Disambiguation link notification for October 2Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Loss of MV Darlwyne, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Transom (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Peer review for Mullá HusaynHey, I'm trying to get some feedback on Mullá Husayn, it's the first article I've worked on substantially in a long time, and as someone really familiar with the subject matter it's hard to see where I'm skimming, going into too much detail or not being NPOV enough. You are listed as a history peer review volunteer and look like you have a lot of relevant experience. If you have the time to give it a readover and share some thoughts, I'd be much obliged. penultimate_supper (talk) 17:01, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

BWV 80Brian, you are often cited, having asked me (BWV 4) to settle disagreements with Francis Schonken early. We have some on Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott, BWV 80 (peer review), - would you (or others) have time to take a look. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:12, 24 October 2017 (UTC) Elcor, MinnesotaHello, Brianboulton! Thank you for your initial FAC review of Elcor, Minnesota. Per your recommendations, I have expanded the lead section, removed redundant citations, moved appropriate citations to the end of paragraphs, and added the page numbers for the newspaper sources without online links. I have also edited the citations you questioned to read correctly, with the exception of the one added by Sporkbot. I have been working to license the images used in the article more appropriately, for which I would also like your feedback, but am still working on sourcing the last one (File:Copy_of_Elcor_Townsite_Plat.jpg) to which I expect to find a successful outcome shortly. I would really appreciate it if you could return to the article, complete reviewing and spot checking the sources (I would appreciate your suggestions as to handle the citation added by Sporkbot) as well as your feedback regarding the citations of the transcribed oral histories, and to provide a more complete review of the article so that I can move forward with other changes you or other reviewers may deem necessary. I gather from your user page that you are semi-retired, so I apologize if this request impinges on something more important. Best Regards DrGregMN (talk) 02:04, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
Elizabeth DavidHi Brian, Tim and I have been working on Elizabeth David recently, and have now opened a peer review for comments, in advance of a possible run at FAC. Should you have time and inclination, your thoughts and comments would be most welcome. Cheers – SchroCat (talk) 11:30, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

Valley View (Romney, West Virginia)Brianboulton, I've further addressed your concerns with the early timeline for Valley View (Romney, West Virginia) and left you additional comments on its talk page. Would you please be able to review this article to ensure I have fully addressed your concerns. Please take a fresh look at the article and let me know if you see any other issues that need to be addressed in the meantime. Final Destination 3Hello Brian, hope you are doing well. I was wondering if you could tell me whether there's anything else that you want me to check regarding the references of Final Destination 3. PanagiotisZois (talk) 20:48, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
Dear Brian, I'm around with the begging bowl again. I know you've been rather busy on the reviewing front of late, so will understand completely if you're not so minded, but if you did have the time and inclination, Cragside is up for PR here, Wikipedia:Peer review/Cragside/archive1. It's a rather interesting house, with a rather interesting owner, and it would benefit greatly from your input. With all best wishes. KJP1 (talk) 07:27, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Tom Driberg 1930s.jpgThanks for uploading File:Tom Driberg 1930s.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:24, 17 November 2017 (UTC) Note to self: The bot is talking rot. The image is not orphaned – it is the lead image on Tom Driberg. Any attempt to delete it will be resisted by the full forces of my armoury. Bot beware! Brianboulton (talk) 20:25, 17 November 2017 (UTC) Valley View FACGood day Brianboulton! I wanted to touch base and let you know that I have re-nominated Valley View (Romney, West Virginia) for an FAC review at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Valley View (Romney, West Virginia)/archive2. Der 100. PsalmThank you for valuable comments to improve Der 100. Psalm, now promoted to FA on the day it was mentioned on the Main page! - We can work on the refs wherever you like, such as article talk. I am not sure I understood it all, "work" vs "website" for example, please clarify. I confess that I was less careful for sources supporting only a single fact (such as a concert, a piece of music, a recording) than for those supporting the prose. I gave one example in the FAC, not realising that it was closed until afterwards. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:54, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
I am importuning close colleagues to look in, if they are inclined, at the peer review for Arthur Sullivan. Ssilvers and I are planning to take the article to FAC, and if you are inclined to look in at the peer review and give us your comments, it will be esteemed a favour. – Tim riley talk 22:51, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
Possibility of providing your input on a Peer Review for Regine Velasquez's entryHi Brian, I'm writing to ask whether you would consider having a look at the article. I'm aware that you've been involved with a few PRs before. I've given it a major rewrite and complete overhaul. I began working on the article late October when it looked like this and somehow ended up rewriting the whole thing and aiming for potentially FA. This isn't a process I've been through before, but I have been reading the reviews here in preparation, and am familiar with FAC demands. I would very much appreciate a fresh set of eyes and happily address any concerns you may have. Thanks! Pseud 14 (talk) 05:36, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
ArbCom 2017 election voter messageHello, Brianboulton. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. George LansburyHello Brian, I noticed the George Lansbury article via its mention in your Signpost interview. Here is some trivia you may not be aware of. The current Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull is somehow related to George. Turnbull's mother was Coral Lansbury who was a cousin of Angela, Bruce and Edgar. (Turnbull's article included a family tree, until 11 Nov when it was removed.) Not trivia, the John Murray MacDonald red link - it is same fellow as John Macdonald (British politician)? Thank you for the interview which I enjoyed reading. Regards JennyOz (talk) 05:49, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
Dear Brian, the PR for the above, to which you kindly contributed, is now closed and the FAC opened. If you have the time and inclination, your further comments would be greatly appreciated. If you don't, of course, we'll quite understand. Sorry not to have seen you last night, but think you were wise to stay at home. Memories of my recent twelve hour round trip in the snow to Cardiff are still vivid. Thanks and best regards. KJP1 (talk) 16:23, 13 December 2017 (UTC) Sullivan againAs no good deed goes unpunished, we are alerting everyone who was kind enough to contribute to the peer review on Sullivan that Ssilvers and I now have the article up for FAC. Revival source reviewHi Brian, You had some questions about the sources on Revival (comics) last week. Hopefully my responses allay your concerns. Thanks, Argento Surfer (talk) 17:15, 14 December 2017 (UTC) Sasuke UchihaRemember me? I'm the user who tried to make Yu Kanda into a FA but declined due to your advice in the peer review. However, me, a fellow editor with good knowledge of English and an anon have been thinking about what the GA Sasuke Uchiha needs in order to become FA using Naruto Uzumaki as a model since both articles possess a lot of real world information. I have been editing this article since mid 2017. As a result, I have asked for a second copyedit of the article. You can read the discussion at User talk:122.108.141.214#Interested in making Sasuke Uchiha FA?. We are also planning to do a peer review if necessary too. Nikkimaria has also undertaken an Image review. If you were able to undertake a Sources review, that would be extremely helpful. But I see you've recently committed to two huge pieces of work, so absolutely no problem if you don't have the time. I shall simply put it in the queue. Thanks and all best wishes. Christmas GreetingsBrian, I'm quite hopeless at these Wikipedia messages, so am not able to return the favour. But many thanks indeed for the card and felicitations. I'm quite sure, for myself, that this place is still worth contributing to. Trials aplenty, but these are more than outweighed by the collaborations that occur, the interest that can be sparked by others' contributions, the quality of the articles that can be produced, and the friendships that can result. With all best wishes to you. KJP1 (talk) 21:12, 18 December 2017 (UTC) Auguri
