Hi BrianboultonIn case you didn't know, I have nominated "S&M" for FAC once again. It is the tenth nomination. I have collaborated with the co-nominator on the article, and it has been through a Peer Review, of which several people who are experienced with the process gave help. As you opposed my fourth nomination, I would appreciate it if you would re-read the article and give your opinion on how you feel about the article now over at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/S&M (song)/archive10. Thank you. — AARON • TALK 10:29, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
The RiteLook for it here (pictured, will keep it even longer on my user, I saw that performance) and here, for motion ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:10, 1 August 2013 (UTC) Hey Brian! How are you? I hope you are doing fine. I was wondering, could you please do the source spotcheck on the FAC for me? Thank you and cheers. — Tomíca(T2ME) 13:38, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

"Edit source"First, they changed the position of the edit button from the right of the page to the left. That might have been a sensible idea. Now they have renamed the button "edit source"; that is not a good idea. Is there likely to be anyone who didn't know what the "edit" button was for, and will know now that it's been renamed? This is change for change's sake; the new button is larger, uglier and more intrusive than its predecessor, without offering any obvious benefit. Change it back, I say. Change it back. Brianboulton (talk) 19:15, 2 August 2013 (UTC) Away for a few daysI won't be editing for a few days. Apologies to those still waiting for their reviews. I should be back by the middle of next week. Brianboulton (talk) 00:05, 4 August 2013 (UTC) Main Page appearance: George LansburyThis is a note to let the main editors of George Lansbury know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on August 15, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or one of his delegates (Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), Gimmetoo (talk · contribs), and Bencherlite (talk · contribs)), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/August 15, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Diary of a NobodyHello, BB. Before I support at FAC, is there no information whatever about the composition of the Diary -- how and when the brothers worked, who had the original concept, and how they moved from concept to publication? Also, in your FAC nomination paragraph, you might note that the diary is a work of fiction or that Pooter is a fictional character. -- Ssilvers (talk) 22:53, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!
I have now re-nominated this for FLC and you kindly said to inform you when I do. Dudley Miles (talk) 17:00, 11 August 2013 (UTC) Peer reviewHi. You're invited to participate in a peer review for the Mughal-e-Azam article at Wikipedia:Peer review/Mughal-e-Azam/archive1. I hope that constructive input from several people can better prepare it for FAC. It probably needs several pairs of eyes who don't know much about Indian film to comment on as much as it needs experts to comment..♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 21:59, 11 August 2013 (UTC) Thanks, Brianboulton!Hello, Brianboulton. Review helpHi Brian! I haven't spoken with you in a while. I hope everything's fine with you. I was just wondering if you could take a look at Wikipedia:Peer review/Harry Glicken/archive1? It's a short little article, and I think one with a far more positive tone than previous volcano victim ones I've done. Of course, I'd love to help you out and look at anything you're developing. Again, I hope everything is well. ceranthor 04:42, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
Wehwalt and I are done with your comments. Ready for the final run through you mentioned. Many thanks! PumpkinSky talk 09:58, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

August 2013Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Symphony No. 8 (Sibelius) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

I started this article from scratch and got too excited when it got GA status that i nominated it for FA without forgoing a peer review :s I'm a bit disadvantaged cos English is not my native language and god knows how hard i've tried to get better at writing here but apparently I'm always messing up as you can see here and as one reluctant reviewer said: "there are still areas that could be improved ... prose could be improved..." and I have no clue where to start because getting the article to where it is now was enough of a headache. If you can be kind enough to scan the article for obvious and deadly prose mistakes i'd be very greatful and i think the subject will be of interest to you since you are into ME history... many thanks -Eli+ 19:05, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Thankyou :) -Eli+ 04:43, 20 August 2013 (UTC) Hello Brian, I asked Ian to close the FAC discussion because it was leading nowhere and I listed the article for peer review in the history section. Please help whenever you are free or point me to someone who can be of assistance and who likes classical antiquity stuff. thanks a lot -Eli+ 12:46, 22 August 2013 (UTC) Thanks, Brianboulton!I look forward to your input on the Sarnia FAC nomination. If I succeed, it's all because of you leading me in the right direction...:) Talk again soon. There can be only one...TheKurgan (talk) 17:14, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Hi, Brianboulton. Only one person has commented on the Sarnia FAC nomination page in any meaningful way, and he opposes it for prose issues. I ran the entire article through www.readability-score.com, and it shows up at grade level 11-12. He also mentioned a 2-week limit. What's with that? I don't remember reading about that, but, then again, I may just have missed it. Let me know what you think! There can be only one...TheKurgan (talk) 21:37, 1 September 2013 (UTC) I mentioned the opera on WP:TFAR. SlimVirgin (talk) 01:38, 26 August 2013 (UTC) Rhodesians in WW1Hi Brian, I am just dropping a note to let you know that the article detailing Southern Rhodesian involvement in World War I is now at FAC here. If you are interested and have a little spare time, your thoughts would as always be very welcome. I hope you are well. Congratulations so far on the really very good Symphony No. 8 article, which I intend to come around to at some point. —Cliftonian (talk) 03:51, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 27Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Michael Tippett, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Crystal Palace (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Just in case you're interested, I have put this article up for a pre-FAC peer review here. It's not ready for FAC yet as I want to replace some sources with better ones and although it's had quite a bit of copyediting since it got to GA status, it could probably do with some more. Any feedback welcome. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:07, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
Hey Brian! How are you? Do you have some spare time to use for me? If you, can you do the source review on the song's FAC? [It has so much less references than "Diamonds" lol] Thank you. — Tomíca(T2ME) 10:39, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
