- @Estiracables Again, you should go to the Spanish Wikipedia. It is difficult to collaborate if you cannot speak the same language as other editors. It will be better to contribute here instead: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Portada. You are not blocked in the Spanish Wikipedia. You are only blocked in English Wikipedia. So feel free to ask folks there to help you. Good luck! Ca talk to me! 09:29, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

- Hi! Thanks for your feedback on Draft: Jules Sherred. I posed the following at the help desk, but I thought I should ask you, too.
- You rejected because of, not enough independent sources. Fair! I didn't include multiple sources for a lot of the content because I wrongly assumed it would be redundant. And a couple sources misgender Sherred, so I excluded those, too. My question: would including those multiple sources for the same sentences/paragraphs fix the issues? How do we deal with sources that misgender the subject?
Black0kamHenry (talk) 19:03, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, if there is a independent source and non-independent source, it is often better to cite the independent source. A question I ask myself when reviewing draft is: Is there sufficient amount of coverage in independent sources to create a neutral and fleshed-out article? Make sure the sources you are adding are reliable (You can ask reliability questions at WP:RSN), and devote in-depth coverage to Jules Sherred. If a source misgenders a subject, it could be a sign of a subpar editorial control. However, it could also mean they haven't got around to updating it yet. Ca talk to me! 19:52, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- It was national mainstream news organizations like The National Post and the CBC in which the misgendering occur. They are considered reputable sources, but this happened before they had editorial standards in regard to transgender people and the use pronouns. And the articles are old enough where I think it is safe to say they won't be updated. I'll see about finding other sources. In my experiences, these can be a bit more difficult to find for Canadian subjects, but I'll see what I can find. If you have any more tips, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! 2604:3D08:1E79:FA40:4D9D:2040:88F:CFBC (talk) 20:02, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- You can always try contacting the authors to correct the misgendering. Good luck on finding sources! Ca talk to me! 14:57, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
Greetings. Could you review my draft now? I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi! I just submited a new article draft some days ago, but it was declined. You said I could talk to you on your page, so I am asking what kind of source could I use?
This is the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Love_Can_Heal_(song)
Thanks,
Oana! 2804:7F4:338B:F6B6:B031:7D3C:C13E:1B37 (talk) 00:16, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, you can use any reliable source for your article. Limited use of non-independent sources are also a-OK. But they should not be used to support contentious or promotional claims. For example, interviews are good for information on the artist's thought process, but not its reception. However, only reliable(not: blogs) and secondary(not: primary/dependent) sources contribute to notability. I hope this helps! Ca talk to me! 00:29, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi! I spent some days trying to find sources that are not only news of release, but I just found more news, his official website page about the song, and the charts page which denoted that this song did not charted. I just couldn't find anything else, or I don't know exatly what to search for. Could you help me with that, please? Are there any good sites to search in? 2804:7F4:338B:F6B6:B916:B21C:6481:EC0E (talk) 04:00, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I should have been more clear on what press releases are. Press releases are reports given out by the organization the report is about, so it would not be considered independent. News article are just fine as long is it isn't written by the organization the news article is about. You can try using this template to search for sources. Just click the search engines that look think is the most relevant.

- I think I understood. But how do I identify which reports are payed and which are independent and reliable? 2804:7F4:338B:F6B6:B916:B21C:6481:EC0E (talk) 04:10, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Most publications have indicating words like "Press release" or "Sponsored" before the actual article. If you are unsure, you can ask me or friendly folks at the WP:Teahouse. Ca talk to me! 04:12, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi! I saw all the sources I used, and only one of them have the words "press release" or "sponsored", which is this one: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/peter-gabriel-love-can-heal/
- The other ones have no evidence of being a payed article, as far as I know. 2804:7F4:338B:F6B6:DD45:7FE7:6645:F3CA (talk) 15:24, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- I didn't understood then, why aren't those sources unreliable? 2804:7F4:338B:F6B6:E1:45FE:6780:6BE5 (talk) 20:08, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
- Non-independent sources can only be used for uncontroversial facts about themselves. See WP:ABOUTSELF Ca talk to me! 14:40, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- But I think those are independent sources. I didn't found any evidence that they are payed articles. 2804:7F4:338B:F6B6:F170:878C:B3B9:F8A3 (talk) 23:33, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- I am not sure which articles you are referring to. Can you provide links to the articles in question? Thanks. Ca talk to me! 23:36, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- Of course. You said before "Most publications have indicating words like "Press release" or "Sponsored" before the actual article.", and I search on those articles and found none of those words.

- Yes, you are correct. None of the articles are press releases. However many of them have varying defrees of independence. Peter Grabriel's own channel and interviews are not independent sources since it only reflects Gabriel (the creator)'s point of view. Ca talk to me! 09:26, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
