"Content"

It was a bot notice, not content  :) --HanzoHattori 10:34, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I care, the talk page is waaay too long anyway. Btw, how to archive it? Would be nice if you answered on mine :) --HanzoHattori 10:44, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, I read this, and that may help you a lot. But, to make a long story short, copy and paste everything you want to archive to /Archive 1 and then you can do what most people do and just put something like "this date-this date" somewhere near the top or you could do what some others (me included) do and that is use this template to make it look fancier. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 10:48, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! --HanzoHattori 11:48, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Your report to WP:AIV

Please note that, while we strongly encourage everyone to report accounts or IPs who continue to vandalize despite being warned, WP:AIV is only for very simple and clear instances of vandalism. Another editor is behaving in a way you find objectionable is not vandalism. If you do believe admin intervention is necessary in such a case, you're welcome to report the incident on the admin's incident noticeboard. Seraphimblade Talk to me 10:37, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Who did I report? I haven't reported anybody recently, are you sure you're talking to the right person? BsroiaadnTalk 10:39, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
I apologize, I hit the wrong link. Please disregard that. Seraphimblade Talk to me 10:42, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

COT

They are clearly different (i.e. Grill inserts and whatnot). i have numerous pictures to document this, but no actual hard evidence. Phathead 21:11, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, when you say "different" do you mean stuff like the stickers that make up the headlights and such, which is definitely true, or actually different? BsroiaadnTalk 13:17, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
I mean the actual front panel is shaped slightly different. For instances the Ford COT has indentations for the grill and whatnot. I got a couple people who work for RCR and JGR and a buddy who drives for Ganassi that has said the same thing. I'll dig up some pics. Phathead 02:21, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Actually flip through Jayski's COT page and you'll see what I mean. Its not perfectly clear, but u can tell from the difference even in the Monte and the Camry http://www.jayski.com/schemes/2006/COT.htm Phathead 02:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Hmmmm...well, I definitely seem some differences, though they aren't huge. Either way, they're still differences...feel free to add back what you had added a couple days ago. By the way, I moved your last post up to the other "COT" section on my talk page to keep it all together. BsroiaadnTalk 15:43, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Zach Parise

Do you have any sources for the nicknames you insist on adding to Zach Parise? BsroiaadnTalk 21:26, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I do. The nickname was floating around message boards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.82.28.144 (talk) 3:54, July 2, 2007
Well, do you have a link to any of them that'll show me? I'll look for it myself, but it'll probably be easier for you to find than for me to find. I could see that being a plausible nickname, in a way, but I still think it should be referenced. BsroiaadnTalk 13:16, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
No I don't have a link. It was something HF board users jokingly nicknamed him as. I'd have to look through too many threads, which I don't want to do. Sorry. But this is Wiki...and anyone is allowed to edit the pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.82.28.144 (talk) 18:35, July 2, 2007
Well, it's probably going to be removed by someone if it isn't referenced, just to let you know. BsroiaadnTalk 19:38, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
What...does every detail have to be referenced? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.82.28.144 (talk) 19:52, July 2, 2007
Not every single little detail, usually just stuff that is either controversial, stuff that most people don't/won't believe is possible, and stuff like statistics where numbers are extremely important. Though referencing the other stuff is a good thing, too. BsroiaadnTalk 20:20, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

About 15 years ago. Corvus cornix 06:24, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Did you get anything at all? Like a parting gift or something? And how do you even get on shows like that? Do you have to sign up and go through a lot of stuff...like elimination rounds or something before-hand? BsroiaadnTalk 06:26, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

I got a trip to Puerto Vallarta for coming in second on the show. I was living in Southern California at the time, and I went down to their tryouts. We had to take a test where Alex would read an answer on a videotape and we would have to write down the questions. For some reason, they pre-filled the answers on the answer sheet with "What is a ..." or "Who was ..." and then you finish the question. That helped me in one case, because I wasn't sure of two possible choices, but the filled-in portion said "What is an ..." so I knew the answer had to start with a vowel, so I picked the one of the two choices that I wasn't sure of. (I can't even remember what the question was, now). When we finished, we sat around and then announced which of us had passed. They never told us what a passing score was, and they never told us what scores we got. Then they had those of us who had passed do a sample game with other people, but it was low-tech, no buzzers, they gave us ballpoint pens to click.  :) But it was just really a run-through to check out our personalities and how we presented ourselves on TV, I think.  :) Then they asked us what our availability was, and I said, since I lived in Southern California, that I was available whenever. So, about five months later, they called me and asked if I could come in for a taping. Corvus cornix 06:31, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

That's pretty cool. How was the trip? And how long did the whole testing thing take? Did it happen over the course of a month or what? BsroiaadnTalk 19:12, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
The testing took about 90 minutes. I'm not fond of Mexico, so I didn't have a great time. One thing that made me laugh was I met some Canadian girls who were afraid to eat or drink anything there, so they had brought their own bottled water and cans of tuna.  :) Corvus cornix 23:16, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
How long were you out there? And hahahaha, their luggage must have been pretty heavy. BsroiaadnTalk 15:28, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
I was there four days. Spent most of it at the pool at the hotel. Corvus cornix 15:50, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Haha, I'd probably do the same thing. How big was the pool? Pretty big? Average-sized? BsroiaadnTalk 22:20, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Pretty big. And they had swim-up drink service.  :) Lots of margaritas.  :) Corvus cornix 22:26, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

That's pretty cool. I've never had that before, but I suppose it would be kind of dissapointing afterwards whenever I get into a pool that doesn't have one. lol. BsroiaadnTalk 01:34, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
You can find other things to amuse you, I suppose.  :) Corvus cornix 01:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmmmmm...I suppose there are a lot of things you could do to entertain yourself around a pool. Haha. Was the pool really crowded most of the time? BsroiaadnTalk 02:10, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, a lot of the time. Sometimes they strung up a net for pool volleyball, so it was hard to swim. Corvus cornix 02:11, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I gotcha. I hate when that happens, especially when the kids are jumping around and stuff without looking where they're going and keep bumping into people. They don't even say sorry or anything. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 02:21, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, not kids, mostly young 20s or so. Corvus cornix 02:23, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
It can still get a little annoying. Haha. Was it as hot as you'd expect it to be in Mexico? BsroiaadnTalk 18:37, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
No, it wasn't too bad, PV is on the coast. About like Los Angeles, where I was living at the time. Corvus cornix 18:39, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, I've never left the east coast so I have no idea what LA is like. I heard it's a little hot during the day but cool at night, is this true? BsroiaadnTalk 18:48, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
LA temperatures depend on what part of the area you're in. I lived in Torrance, which is southwest of downtown LA near to the coast, so it was usually pretty mild. But if you get up in the San Fernando Valley, which is northwest of downtown and on the other side of the Santa Monica Mountains, it can be really, really, really smoggy, and temps can be over 100 degrees. I'm now in the Sacramento area, where it was 111 yesterday. Corvus cornix 18:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Wow, that's pretty hot. I mean, we've gotten it into the hundreds over here (not this year), and it sucks. Is it something you're used to there or is it still pretty high in comparison? BsroiaadnTalk 19:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I grew up north of here where the temperatures are like that every summer, but I went to high school and college in the Bay Area, where it's considerably cooler, and then I lived in Torrance for a long time, so I'm just now get re-acclimatized (I've been here three years now). Corvus cornix 20:38, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, at least you're used to it. The winters here are freezing cold and the summers are really hot, don't have much time to get used to it. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 05:04, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
But I don't want to get used to it.  :) Corvus cornix 23:23, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism - Anna Anderson page

I wanted to bring to your attention yet another vandal on the Anna Anderson page called Questforanastasia - this user has removed a huge amount of the page. As I do not wish to become involved in what has been a very ugly edit war, I can only hope you will show this user that such behaviour is totally unacceptable. There is a long history involved in this user and other users vandalism of this page. Sadly they do not understand and then launch extremely personal attacks. They are not interested in discussion. An examination of the discussion page on the subject clearly shows this. I believe the article needs protecting. Thank you so much for your assistance. Finneganw 12:34, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, that's great....but why are your only edits telling me and Trusilver about this "vandalism"? And even copying and pasting the same exact message no less. Can you please explain this to me? BsroiaadnTalk 19:06, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Could be because this user is the banned User:Aussiebrisguy. The fact that his/her edits are only to Anna Anderson and Lady Louise Windsor shows quite easily that it is the same user. And he's already causing problems on the Lady Louise article. --UpDown 18:03, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I decided to just bring this conversation over to your talk since it's pretty apparent that Finneganw won't be responding. Who's a sock of Aussiebrisguy? Finneganw is? Are they making the edits again that got them banned in the first place? BsroiaadnTalk 18:36, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Inclusion tags for Wikipedia:Featured content

I saw your edits on List of New Jersey Devils head coaches and was wondering...what do the "inclusion tags for Wikipedia:Featured content" do exactly? BsroiaadnTalk 02:33, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Featured content/Lists transcludes the original article, much like a template, or the featured article candidates page (whereas the image and article scripts use the Main page feature archives). The various <include> tags are used to control what appears there. Nothing outside <onlyinclude> is transcluded (I assume you know how the two other, more frequent tags function). I have the same question regarding Grade I listed buildings in Bristol William Avery 07:12, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you! :)

Thank you so much,
my dear Brian! :)

Dear Brian, that was incredibly sweet, thank you so much! :) Words escape me to think of the best way to thank you properly, so, humm... how about a poem?

I thank thee, friend, for the beautiful thought
That in words well chosen thou gavest to me,
Deep in the life of my soul it has wrought
With its own rare essence to ever imbue me,
To gleam like a star over devious ways,
To bloom like a flower on the drearest days
Better such gift from thee to me
Than gold of the hills or pearls of the sea.

For the luster of jewels and gold may depart,
And they have in them no life of the giver,
But this gracious gift from thy heart to my heart
Shall witness to me of thy love forever;
Yea, it shall always abide with me
As a part of my immortality;
For a beautiful thought is a thing divine,
So I thank thee, oh, friend, for this gift of thine!

The poetry behind your own gesture, and the lovely gifts you so kindly gave me will warm my heart for a long, long time, dear Brian. I hope that we talk more in the future, because I'd be honored to call you a new friend. May you have a beautiful day! :) Love, Phaedriel - 22:04, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I've thought about it, and I've changed my decision. I decided to start re-writing the Scott Stevens article, though it's in my sandbox. You can make edits to it if you want, I haven't been making many...mostly small changes....haven't quite read many articles on him lately, so I'm gonna do that first before I start making major edits. But, like I said, feel free to add (or remove) stuff yourself. By the way, I left the categories and stuff at the bottom and just put the <nowiki> tags around it so it wouldn't show up in the categories. BsroiaadnTalk 20:22, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm actually in the final stages of my translation. I've been working on it every day, and let me tell you..it's a chore. I've created a whole bunch of hockey-related articles just so that there are less red links, and I still have to create articles for, I guess, every player on the team. They're usually just stubs, but it's still annoying because I have to interwiki them. Let me know how the progress goes. JHMM13(Disc) 01:50, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
That's awesome, man. Great work. But, most of the players have no articles? Really? How big is the Italian wiki? And I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. BsroiaadnTalk 05:08, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

starting a new section

I'm not sure if I should start here or post it in your archive, so I'll do it here and you can move it if you want.
Why would you not want to get used to the heat? lol. BsroiaadnTalk 14:10, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

New section's fine, I would probably not see it in the archive.  :) Why don't I want to get used to the heat? I'd rather sit in the comfort of air conditioning.  :) Corvus cornix 15:53, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Oooohhh, haha, I thought you meant that you didn't want to get used to the heat because you enjoyed sweating your ass off for some reason. lol. I'd probably have the air conditioning on all year if I lived in that kind of weather. BsroiaadnTalk 01:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Hah. It gets below freezing in the winter. Corvus cornix 01:36, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Really? Never heard that before, haha. How could it get so cold with it being so close to the equator? It doesn't snow though, does it? BsroiaadnTalk 18:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
No snow here, but it's only twenty miles to the foothills, and it does snow up there. Corvus cornix 18:54, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Does it snow a lot up in the foothills? BsroiaadnTalk 00:30, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Not a lot. Higher in the Sierras, they get a lot of snow, usually the freeway between here and Reno and between here and South Lake Tahoe are closed at some point during the winter. Corvus cornix 01:09, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Jeez, the way people usually talk about Cali...it's always really really hot....in all of it. I've been wondering though...what do people say about New Jersey? Other than that it's toxic, dirty, and smells. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 02:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

California's 400 miles long, it's got high mountains in the north and east, desert in the southeast, redwood rain forests in the northwest, the Bay Area is almost always cool, temperatures in the 70s are warm for San Francisco. Corvus cornix 03:00, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

The redwood trees are the ones that are big enough that you can drive through them, right? BsroiaadnTalk 13:26, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Award

Hey Bsroiaadn,
Here is the award that you've earned for finding my secret page! User:Selfworm/HiddenLinkAward Good job! selfwormTalk) 00:50, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Sometimes, my silliness gets the best of me. However, my North American/Non-North American hockey pages diacritics idea here brought out the worst of me. I thought we agreed (by majority) to remove 'all' diacritics from North American hockey pages (while keeping them on Non-North American hockey pages), Djsasso and Krm500, told me I was mis-informed. Oh well, it all got too serious for me. GoodDay 00:01, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Actually, Djsasso and Krm500 are wrong. If you take a look at the bottom of this section it says "NHL-related pages: No diacritics at all", note the at all, it doesn't say for player names and Djsasso even agreed to it. I saw how the whole place name thing started, too, since I took them out in one article (Detroit Red Wings I think) and it got reverted by Krm500, then I saw the couple edits between you two and yea. I decided to just stay out of it, I've only been at WP:HOCKEY for one diacritic discussion, and I have already had enough of it. Though, this may be different, as they are wrong in this case and agreed to none at all. Really, I think we should just make it clear cut and no grey areas. North American hockey pages (excluding player pages) have no diacritics, where as international (except if they only include North American countries) have diacritics. It should be for both player names and places. And I think that would make everyone happy and is a fine compromise, this way we'd be able to get it over and done with and never bring it up again. BsroiaadnTalk 00:13, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
I've gone sour on pro-diacritic editors. It's nothing personal against Djsasso and Krm500 (indeed, I give them credit for their cooperation up to this point). I'm just tired, apparently English Wikipedia is in truth Wikipedia, mostly in English. Goodluck, if you plan to push for 'no diacritics period' on North American hockey pages. It'll be a struggle. GoodDay 00:23, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, I have nothing against them either. And thanks, I probably will make an attempt at it. I think I'm gonna plan out my side of it and everything first, though. Also, when it happens, you shouldn't feel the need to get involved. Everyone would completely understand if you didn't want to, at least the ones who have read how much you dis-like the arguing. BsroiaadnTalk 00:28, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. GoodDay 00:33, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome. BsroiaadnTalk 00:55, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
The discussion is over but since I stumbled on your talk page for something else. I thought I might mention that the section you linked to referred to the past discussions which were all just about player names and the uneasy truce we had regarding NHL pages, in your first post on the topic you did not mention you were intending both places and player names, so based on your referring to the previous discussions it would indicate that the discussion was indeed only about player names. --Djsasso 23:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

La voce dei New Jersey Devils nella Wikipedia italiana è finita

Ciao! I thought you might be interested to know that I've finished the article and I'm a quick copyedit (and making about 20 more articles...I've made at least 60 so far to eliminate red links) away from proposing it for it.wiki's version of FA. You can find it here. I have no doubts that it will pass quite easily and it should be nice to see some hockey representation on the Italian Wikipedia...one that is growing quite fast at the moment (and my contributing what will amount to being about 100 articles in the last few weeks really hasn't hurt their cause). Evviva l'hockey! Ciao ciao, JHMM13(Disc) 07:47, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Good work, man. Looks good, now I only wish I could read it. Haha. Anyway, good luck on getting it to FA on it.wiki, though I know you won't need any luck. BsroiaadnTalk 13:20, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Rape Baby

Do you mind if I ask you a question? What made you search for "Rape Baby"? lol. I'm referring to what you said on Talk:Pete Wentz. BsroiaadnTalk 23:24, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

I just finished watching an episode of House where Hugh Laurie said it several times so thought it would be funny to see what Wiki gave me for the term. :p SnareDrumKneeCaps 20:45, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh, hahaha. That's kinda funny. I wonder how many other inappropriate redirects exist on Wikipedia. BsroiaadnTalk 02:42, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry buddy but it's undisputable fact that Zeppeiln are regarded as one of the greatest and most influential band of all time.

if you try to dispute this then you sir an ignorant blind fool. Zephead999 18:50, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

*insert personal attack template here* And also, if you can find a reference for it go ahead. I don't disagree, but until it's referenced, it's not going in there. BsroiaadnTalk 18:51, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Bsroiaadn, whether i attacked you or not, my point still remains

Bsroiaadn, whether i attacked you or not, my point still remains Zephead999 18:53, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Then go and find a reference for it, like I said. I don't disagree, but it shouldn't be there if it's not referenced. BsroiaadnTalk 18:54, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't need to find a source for Led Zeppelin's staggering influence for obvious reasones

Seriously, Led Zeppelin's impact on the music industry is staggering, they are still getting a rediculous amount of praise over stuff they did eons ago. I mean to to question Led Zeppelin's populairty and influence is like asking wether or not Jesus Christ was black. You know this, and i know this. if you want to find a source then find it yourself, I don't need to because it's so obvious how influential they are, yet they are not considered influential in that article, or if they are they are then it's barely mentioned. I've seen smaller and less impactual bands like RUSH, QUEEN, etc. get more praise, that's when we know we have a problem. Zephead999 18:58, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

All of that is original research without sources. I can already tell you're going to break 3RR, so I'm going to warn you to not do it now because you will get blocked for that. BsroiaadnTalk 19:00, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Bsroiaadn, let me ask you a question.

Do you find it odd that Led Zeppelin's staggering influence is hardly mentioned in this article? And if so, would you personally accept that Led Zeppelin are easily among one of the most influential bands of all time, if you answer it with a "yes" then you yourself know how crazy it is that their influence is hardly mentioned. Zephead999 19:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Once again, I agree they are/have been very influential, but two editors agreeing on one thing is still original research unless a reliable source can be found. You could probably easily look at any music site and find them talking about them being influential, just use that as a source...and write it a little better than you are and include it in the correct place, it doesn't need a new section. BsroiaadnTalk 19:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

He's violated 3RR on My Chemical Romance (as you've seen) and soon-will (if he hasn't by the time I finish this) violate it on Led Zeppelin, so I was wondering if you've already reported him or not or if you don't intend on doing it. BsroiaadnTalk 19:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm in the process of reporting him now, and will include all 9 or so reverts. Zazaban 19:14, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Alright, thanks. BsroiaadnTalk 19:27, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Bsroiaadn, leave the RUSH article alone.

There are many instances as to why this article is biased.

First of all, it's very much accepted that Alex Lifeson is no where near one of the greatest guitarist of all time, certainly not a "master guitarist". If you don't believe so then go to the god damn RUSH message boards, shit..Alex himself would not agree to himself being a master guitarist. oh and just because a POLL says they are great, does not mean we have to include it. a biased POLL is *not* a reliable resource. shit, with that attitude I cuold go on a thousand message boards and POLL random people and they would all say led zeppelin are THE geatest band of all time, does that mean I can include it? no. I needn't argue with you anymore. Zephead999 19:29, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Just to make you aware, he has already been reported for violating 3RR here. He has done it to multiple articles already (today, alone), but has only been reported for one. BsroiaadnTalk 20:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for the heads-up. --健次(derumi)talk 20:05, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem. BsroiaadnTalk 20:08, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
He's been blocked indefinitely, just in case you didn't know by now. BsroiaadnTalk 20:30, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Rush article

A personal thanks to you for reverting the bad edits by Zepphead on the Rush article. Keep up the good fight to stop the Visigoths from sacking the Rome we call Wikipedia! Googie man 20:15, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

We should give Zephead999 (and ourselves) a break and wait about 15 minutes to see if the reports work out. We can revert the POV afterwards. --健次(derumi)talk 20:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Nevermind. I type slow. --健次(derumi)talk 20:21, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Finally, it took so long for him to get blocked. BsroiaadnTalk 20:23, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem, man. Haha. If you didn't know, he just got blocked indefinitely. BsroiaadnTalk 20:24, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

What?

You do realize that it's my own talk page...right? BsroiaadnTalk 20:41, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I'm sorry for that, but it was to late to revert my self... --de:Spongo 20:43, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem, same thing happens to me sometimes. BsroiaadnTalk 20:44, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Two in one day

*insert The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar here - For helping during the whole User:Zephead999 incident. It was a lot of work and you helped with your reversions. Thank you. BsroiaadnTalk 21:00, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Two in one day, that's pretty good. Haha. Within about 5 hours of each other, even. BsroiaadnTalk 21:00, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you so much for the barnstar. But you also helped with the vandal aswell. I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't set up another account already. Thanks again Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, he probably has. I've been checking the articles he often edited every once in a while and nothing has come up so far, maybe he learned..who knows? BsroiaadnTalk 21:08, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Or maybe all the excitment made him tired as now is his bedtime :D. I'll keep on the look out for edits shockingly similar to his for the next few days anyway. Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Hahaha, maybe. But, I have some bad news...Special:Contributions/Zubt555, it was created less than 10 minutes ago and has made edits to the same articles, though not as disruptive. BsroiaadnTalk 21:15, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it's the same guy as Zephead999 edited the Rush article replacing the page with 'RUSH SUCKS DICK!' whereas the new guy is using the talk page to discuss the article instead. I'll watch him anyway to see what he does. Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Previous to him saying that, he was constantly removing "Instrumentally, Lifeson is regarded as a master guitarist, a pioneer of electronic effects and chord structures." and talking about how John Bonham isn't "arguably the best guitarist" he just "is the best", which he's directly or indirectly doing now. He seems to be trying to talk about edits before doing them though, maybe he's learned. BsroiaadnTalk 21:23, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I hope so. I really, really hope so. But I'm going to watch him anyway, as he could be pretending to be angelic so he won't be noticed. But if he makes edits like before, he will be blocked....again. Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:27, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, I guess all we can do now is wait, watch, and hope he's turned around. BsroiaadnTalk 21:30, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I guess our little friend is back to his old ways again. Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:57, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, it's sad really. Should we just bring it up at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets? BsroiaadnTalk 22:01, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes, please, the similarity between the two is shocking. And it won't be long before he's vandalising these pages again. Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:03, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Done, see here. This is my second sock puppet report...so I hope I did it right. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 22:17, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

So what do we do about this guy as he is becoming incresingly disruptive. Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:32, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm really not sure, I assume we could always just contact the sysop that orginally blocked him rather than wait for WP:SSP which can sometimes take days. You think that may work? Maybe the sysop could block the sock puppets as well, as there's no arguing it's the same person. BsroiaadnTalk 22:34, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Better to cut this is the bud before this whole thing explodes. Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:42, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
The IP was actually just blocked. It was blocked for 31 hours and account creation can't occur with that IP because of the block user. Hopefully they won't begin making bad edits again when they are unblocked. BsroiaadnTalk 22:45, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
At least the block is something. If he continues he gets blocked again and will keep getting blocked until he gets the message right. Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:51, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Hopefully, he will learn after this block....but probably not. Sometimes, though, people can become great editors even after stuff like this. BsroiaadnTalk 22:55, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Yep, which is what I'm predicting will happen. Hmmmm...do they ever indefinitely blocked anon editors? BsroiaadnTalk 23:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I've heard IP's being blocked for a year so far, and I haven't been here very long. It probably depends on the extent of the vandalism.Angel Of Sadness T/C 15:03, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
A year? Hmmmm...they must have been repeat offenders. You haven't noticed anyone new making similar edits at those articles, have you? BsroiaadnTalk 16:15, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Not yet as I've just returned home. But I am going to have those articles especially their talk pages on my watchlist for the next while. Angel Of Sadness T/C 16:26, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Yea, same here. BsroiaadnTalk 16:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Guess who's back and in the form of User:Pie76. A number of his edits were reverted by a number of editors becuase he is a sockpuppet of Zephead. At least he is using some of the talk pages. Angel Of Sadness T/C 17:34, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Oy vey, not again. He doesn't seem to be re-adding it non-stop like he did before though. (Assuming it's a male, may not be) Is he using the talk pages properly, at least? Anyone report the sock puppetry yet? BsroiaadnTalk 17:40, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
No-one has reported it as the person who realised was an IP adress rev articless. Pie76 has been saying on the John Bonham page that "John Bonham is widely accepted as one of the greatest, influential, and respected drummers in history". And has been deleting solo stuff from the Neil Peart(rush drummer) page, comparing him to Bonham on the talk page. He hasn't edited the actual Ruch page yet but it shouldn't be long until he does. Angel Of Sadness T/C 17:46, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Actually, he made the same edits on the John Bonham article with previous accounts. See diffs: diff 1 diff 2 diff 3. I didn't realize that it was basically the same sentence that he re-added that time as he did before until just now. I'm not sure why he keeps adding it, maybe he hopes it'll slip through the cracks. BsroiaadnTalk 17:53, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Is he wanting to get caught or something? Fortunately, he is a major John Bonham/LedZep fan and hates Rush so it's extremely easy to find him in page histories. If provoked he could be back making the same edits to Rush like before and that's when we will step in with another sockpuppet report. Angel Of Sadness T/C 17:59, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, he doesn't really try to disguise himself at all. At least this username doesn't have three of the same number at the end, though. Haha. Anyway, it seems he's calmed down...hasn't made any edits in over 30 minutes...but now I'm wondering...has he given up..or just taken a break? BsroiaadnTalk 18:02, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Probably deciding his next edits so he isn't caught. Shame for him that we already know he's Zephead. Angel Of Sadness T/C 18:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Haha, he's probably going to come back all confident that he will fool us, then we'll show that he's zephead...he'll be scratching his head and wondering how we knew. BsroiaadnTalk 18:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I'd love to see the look on his face when that happens. But because of the internet, that's not currently possible. At least we can look forward to his next edits and see if our little vandal has returned. Angel Of Sadness T/C 18:11, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
That would be great if we could see the look on his face, haha. But oh well, which article do you think he'll edit first when he returns? BsroiaadnTalk 18:17, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Probably John Bonham(again) so he won't get caught but I wouldn't be surprised if he went ahead and started going mental on the Rush talk page. Angel Of Sadness T/C 18:19, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Yea, probably. I wonder why he hates Rush so much. BsroiaadnTalk 18:36, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I wonder that too but he seems to be the only editor who is like this. I would ask only I don't want to let on that I know he's Zephead. Maybe we'll find out in the end if it ever ends. Angel Of Sadness T/C 18:41, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Maybe, I hope so. He still hasn't started editing again yet. BsroiaadnTalk 18:56, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Looking at his currrent edit history he won't be on-line til about one/five in the morning. I'm guessing so this is how he won't be caught by us. Angel Of Sadness T/C 19:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmmmmm...I wonder if he's doing it to avoid us...or just because that's when he's awake most of the time. Also, if you don't mind me asking because I have no idea, do you need a passport or anything to travel between countries in Europe? The way they say it on some shows (like the ones on Court TV, but I don't know if you have that...they basically go over past murders and how they figured it out and all that...it's pretty interesting) it seems like you don't need one. I want to go to different places in Europe at some point in my life, so I'm wondering. BsroiaadnTalk 19:15, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
They got rid of a lot of the borders(where they ask for passports) in Western Europe in the last few years. Probably because of the Euro and whatnot. When travelling by car/foot between countries you don't need one. But by plane/boat you do. Angel Of Sadness T/C 19:21, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Our little friend is on-line now. Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
About how much does a normal meal and night in a hotel room cost? And it seems he's not being very civil...not that I'm surprised. BsroiaadnTalk 20:12, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, in Ireland that stuff is a complete ripoff (I know ,I live there :D), but in Western Europe hotels are fairly reasonable same goes for food. Might be able to get a good meal for 15 euros which is about 18 dollars. I don't really know about hotels as I go camping which is a lot cheaper and more fun :D Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:19, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Ahhhh, I see. Why is Ireland more expensive, though? Any reason? BsroiaadnTalk 20:30, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
It's because of that there was a resession in the early 1990's and the Celtic Tiger which followed. Because of the CT unemployment levels dropped as the country got richer and as the country got richer prices increased. Many people give out about the high prices and yet nothing is done about it. That's why Ireland is dubbed by many Irish as "Rip off Ireland". Sure a can of cola ten years ago cost 50cents. Nowdays you'd be lucky if your could get a can for 1.30. Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:36, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
He's starting to attack User:Bucketheader because he reverted his edits on John Bonham. I guess we have to be careful with our reversions on those articles now, eh?Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmmmm...well, that's a pretty big increase in price for a can of soda. And is he really? And I don't know, I have a feeling he already doesn't like me, so I don't care that much. lol. This is a pretty thick-headed editor, though, apparently. It seems no matter how many times he's blocked, he'll just keep coming back. BsroiaadnTalk 20:45, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I know prices in Ireland are ridiculous. And Pie/Zephead said this on Bucketheader's talk page " == stop fucking around with Bonham's article. ==Take your head out of your ass and know that Bonham IS widely accepted as one of the greatest, influential, and respected drummers in history. Seriously if u don't know this then don't even talk about rock music, he is constantly hailed as one of the best in videos, magazines, you name it." Chances are he will continue to get more and more vicious until he gets his way. Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:56, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
It seems he is trying to incite arguments. You think he may be a bit of a troll? BsroiaadnTalk 21:06, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Definately he tries to do that on various article talk pages like Guns'n'Roses and of course John Bonham. He's no good and hasn't actually made any constructive contributions to wikipedia. He just critizes the work of others. Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:09, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
And now that an editor finally let it stay, he keeps removing the {{fact}} tag. Ugh, he's going to end up getting blocked, even if it's not because it's a sockpuppet, he'll get blocked just based on his edits on this account, seriously. BsroiaadnTalk 23:59, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

He'll be blocked for trolling on numerous articles and for harassing Bucketheader. Angel Of Sadness T/C 11:06, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, looking at his talk page, he's apparently been uncivil towards many editors with this account alone. BsroiaadnTalk 19:35, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I see what you mean, he'll probably get blocked on his own without us adding that he is a sockpuppet. Also seeing as he broke the 3RR on John Bonham(rev at least 4 times about the guy being the greatest) I gave him a warning about it. He breaks that again and he'll be blocked for sure. Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Take a look at what he left on my talk page [1]. He's getting hostile/disruptive over this [2]. And just when I thought he might have changed. Angel Of Sadness T/C 21:41, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I wonder how this guy deals with people in real-life. Do you think he does it the same way? BsroiaadnTalk 22:08, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
He could be really nice to the people he's knows but is extremely uncivil to us as he knows he will never meet any of us face to face. I really hope I never meet him outside wikipedia. Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:26, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, probably. Haha, what would you do if you saw him outside of Wikipedia? BsroiaadnTalk 22:30, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I would probably run for the hills and get the next plane out of the country :D Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Hahahaha. Too bad we don't know what he looks like so we could avoid him, eh? BsroiaadnTalk 22:35, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Well seeing as he's an insane LedZep fan, I'll run from any person wearing a LedZep t-shirt Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:56, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Breaking news: he's been reported (not by me) and will be blocked soon enough. Happy day Angel Of Sadness T/C 22:58, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, run from anyone with a Led Zeppelin or even a "I hate Rush" shirt. Haha. And when was he reported? Just now? For what? Being uncivil? BsroiaadnTalk 23:00, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Exactly run from all of that. The report says "On John Bonham;. user continues to place biased information in article, when the info is reverted he attacks the editor who did the reverting.. Tiptoety 22:17, 19 July 2007 (UTC)" Here is just the best message ever:[3] Angel Of Sadness T/C 23:03, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Hahahaha, that is a pretty good message...I like the one below it even more though. lol. The only bad part, he was only blocked for 24 hours. BsroiaadnTalk 23:13, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
At least it's something so we don't have to worry about him in the next day. Hopefully he won't return as someone else. Anyway, If he keeps up his behaviour he'll keep getting blocked. Thank whoever came up with blocking users. Angel Of Sadness T/C 23:17, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmmm...that makes me wonder...when do you think the first person was ever blocked from editing Wikipedia? Any way to find out? BsroiaadnTalk 04:41, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Maybe research the history of blocking? Angel Of Sadness T/C 12:21, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Look who I found User:71.123.8.97 on Talk:John Bonham, idolizing John&LedZep and bad-mouthing Rush about how "Rush are never on the radio and LedZep are". Angel Of Sadness T/C 13:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
I guess I could research the history of blocked, but it may take a while to find it. And jeez, how many personal attacks has he made already? At least three, right? BsroiaadnTalk 17:49, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
He made two lovely personal attacks on my talk page which is one of the reasons of why he got blocked. And that's just me. Here's how many attacks he has made:

[4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] So by the looks of it, it's nine personal attacks as Pie. Although while looking through his contribution history I found out he's not really the true tough rocker as he makes out to be as he was contributing to the Talk:Black Eyed Peas page. Odd, I know Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Hahahahaha. I have nothing against Black Eyed Peas, in fact some of their songs I kinda like, but it is pretty odd for a person that loves Led Zeppelin so much to like Black Eyed Peas as well. He hasn't made any personal attacks as his current IP, though? BsroiaadnTalk 23:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

I have nothing against them either. I actually have two of their albums in my CD collection. But I don't exactly contribute to the BEP article. I only really contribute to articles about bands that I know a lot about. Like My Top 3 favourite bands and maybe a few TV show articles. But that's it. He must be a closet fan of the BEP's or something. But some people are like that, they say they hate a band when really they like them/love them/totally obsessed by them. Surprisingly he hasn't made personal attacks. All he did said was that "arguably" is an opinion. He also said "A Neil Peart fan should not take offense as neither should fans of Aynsley Dunbar, Carmine Appice or Ginger Baker." This being on the Talk: John Bonham article. I just remembered that his day block on his account is up already. Better be on the look ouy for him as Pie. Angel Of Sadness T/C 23:16, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Sorry it took me a while to respond, I was busy all weekend. Anyway, has he made any more personal attacks or anything (that you know of) since his block was lifted? BsroiaadnTalk 18:26, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
I haven't seen him editing in a few days. Angel Of Sadness T/C 18:33, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Unless you count this. Guess who says they're going to be celebrity? It gets more and more interesting if you keep pressing newer edit. :D Angel Of Sadness T/C 18:45, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh my god, that's hilarious. Hahahaha, I wonder if he seriously thinks he's going to be a celebrity or not. BsroiaadnTalk 20:13, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Famous for being the most annoying editor on wikipedia? Angel Of Sadness T/C 20:15, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Hahahah, perhaps. Have you ever used to {{Editprotected}} template? If so, how long did it usually take for them to edit the page. I used it for the second time ever, today, and it's been 3 hours and still nothing. BsroiaadnTalk 01:49, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello there, can you please have Derumi banned?

He has been reverting my edits without reason. He insists that John Bonham should be left at 'arguably". Which in actuallity every drummer, singer, guitarist, bassist, you name it could be questioned in terms of their prowess. So unless you put "arguably" on every other musician who is held on high regard, we SHOULD have this left in. Now I openly said on his talk page that we can discuss why he thinks it should be left in but he refuses to, THAT right there is vandalism, you yourself knows this and if you STILL refuse to, then I'll contact the creator of Wikipedia and have this sorted out between me and him, you would not want that ot happen, would you? 71.182.85.70 22:21, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

No, they've done it with good reason. You should talk before making edits as you've learned with your past two accounts. I've reported you for sock puppetry, please look here. BsroiaadnTalk 22:23, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Is it just me?

Or do we see each other's usernames more often outside of WP:HOCKEY than we do inside it? lol. Maybe you haven't noticed, but it seems that way to me. BsroiaadnTalk 22:47, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Lol, it happens. :). Hockey keeps us all together though. Oh, and go Avalanche ;). Jmlk17 22:51, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Haha, I guess so. I just want the new season to start already, it seems like it takes longer and longer every year, though I know it doesn't. lol. And also, let's go Devils! :-P Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 23:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
I know! It's only about 2 months until pre-season though; so it's not that bad anymore. I'm really enjoying the off-season moves (especially for my beloved Avs lol). But I like how the league is shaking it all up player-wise so far. It should be another great season! Jmlk17 23:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
It should be a good season, but I don't like the Devils moves. Haha. Losing Brian Rafalski, Scott Clemmensen, and Scott Gomez (though Gomez was grossly overpaid by the Rangers), and gaining Dainius Zubrus (whom I've heard isn't bad but isn't great), Kevin Weekes (whom doesn't look too good, stat-wise), Karel Rachunek, and Vitaly Vishnevski. It doesn't seem we've upgraded much during this off-season, thus far. Though we do have some promising young athletes such as Zach Parise, so this could be a very good season. The Devils have lost a lot of talent before and still played well, this season probably won't be any different. BsroiaadnTalk 23:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
It's just a lot of players moving around right now. And it's not really seemingly for much of a purpose in some cases (in my opinion). For instance, I don't get why Bertuzzi signed with Anaheim (I think the Wings still have a better chance than Anaheim...those bastards). lol. Jmlk17 04:58, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm going to re-start the conversation here since it has been archived. Anyway, why did Bertuzzi sign with Anaheim? Probably because they just won the Stanley Cup and he figures they may repeat. Though I'm not sure how well the Ducks are going to do this season, depending on if certain players decide to retire or not (which I've heard Niedermayer is definitely going to do, not sure about Selanne). Most teams have seemed to neither improved nor worsen. Flyers may have improved a bit after posting a horrible record this past season, not that I mind the Flyers being a bad team....but the rivalry (Devils-Flyers rivalry) is much more exciting when one team isn't doing badly. Haha. BsroiaadnTalk 17:20, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Eh, I like the moves personally. I'm not a fan of Bertuzzi (essentially stemming from his attempt to kill Steve Moore a few years ago and got away clean), but he is not that bad of a player still. He just wants a Cup, and seems to think Anaheim has the best chance for this coming season. The Flyers improved drastically, but I think the true powerhouse in the East in going to be the Rangers. I mean, Lundqvist is a great goalie, still up and coming, and they made it to the semi's last year with the squad they had. Then they went and signed Gomez and Drury...just enough power to boost them into the Eastern Elite, in my opinion. But hey, the West in always the best ;). Jmlk17 17:56, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, keep forgetting to check here. Haha. Anyway, I'm skeptical about how well Gomez will do this year, the last time a Devils went to the Rangers (Bobby Holik a couple years ago) he ended up doing pretty badly. The Rangers will definitely be one of the teams to beat this year, but I have confidence in the Devils getting over the hurdle of losing Gomez, just like they've done when they lost Scott Niedermayer. Rafalski is the one I actually think they may have trouble getting over, but we'll see. If the Devil's didn't pass every time they had a good goal opportunity, maybe they'd score more, that's one thing that gets me angry...they sit there for 5 minutes in the other teams end...just passing...then they wonder why it gets taken away. They really need to start looking for a new goalie, though...Martin Brodeur is starting to get up there...he already plays way more games than other goalies do, he's going to get worn out before most would, probably. The Rangers have another thing going for them, too....Sean Avery, some people hate him so much that they focus more on hurting him than they do on the actual game...that can be a big asset. That's one thing more teams need, a player like Sean Avery or Scott Stevens, a player you love to play with...but hate to play against. And the West is the best? Puh-lease, the East would beat the West so badly if the right players are picked. :-P BsroiaadnTalk 23:37, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

fact

Please don't remove the {{fact}} tag from your POV statement on John Bonham, thanks. BsroiaadnTalk 23:59, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Sorry buddy but that IS a fact Look you and I both know there there are bigger claims on wikipedia that is unsourced, but the fact that he is widely accepted as one of the greatest drummers of all time IS a fact. go on chat rooms, message boards, read magazines, watch music DVD's, whatever you want, it's all there. now don't edit that article again or i'll contact the wikipedia admin and have your ass perma banned, IS that understood? Pie76 00:45, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh really? Go to an admin saying that you "want my ass perma banned", and he won't take you seriously. BsroiaadnTalk 00:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Also, don't revert it again, or else you'll be in violation of the Three-revert rule. BsroiaadnTalk 00:50, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Please read WP:CIVIL and WP:OWN. Your comments are more likely to cause you more trouble than Bsroiaadn would face if you "go to an admin to get his ass perma banned." Resolute 00:59, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Hahaha, thanks man. This guy has been blocked (on multiple accounts) so many times, I don't know why he bothers. During this past week alone it's been about 2 accounts that have been indefinitely blocked. I would report him right now, but I'm waiting for him to edit Rush again so I have more solid proof than the just John Bonham article. Though if he doesn't do it soon I might just go ahead and do it anyway. BsroiaadnTalk 01:03, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Sorry man, but my point still remains Pie76 01:04, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Why do you have such a problem with leaving those tags? We let you add it, even though it doesn't go along with NPOV, and now you can't be ok with that? If you aren't ok with the tags being there, remove the sentences. After this point people will accuse you of vandalism, even though you have been doing vandalism every time you remove those tags. If you're such a big Led Zeppelin fan (I'm assuming that by your edits to John Bonham, I'm sure you can positively contribute to the Led Zeppelin article without causing trouble or violating the NPOV policy. Why not do that? You may even get it to be a featured article. BsroiaadnTalk 01:15, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

NJD task force

What do you think about it? Maybe it's just me thinking it may help the New Jersey Devils-related articles (without taking away from WP:HOCKEY obviously), but I think there's enough Devils fans to make this a worth-while project. Does it sound like a good idea to you or no? BsroiaadnTalk 06:14, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

But, ofcourse, before making it it'd have to be brought up at WikiProject Ice Hockey, I just figured I'd ask another Devils fan if it's worth it or not, first. BsroiaadnTalk 06:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
I think it would definitely be an interesting idea; there are several team task forces on the NFL Project that I know of (though they call them subprojects). I'm thinking you, me, Sportskido8, and a few others would make up a decent-sized chunk of the task force. Well you can count me in. I think our first project should be to make articles based on all the seasons. Even if they're stubs, at least make the articles so that the New Jersey Devils seasons doesn't have any redlinks in it, and then submit that to FL. And once the articles are created, I can finish up the draft history page I'm working on in my sandbox, and we can make THAT a FL. Then we go for featured topic status. Then who knows? But that's my suggestion for our plan of attack, if we so choose to create this force. Anthony Hit me up... 12:22, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Alright, cool. Well, I brought it up at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey#Two things, along with my new version of the {{ice hockey}} template which I personally think is better, it's not a major change but still better. And I doubt anyone will be against the task force, but it's supposed to be brought up anyway. BsroiaadnTalk 15:03, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Any updates on whether we're a go for the task force? I haven't seen any movement on the Project page in a while, and I was wondering what you were up to. I've been so busy with stuff lately I've barely had an opportunity to edit. My last worthy contribution was like a week or two ago, but hopefully I'll work on creating a few more season pages (which I think should be our first priority of the task force, like I said above). Anthony Hit me up... 13:37, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Sorry it took me so long, I was busy most of the weekend. Anyway, the New Jersey Devils task force has been created. Please add your name to the list of participants and make any other changes to the page that you'd like to do, I threw it up quickly cause I have to go finish something else soon. I'm probably gonna be kinda busy for the next couple days, unfortunately. BsroiaadnTalk 19:18, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Sweden task force

Would you mind renaming it "Sweden Ice Hockey task force"? If you'd rather not, we could just redirect Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Sweden Ice Hockey task force to Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Sweden task force...I just think it would be better to keep it consistent with the task force categories. I'm back (sorta)

I've revived the North American hockey related pages no diacritics thing again. After a few' weeks of cooling off, I've chosen to re-enter the fray (however, I'm still not editing around the 'place names' until things are settled). The lack of reversion of my 'no diacritics' edits at the 30 NHL team pages (concerning birth places), recharged my batteries and my hopes for consistancy. I sure hope Djsasso & Krm500, don't consider me a languistic bigot (a diacritics hater), 'cause I'm not. GoodDay 17:52, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Yea, I was like "Oh, he's back" when I saw your discussion, haha. Anyway, I know you're not a "linguistic bigot", and I don't think Krm500 and Djsasso think you are either, they just think diacritics should be included. Though I'm not sure why they aren't ok with the none-on-North-American-pages compromise, I think it's a fair compromise. Krm500 says he isn't going to continue discussing it, he's probably frustrated with the whole situation. Hopefully this problem will be resolved by the time hockey season rolls around. BsroiaadnTalk 19:45, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I think it'll be resolved by then. It just takes time (to iron things out) and patients (which I've regained). Anyway, here's hoping. GoodDay 19:50, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Yea, I guess so. Anyway, in the mean time, I've gotten pretty interested in editing templates (in case you haven't seen the new parameters for {{ice hockey}} I added all of the new ones (which is everything except "class"). Well, not me myself...an sysop did...but I wrote it...anyway, can you think of anything else that would be worth adding to the template? BsroiaadnTalk 19:58, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Ice Hockey Template

It looks good to me, I can't think of anything else to add to it. GoodDay 20:05, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Hmmmm...ok. I'm almost searching for things to add, but I don't want to add anything that wouldn't be userful (whether it be now or in the future, as the peer review thing isn't very useful now...but may be soon), that's how interested I am in editing templates right now. Haha. Oh well, I'll find something else to edit.....maybe get some rest...pretty tired. BsroiaadnTalk 20:13, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Just wondering

If you don't mind me asking, why would you rather live in New Jersey? Haha. I saw it in one of your userboxes. BsroiaadnTalk 02:43, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

I got burned again. One editor, just one, refuses to accept the 'majority' opinon or what's on the 30 NHL team official websites. And, he accuses me of being a 'control freak' of sorts. Hope he doesn't start demanding 'diacritics' on the 'templates'. GoodDay 20:44, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I've been a little busy lately. Anyway, I'm not sure why he's not willing to let it go and just agree to a compromise, that's the whole point of a compromise, both sides get at least part of what they want. He gets diacritics on ALL non-North American pages and player pages, and the rest get no diacritics at all on North American pages. I'm not sure why he doesn't think that's fair. Any other major developments at WP:HOCKEY lately? Like I said, I've been too busy to check, this is even my first edit this whole week. BsroiaadnTalk 00:33, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Article Improvement

By Maxim

Upon some discussion on the WikiProject talk page, the Article Improvement Drive page was revamped by Krm500 and Maxim. It was renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Article Improvement, and it includes two section. The first section is called articles in dire need of improvement. It list articles, usually important, that are in very poor shape. The second section is called requested help. Users list an article they request help improving a certain article, which will facilitate collaboration, which is the aim of any WikiProject. There is one article currently listed there, Henrik Lundqvist, here. The goal is to at least get it to Good article status.

Diacritics

By Maxim

In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt.

Task forces

By Maxim
There have been two new task forces started within the WikiProject to coordinate major topics.

Sweden Ice Hockey task force

This task force was initiated by Krm500. Its current goal is to improve Henrik Lundqvist to Good or Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES.

New Jersey Devils task force

This task force was initiated by Bsroiaadn. Its goal is to improve New Jersey Devils to Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock.

Requested Images

By Maxim
After discussion on the WikiProject talk page, Serte created a page for Requested Images. The page encourages users to license images for use on articles. The page also has section to request images for players, arenas, game situations, miscellaneous, and team and league logos. The page has been quite popular; since it was created on July 21, there have been six completed requests. There are four currently outstanding requests:

Article assessement completed

By Maxim
On July 12, Kaiser matias announced that he had completed assessing all the articles with a {{ice hockey}} tag, sorting them into Category:Unassessed Ice Hockey articles. Kaiser matias has ranked about 9000 articles in that category, and most were stubs, and "have no information at all", according to him. Everybody is encouraged to expand the stubs into real articles. This effort took around 5 months. A big thanks goes to Kaiser matias from me and all the project.

As you may or may not know, some of us at WP:HOCKEY have banded together and are trying to get the various NHL Trophy pages to FT status. It is a big job and any assistance you would be willing to offer would be most appreciated. You can find out more here. Thanks for the time, Scorpion0422 21:27, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of Eric Wright Jr.

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Eric Wright Jr., by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Eric Wright Jr. is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Eric Wright Jr., please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
