UW copyright problemHi Bluerasberry, I'm hoping you can help with something as the UW wiki ambassador. The UWEO article [[1]] has been flagged for copyright violation. There's a link to a Duplication Detector report and it doesn't really look like there's anything copyrighted lifted from the PDF the report is pulling from. There are a bunch of programs listed that appear in both but those are the names of the programs, "Seattle Times" is flagged because a Times article is cited in the wiki and the Seattle Times is mentioned as being represented on an advisory board in the PDF, the name of the Vice Provost is flagged, etc. The only thing that looks iffy to me is "to meet the needs of working (adults)"/"to meet the needs of working (professionals)" and there is a citation for that text. Does this really constitute copyright infringement? Any advice is much appreciated, I'm a wikipedia novice. By the way hamsters are the best, I still have a beautiful chewed up piece of driftwood my beloved Bullhorn sculpted circa 1995. Ralwin (talk) 15:37, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Help Needed for Seattle BiomedHi Bluerasberry, I would appreciate your assistance in editing Seattle BioMed's Wikipedia page. I am new to editing in this capacity, and thought I did everything you asked by providing references/sources for the page with my most recent edits from 11/7. However, it's clear I'm doing something wrong as the information continues to be taken down. Any assistance you can provide would be most helpful. Thanks you so much for your help! Boydmero1 (talk) 19:11, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
This is not a newsletterAnyway. You're getting this note because you've participated in discussion and/or asked for updates to either the Article Feedback Tool or Page Curation. This isn't about either of those things, I'm afraid ;p. We've recently started working on yet another project: Echo, a notifications system to augment the watchlist. There's not much information at the moment, because we're still working out the scope and the concepts, but if you're interested in further updates you can sign up here. In addition, we'll be holding an office hours session at 21:00 UTC on Wednesday, 14 November in #wikimedia-office - hope to see you all there :). I appreciate it's an annoying time for non-Europeans: if you're interested in chatting about the project but can't make it, give me a shout and I can set up another session if there's enough interest in one particular timezone or a skype call if there isn't. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 10:48, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
YadavWe conflicted on the Yadav article but sourcing the basics is easy - the thing was already linked in the infobox. See this. Will have to go through newspapers etc for the rest of it, obviously. The article subject is quite a divisive personality, so if you'd be prepared to add the thing to your watchlist in order to counter any possible vandalism then it would be appreciated. - Sitush (talk) 15:01, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
K12 DiscussionHi Bluerasberry, When you have a chance, would you mind taking a look at my reply on Talk:K12_(company)? I understand why I shouldn't make changes to the controversies section but I do think part of the current lead could use a slight tweak to bring it in line with WP:NPOV. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thank you! Separately, I would like to go ahead and make the updates to the infobox numbers (they are a bit out of date) and cited corrections to the company history and product offerings. Do you see any problems with that? Thanks! Agmacq (talk) 16:18, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Unethical human experimentation in the United StatesThanks for your comment (and your patience.) I think the Markingson case may have received more academic attention than you think. You can find it discussed in IRB Advisor, for example, and in Elliott's White Coat, Black Hat. http://www.amazon.com/White-Coat-Black-Hat-Adventures/dp/0807061425 Also, the case resulted in a change in Minnesota law so that psychiatrists are now banned from recruiting patients under an involuntary commitment order into psychiatric drug studies. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?id=253B.095&format=pdf The case has also been discussed in academic sessions at meetings of Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research, the American Association of Bioethics and Humanities, Pharmed Out, and the Australasian Association of Bioethics and Health Law. Also, while many of the examples on this page have indeed received a substantial amount of attention from academics and policymakers, quite a few have only been reported in the press or in a single book (for example, some of the examples cited in Goliszek's In The Name of Science.) I've make suggestions to Professor Potter, for example, in regards to the classroom assignment I was an ambassador for recently (User:Biosthmors/Intro Neuro). How would I be able to help? Thanks. One million peopleDear Bluerasberry. I see that you say you verified with the cited UNESCO source that the Dutch East India Company did indeed take over a million people to Asia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Dutch_East_India_Company#I_deleted_amount_of_people_sent_to_asia. According to the article, the source is not a UNESCO document, but a proposal nominating the VOC archives for some or other UNESCO heritage status. UNESCO is not responsible for the content of the application/ proposal. Is that the same source that you encountered? Personally, I finf 1 million extremely exaggerated - numbers that size were not seen until migrations to the United States and Latin America. Pandemic?Yo, Bluerasberry, I saw 2013 flu pandemic. If, as the sources seem to indicate, the ooutbreak has been confined to Boston so far, it doesn't qualify as a "pandemic", so would you consider renaming it to something like "2013 flu outbreak"? Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 15:03, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Greetings from WikiProject Open AccessHi Lane, here is what I have just been posting to members of the WikiProject. it is now one year since WikiProject Open Access was started by User:Bluerasberry on January 10, 2012. Since then, the project has advanced modestly, but we have not interacted much. For the coming year, we certainly want to improve on that. We also plan to overhaul the project pages to make them more conducive to collaboration, and we are pondering the idea of expanding the concept of a WikiProject Open Access to projects other than the English Wikipedia, e.g. to other languages or to Wikimedia Commons. You are warmly invited to add your voice to all that. We would also appreciate if you would share some of your OA-related activities by way of our news ticker or via the monthly Open Access report that is part of the GLAM newsletter (to which you can subscribe here), or as you see fit otherwise. As a visual token of the anniversary, I am adding today's Open Access File of the Day. Feel free to nominate files yourself. As of today, commons:Category:Open access (publishing) contains more than 15,000 files, of which about 2/3 are video and sound files uploaded by the Open Access Media Importer. Thanks for being part of the project, and looking forward to more interaction.
