability is determined by consensus of any Wikipedia editors who wish to be involved," suggesting that others might be concerned with notability, but you're the only person to have raised the issue in about 2 years. So am I correct that you're the one person on this earth who is concerned about its notability? If we can have a meeting of minds, just we two, on notability, does that mean we can move forward? If it's OK with you, I'd like to bring all the notability discussion here so we can work on it. What do you think? Santamoly (talk) 06:29, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi, i wrote you in reply of your email about my contribution at ManyDesigns Portofino page. Yes, I'm one of the developer of the product, that is open source, LGPL, and downloadable at SourceForge (so no commercial).
This time my only contribution was to update product version, I didn't think that it is a potential problem.
I read all the link that you point out to me, and i had a similar discussion in the Italian section of wikipedia in which i discussed how i followed all wikipedia directives. You can find it here http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discussioni_utente:AlessioMela#ManyDesigns_Portofino
The first Portofino page was done by someone who made a cut and paste from our web site, so we decided to wrote a new page more technical and objective following wikipedia directives.
Please can you tell me what I have done not properly, or how to overcome problems on the page?
Hello, and welcome. There's no problem with updating product versions and that sort of thing, but the article as a whole reads a bit like an advertisement for the product. I'll make some edits to fix that.
There's also the issue of notability for the product - please have a read of WP:Notability for more information about this. How is Portofino notable? Are there any reviews from reliable sources? I can't find any online. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 10:38, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
Hi Captain Conudrum, thanks for your answer.
Portofino is an open source product downloaded 31.000 (moreover) from 139 countries, see stats on sourceforge. We are linked in groovy websites (http://groovy.codehaus.org/Related+Projects), postgresql (http://www.postgresql.org/download/products/1/), stripes (http://www.stripesframework.org/display/stripes/Stripes+Around+The+Web). It was selected in 2009 among the best european open source projects at open innovation awards in France. We made seminars at Java User Groups around Italy, and Free university of Bozen and at University of Genoa.
We are not big, but I hope we are notable in the open source scenario. If you like, you can download our product, and give us your opinion.
Thanks. That blog only mentions that a company called ManyDesign was nominated, but doesn't mention the product or whether it won. Do you have any offline sources, such as newspaper or magazine clippings? Or mentions in a book? Captain Conundrum (talk) 15:11, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
We didn't won we was selected as candidate, i'm looking for offline sources.
That was the email from the commitee (i don't put here the email and phone write me at granatella@gmail.com, if you want them)

I'm not sure whether that counts as significant, in-depth coverage or not, and my Italian language knowledge is very basic, so I'll leave it to other editors to decide. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 16:20, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Hello. The notability tag has been removed from this (please see recent edit summaries). If you disagree, please consider taking it to AfD. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 17:20, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Hello, I recived the message about the Jaws Project page.
The original page had been deleted over two years ago, in 2010, but since then, much has changed.
The new page has been deleted so fast that I haven't had the time to reply and then there was no discussion.
Please, consider that the new page is not a copy of the 2010 deleted page, because it's an original work written by me.
I can't read the 2010 page, can you?
If you can, please, could you copy and paste the old page in my talk page, so that I can give it a read?
Hi, no I'm not an admin so I can't read it either. But the admin who deleted it was INeverCry: you could ask him/her to undelete it to a user subpage for you to work on it. But please note that it also didn't say anything about how it's notable, so before you re-create it as a new article, please have a read of WP:Notability, or someone else will just delete it again. Let me know if you want some help with any of this. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 19:44, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I saw that you have "speed deleted" our page "ManyDesigns Portofino", and I would try to understand the causes and to solve the problems, instead to contest the speed deletion.
As I said in my previous comment, the first version of this page was made by an unknown user, who cut and paste some information from our website. And it was deleted. So we decided to write a page to describe the product in an objective way.
That's why we start to write the page on our behalf.
About notability, i can ask to Open World Forum the list of candidates in 2009 (among others "Portofino") if you want, and i can't send you the response (contact me at granatella@gmail.com). Unfortunately the page of that event no longer exist.
As i said before we are linked in the website of postgresql (DB), groovy (scripting language) and stripes (web framework), those are all in english.
We was linked by Sun (now Oracle), among products certified for Java Powered for the Enterprise Directory, http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javaee/directory-141301.html
Other reference, these are in italian, unfortunately, but obviously we are located in Europe:
Hello, and thanks for that. Any language is fine, so don't worry about using non-English sources, but the sources you cite above appear to be mostly self-published, and therefore not useful as evidence of notability. You can re-write the article, using Wikipedia:Articles for creation, and it will get reviewed for notability, but as for me, it doesn't look as if it will meet English Wikipedia's criteria for notability yet. It looks like a brilliant piece of software though, and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes much more notable in a few years. Good luck! Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:46, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. Finally, I forgot to mention that we have two mailing lists (in English and Italian), with 110 members.

NetCrunch IP SLA reports
Hey, thanks for staying on top of the network monitoring comparisons. I work at AdRem and am making adjustments to the NetCrunch info. The documentation for NC7 isn't complete, but IP SLA reports are possible via configuration, which i was told directly from the programmers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.252.166.202 (talk) 08:24, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
10-4, it will take some time for the technical writers to prepare the NC7 documentation, but it is currently being worked on. We would also like to add a column regarding support for ESX/ESXi monitoring to the comparison page. This will affect all of the various monitoring options on the list, so i'm not sure how to proceed. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.252.166.202 (talk) 08:33, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Understood, the goal here is just to update the information contained on Wiki. Aside from the ESX support, there's nothing left from our side to update. Thanks for you help, and for the quick response. Our release notes here: http://www.adremsoft.com/netcrunch/page/release-notes show ESX support, and i'm working on having them add IP SLA somewhere in the documentation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.252.166.202 (talk) 08:56, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
government of north korea
Shalom!
Let me explain u: first I think the article name should even changed to "Cabinet of North Korea". we talk about the executive branch of the north Korean political system, and it is the north Korean cabinet (sometimes called government). As for the he section about the songun, it can be written in the article Politics of North Korea, which describes the north Korean political system. as for this article, Government of North Korea, more should be written about the role of the north Korean government (cabinet) in the political system. for example its responsible mainly for implementing economic policy which is seted by the Workers' Party.
I also would to ask if its possible to change the article name to "Cabinet of North Korea".
Honestly, I think the article was called in the past Cabinet of North Korea and I changed it to the current name but it was mistake, or at least inaccurate. The north Korean constitution uses the term Cabinet. and as specified: "Cabinet is the administrative and executive body of the highest organ of State power and a general state management organ." All best, SuperzoharTalk12:07, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Hello, and thanks for your message. I checked the edit history, and article has always had this name: here is the first edit. Substantial changes like you're proposing here are best discussed at the article's talk page, but best of luck with that. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 12:47, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I see you've done some welcome editing of my article "David K. Lam" and was hoping you'd take a look at my recent attempt to add a new reference to the end of the reference list. It's coming up in a different font size and is not being added as a numbered item in the list of references. I'm a real newbie at this and as I see the way wiki is presenting my reference, it's clear to me that I'm missing something in the process. Any suggestions?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Guzeman (talk • contribs) 22:58, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome! I'd be happy to help. Rather than point you at lots of documentation to read about how to add different kinds of references, it would probably be easier to start by just adding in that excellent reference that you've found. For which part of the text did you want that to be a reference? Using it for more than one part of the article is fine: there's a little trick we can use to make one reference get used in several places in an article, kind of like an "Ibid." in an academic paper. I see the reference mentions Multibeam, Silicon Valley Engineering Hall of Fame, Texas Instruments, etc. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:14, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello. I was going partly on WP:STANDALONE and WP:LISTCRUFT, and partly on the more general guidelines under WP:Notability. Lists of software tend to attract additions of every implementation out there, notable or non-notable. Sometimes it seems to be promo by the application's creator, and sometimes it seems to be well-meant additions by editors trying to make the most complete list possible. But if a list is full of redlinks, referenced only by a link to a project page or vendor's website, then it can turn it into a WP:Linkfarm. I personally think that lists of software should only include a redlink to a product if there's a link to the product's creator or vendor, so for example if Linus Torvalds or Microsoft have created a WebSocket implementation, then a redlink is worth including in the list, with a reference to a WP:Reliable source, with a working internal link to the creator in the adjacent column. That can encourage creation of articles later about notable implementations, or even just redirecting and then adding a referenced section to the target article. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:27, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
I have explained it at the AFD page. There's no consensus yet, and as the two articles are almost identical, and as noted in the first paragraph of WP:CANVASS"In general, it is perfectly acceptable to notify other editors of ongoing discussions, provided that it is done with the intent to improve the quality of the discussion by broadening participation to more fully achieve consensus.". I did not cherrypick which editors in that discussion to notify: I notified all the editors in that discussion who haven't already contributed to the new one. Captain Conundrum (talk) 13:06, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
You've lost me. How is it not fair to get everyone who expressed an opinion before on an almost identical article to revisit the subject? You do want the fullest consensus possible, right? Captain Conundrum (talk) 13:11, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I read WP:CANVASSING thoroughly before notifying all the prior contributors - that's where I found Template:Please see, in fact. But as noted at the AFD, this is an unusual situation, very nearly qualifying for speedy db-repost. If admins think I'm wrong about that, then I'll apologize. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 17:21, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for you edits on the ExtraCMS page. I shall attempt to make the necessary edits to the page to the standard required within the time frame.
These are among my first edits, so bound to get everything wrong.
When these have been made I would appreciate any further input on how to improve the page to make it suitable for permanent inclusion on wikipedia.
You're welcome, but I'd strongly suggest instead that you not edit pages about your company. There are over 4 million other articles, and we very much need your help with them. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 21:55, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
I can't imagine why it would be controversial - I was only asking for an admin to move it over the (edited) redirect, as I can't do that myself. Thanks for asking. Captain Conundrum (talk) 23:59, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

First solve the problem with the article, and then we can remove the templates. If you aren't Farid Khan, then why is your username BeingFaridKhan, and why did you say on your user page that you are Farid Khan? Captain Conundrum (talk) 22:12, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

WP:Secondary sources, such as articles about you written by other people, are needed in order to demonstrate your notability. WP:Primary sources, such as the articles you've written for those sports websites, aren't considered sufficient. You appear to have created a second account, and using both accounts to edit the article. Please note that that's known as WP:Sock puppetry, and is not allowed on Wikipedia. Hertsbeingwell's sole edit was to remove that speedy deletion tag minutes later, and the maintenance tags. Was it far-fetched to suppose there might be a connection? You might not be the same person, but I'm willing to bet you're sitting in the same office. Why not go home, and enjoy the bank holiday weekend instead? Captain Conundrum (talk) 16:12, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Its actually not spam, but a place where people could find relevant services for their health and wellbeing needs that affect this county. So instead of being rude, can you explain how I could best do this? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hertswell (talk • contribs) 16:18, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
OMG the is is ridiculous, I don't work for the board, I do work for the council and wanted a place so that the public could put in their input/views into these topics/services. If this is not the correct place, then fine, but you could explain that without trolling or being mean about it. How are people suppose to help and contribute to Wikipedia when they are being blocked or websites get deleted and people are being rude about explaining the reasons? Thanks for your help ;-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hertswell (talk • contribs) 16:32, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
I know you can't reply here since you've just been blocked for spamming, but please do have a read of Troll (Internet). Me not being very welcoming or helpful to spammers is nothing at all like trolling. And it's twenty to six now, mate, on Bank Holiday Friday. Pencils down! How wonderful! He lived his life so well, and yet was so modest and kind; truly an inspiration for all the people whose lives he saved or changed, during his lifetime and for who knows how long into the future. Captain Conundrum (talk) 06:39, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

As you have deleted the page which i have created!
As you have deleted the page which i have created called "Asian Fox Developments", so can i ask anyone to create that or any other page. Reply Soon....
It doesn't matter who creates an article, as long as it keeps to Wikipedia guidelines: it needs to be written with a WP:Neutral point of view, not breach copyright, etc. I didn't delete your article though - that was User:Alexf. Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:20, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. can i get the link to Alexf.
Hi Captain, as a flame retardant fabrics manufactuer we have added substantial information to both the fire retardant fabrics page and written the BS5867 page. We have cited ourselves as we use information located on our webpage and also been sensible enough to rewrite the information so it is not duplicated.
I think we should be cited as we are at the forfront of British Flame Retardant fabric manufacture.
I use WP:Twinkle for that. It's a whole box full of timesaving automation. You can turn it on in your preferences, and then the "TW" menu appears at the upper right of every page. Loads welcome templates in there. Have fun. :-) Captain Conundrum (talk) 15:52, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
For what you are giving warning. Whenever i add some info you or other person reject it so what can i add to Wikipedia. I can't add about chemistry, companies, people & much more because you guys delete it. What info i can add to Wikipedia i am having very bad experience with Wikipedia. Reply Soon.
You know full well what you've been warned about by me and several other editors. Looking at your edit history, it's easy to see that you haven't added anything about "chemistry, companies, people & much more" to Wikipedia, you've only added advertising about your company, most recently here and here. You're going to get blocked if you keep doing it. Captain Conundrum (talk) 16:27, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Ah sorry, my mistake, thanks for picking that up. Very similar names in English, though I'd imagine that they're easily distinguishable in Chinese. "Category:Ships of the PLA Navy" should be removed as a parent category of "Category:Ships of the China Marine Surveillance", which I also created. There should be some sort of ship-related parent category on there though, rather than just MOT of the PRC. Shall I add "Category:Ships of China" as a parent? A new editor overwrote that talk page with an article on a movie, and then duplicated it at the (empty) Main Page/Archives. I saw Main Page/Archives, and thought he'd simply put the article in the wrong namespace, so I renamed it to the name of the film, and kept the "also move talk page" box ticked. I then dug a little, and realized my error, which I've now fixed by reverting the move of the talk page. Thanks for noticing. :-) Captain Conundrum (talk) 10:47, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
hmm, Now I understand your comment fully after visiting the page you just nominated for CSD R3. Good that problem is quickly rectified.--Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ10:52, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Let's keep an eye on that editor though: it's the second time he's tried to create an article by overwriting an existing talk page. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 10:54, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello Captain Conundrum. Can you please review my article. I want to make sure is well written and is not considered as spam or advertising. I greatly appreciate your feedback. I am having trouble with my reference links. ;( Thank You!

You're wasting your time creating all these accounts, and trying to create articles about yourself. The name Rajiv Jain is now on the watch list of several editors, and will continue to be removed. Captain Conundrum (talk) 06:42, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
The Marins
That was a fine array of speedy reasons for Lady G just now - G4, G5, A7 and, I think, G3 hoax as well, because I don't find any trace of them except in Facebook, Twitter and the like, and the claim that she was at Prince William's wedding seems to be false. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 15:43, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. And a G3 as well! Well done! :-) I personally think that royalty from prince-level downwards are entirely non-notable (having no influence on legislation), but that's an argument for another day. Captain Conundrum (talk) 15:46, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

hey, thanks for your help. i have all the sources, i'm just not sure how to cite them. how do you show that multiple different parts of the article are from a unitary source? when i tried to cite them, it came out as numbers 1-17, when i wanted them to all have the number 1 in superscript to its right. Jtdaman93 (talk) 21:53, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Anytime! If you've got the sources, then just add them to the "External links" section at the bottom, and I'll show you how to format them as footnotes. Or you can have a read of Help:Footnotes if that's quicker for you. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 04:26, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your fresh pair of NPOV eyes, particularly for edits that have helped me (as principle writer) stop seeing so cross-eyed. —Sandover (talk) 09:54, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
I had a fifteen-minute meeting with him in 2006 to discuss James Merrill and to show him some of what I'd discovered (hoping he might confirm a hunch or two of mine, though he remained perfectly poker-faced). He was the model of dash in his double-breasted dark blue suit, and though kind-eyed indeed he may well have been, he had a way of holding my gaze that made me babble and squirm in my seat. Or very nearly.
And so acutely did Dr. Detre feel his doctor-patient confidentiality (11 years after the poet's death), he was quite unable to confirm simple facts about James Merrill long in the public record, because he had heard them first from the poet's lips and didn't know if they had ever been made public. This was probably the most touching aspect of our meeting, his exquisite determination to do right by both his friendship and professional duty . . Sandover (talk) 10:46, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi. Just thought you I would let you know that the reason I tagged this as a possible hoax is that I can't seem to find any mention of him anywhere. A google search finds a runner of the same name. Soccerway don't list him either. Gbawden (talk) 12:08, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
It could well be a hoax, but a new youth player might not have a listing on Soccerway. But db-hoax is for blatant hoaxes only. If the article said that he "scored the first goal in the ninth minute in the 2002 World Cup", then that would be grounds for speedy. But players younger than 15 have played professionally (Freddy Adu, for example), and there was a 12-year old who appeared in a pro match in Bolivia not long ago. That's the slightly unhinged world of football for you. :-) It's a possible hoax, so it's worth adding the {{hoax|date=June 2013}} tag since we can't find anything about him online. Captain Conundrum (talk) 12:17, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Captain, I think you are incorrect, i wrote the page on flame retardant curtain fabrics and i wrote it based on the knowledge of my company who are flame retardant curtain fabric manufactures. As per an encyclopedia you need to give credit for knowledge and we wrote the page and we are also a font of knowledge on FR fabrics. So i believe the content should remain.
I also think i should be the main author of this page. How would i go about doing this
There are no main authors of pages on Wikipedia, as described in WP:Ownership of articles. I'm not sure what you mean by "credit for knowledge". If you mean that you should be rewarded for writing the article by having sales links to your company on the page, then no, nobody gets that kind of credit here. It's great that you're contributing about a subject in which you've got expertise, but please have a read of WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Spam. Use the BSI links by all means, but sales links from your company will be removed by other editors, not just me. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 08:45, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi Capt. Conundrum, you reverted my BLP prod on Jason Kenneth Chown. My reason for the prod was that the reference given does not open on my browser after several attempts. There is a reference given in the article but it does not open. Where you able to open it? If so all is well. Cheers. Ochiwar (talk) 13:34, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi Ochiwar, yes the link was formatted wrong, but you should be able to open it now: Google translation shows it to be a full profile on the guy (with a different spelling of his name) in what looks like the online edition of a newspaper, but his notability is still unclear to me. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 16:53, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
disambiguations for Western Australian islands
At a minimum, it would have been polite to discuss the matter with me before doing a mass speedy deletion template placement. (FYI: As it is a work in progress, I contest all those you have labelled.) Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:44, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Apologies for not discussing it first, but the five I nominated all met the criteria for speedy deletion. Are you planning to add third entries to any of them? If not, then the speedy tags need to be restored. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 13:53, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Apologies for not discussing it first - Thank you.
but the five I nominated all met the criteria for speedy deletion - Agreed. As I said, it is a work in progress.
Are you planning to add third entries to any of them? - Yes. (To all of them.)
If not, then the speedy tags need to be restored. - If you must, then nominate them for deletion, but please do not put speedy tags on them; the more time I spend dealing with speedy tags, the less time I have to address the "problems" I'm working on.
OK, let's give it a week or two then. You could always create the dabs as user subpages, then move them to mainspace when they're ready. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 14:05, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
I didn´t see that already exist a page with the same information. So, its better to delete the page I create. Thank you! CSM.80 (talk) 15:25, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for reading and contributing to the RNDeer article. I noticed that you added the notability tag to the article. This company is fairly new and therefore does not have more than a few secondary sources. Do you have any advice on what I could do to better meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines? I have no intention of eluding any Wikipedia guidelines, but I don't have extensive experience writing for Wikipedia. Thanks again, any advice is appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tricky9981 (talk • contribs) 15:05, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi, have a read of WP:WEB for notability guidelines. In general, not many websites are notable a few months after that they launch, unless they do something unusual, or meet with sudden success. What's needed is more WP:Secondary, WP:Reliable sources about the page. Please let me know if you need any help with the formatting etc. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 15:10, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Since I am new here, I would like to know if a reference to a german article will also work. I added track+, which only has a german article. Will that work or should I translate the article first?

Your recent editing history at Comparison of issue-tracking systems shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
