Pro- & Anti- coalition protest across CanadaHiya Camer. There's one very good thing I like about all this protesting; the Governor General is in a 'no win' situation. This might stir up 'republican' fevour (in Canada? wishful thinking on my part). GoodDay (talk) 20:18, 6 December 2008 (UTC) Liam NeesonHiya Camer. Sorry about the 'trouble' I caused at that article (thanks for standing up, for me). PS- When did ya change your external-moniker? GoodDay (talk) 17:44, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Psst...you may want to read "about me". --Miesianiacal (talk) 03:59, 10 December 2008 (UTC) Monarchy of DenmarkHad to chuckle a bit when I read your edit summary at Monarchies in the Americas; those were my sentiments exactly when I noted Monarchy of Denmark came up as a red-link! One of the world's oldest monarchies, and not even a proper Wikipedia article... The shame... --Miesianiacal (talk) 14:38, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Merry Christmas
Groombridge et alHello, Cameron, we worked a bit on that Groombridge entry, and I keep meaning to get back to it and add. I promise you that I will in the New Year. Cameron, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you on your question. At the moment, I am swamped with holiday stuff, a few personal issues and working on a couple of my own articles that are in a potentially touchy situation. I don't have time to do a GA review of your article right now, but if it's still up for review after the first of the year, I'll get to it right away (or sooner, if I come upon some unexpected free time). I have taken a quick look over it though, and it looks like a great article. As soon as I get a few free minutes, I look forward to reviewing it...unless someone else gets there first :) I apologize again for not responding sooner. Dana boomer (talk) 18:32, 22 December 2008 (UTC) Happy holidaysThanks for making 2008 an interesting and enlightening year for me; at some point, our paths have crossed and I've found your comments amusing, helpful or thought-provoking—I'll let you guess which! Best, Risker (talk) 03:31, 25 December 2008 (UTC) RE: Monarchies in OceaniaThank you. I got the idea for the article from Monarchies in the Americas, which we can all thank you for starting. Glad to meet someone who has the same interests as me. :) Oh, by the way, I've been keeping a watch on the File "World_Monarchies.png", because if that image is changed some articles which have it may also need to be changed. Someone keeps reverting people's edits to that image which colour the UK light green as it is a Commonwealth realm. I was wondering what to do, as this editor has reverted a lot of people's edits to that image whenever someone colours the UK as a Commonwealth realm. I'm quite sure if Canada, Australia, etc are coloured as Commonwealth realms (light green), then so should the United Kingdom. Luckily the editor has started a discussion on the image's talk page, File_talk:World_Monarchies.png, nevertheless he has made the UK dark green again, thought you might be interested as this effects the way some related articles look. --Knowzilla
I might be the one you're talking about. I revert to the dark-green UK for two reasons: 1. the old light-green versions are missing several other monarchies, and 2. both colors are appropriate for the UK, since it's a monarchy with or without the Commonwealth. There might be several workarounds, but IMO the UK is much more like the Netherlands than it is Australia. But point two is hardly worth an argument. kwami (talk) 09:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC) DYK for Monarchy of DenmarkOrlady 02:20, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
