Re: Dota 2 protection statusAh, I actually wrote a protection comment, but placed it in the wrong field (the protection page has changed quite a bit since I was active). Essentially, I thought I'd leave it unprotected unless another round of persistent vandalism begins; Stradivarius protected it in late May, so it is rather unlikely that group of people are still active. I'm generally disinclined to protect pages indefinitely, it tends to be unnecessary in the vast majority of cases. Has someone started reviewing your article yet? I might have time to do so later this week if you'd like me to take a look. Great work on the article by the way, it's come a long way. =) · Andonic contact 20:57, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
Yup, saw that. Everything so far looks pretty good, I don't really care if things are marked as done or not, for the most part I think we're on the same page either way. I should have time to finish the Development section tomorrow. · Andonic contact 22:49, 2 November 2013 (UTC) Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Dota 2 you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 19:32, 18 October 2013 (UTC) SteamI've looked over the Steam article and upgraded it to B-class; it looks pretty good and is not far from GA in its current state. I made a few proofing edits as well. Here are some suggestions for shepherding it through GAN if you feel so inclined:

If it is the latter, it is not a free image, and given that the beta machines are due out soon, it can soon be replaced with a free image, so it would have to be removed + deleted. --MASEM (t) 19:34, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Re: Very good reasoningDarthBotto, I must give you my utmost appreciation for your kind acknowledgement on my usertalk page especially considering we have not always seen eye to eye, we are two individuals with very strong opinions. =) But yea, I would definitely concur with your point that some page protection is definitely in order, especially given the nature of Beyond My Ken's communication. This user—who I've had no personal hostilities with but have noticed at a distance as just intensely biting other editor's heads off out of nowhere—really needed to take a chill pill so I gave him a warning. I feel more comfortable that I have another experienced editor's [you] input. Thank you and happy editing! AmericanDad86 (talk) 21:41, 21 November 2013 (UTC) The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar

Your requestI started to look at the issue, but I know nothing about any of this, and it's complicated. Plus I'm weary. Wouldn't it be easier and make more sense to go to Kww who's much more familiar with the history? And shouldn't you be preparing for turkey? :-) --Bbb23 (talk) 01:56, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
GANHeh, sorry for going AWOL again... I actually have had the page open for editing in my browser for two weeks, but I'm studying for finals at the moment. I'm transferring universities next year, really need to do well right now for that to work out. My last exam is next Thursday, so I'll probably pick up the slack Friday or Saturday. I definitely bit off more than I could chew by offering to peer review/copyedit Dota 2, and I am very sorry for that--I hope that the end result is sufficiently good to make up for how long it's taking to get there. · Andonic contact 22:05, 30 November 2013 (UTC) Your request at WP:RFP/AJust wanted to leave a note of praise for your work on the project and an additional note to not be put down by Hasteur's comments there. Sometimes, some editors seem to be abrasive in their words, without intending to be so. Also, I don't think there's any issue with your user name. In all, keep making great articles for the project, and write to me directly when you reach close to or around 50; and I'll grant you the autopatrolled right. If there's anything you need assistance in, feel free to drop by my talk page. Best. Wifione Message 16:29, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanksfor your work at HD 106906 b. The nomination at ITN is ready to go, but the link to List_of_exoplanet_extremes#Orbit_characteristics in the blurb is problematic because HD 106906 b is not yet listed there. Would you be willing to add the appropriate entry for the planet into the appropriate chart? I don't feel competent myself to do this. Thanks. μηδείς (talk) 21:20, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

We noticed though that when you edited Chris Terrio, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Man of Steel (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Indeed, while I can certainly understand confusion over this object as reported in the media, it is frustrating that users do not understand the difference between news reports and peer reviewed literature, especially for a researcher in the field. I would be helpful to remind users of the difference between peer-reviewed literature and news and the preference for the former as described in WP:SCHOLARSHIP and WP:NEWSORG. I would also note that I did not simply revert to previous versions, but preserved subsequent changes unrelated to the issues at hand, nor have used incendiary language to describe the motives of others (as has been done, amusingly, to me). The most recent revisions attempt to forge a compromise on this issue in good faith, reflecting the most general conservative viewpoint that is faithful to the source material while still inclusive of others points of view.2632cgn (talk) 00:03, 23 December 2013 (UTC) Seasonal Greetings

You were so close to the full-on Million Award. Arrgh! If you really, really wanted it, you could probably make a stink and get it, but that's not really the point. The point of this award is to show you that other editors appreciate your contributions—especially those to high-traffic articles like Dota 2. Okay, have a good one! Your submission page can be found here. The competition will begin at midnight tonight (UTC). There have been a few small changes from last year; the rules can be read in full at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring, and the page also includes a summary of changes. One important rule to remember is that only content on which you have completed significant work, and nominated, in 2014 is eligible for points in the competition- the judges will be checking! As ever, this year's competition includes some younger editors. If you are a younger editor, you are certainly welcome, but we have written an advice page at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Advice for younger editors for you. Please do take a look. Any questions should be directed to one of the judges, or left on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will make it to round 2. Good luck!
