Do we really need to "correct" widely accepted spellings?Re: your recent edit to Paul Krugman -- the plural of syllabus is widely agreed to be ambiguous. Both the Latinate and Anglicized versions are considered correct by multiple dictionaries. (Here's Merriam Webster, just as an example.
