Hello! Thanks for coming to my talk page.
As explained on your talk page, added content on Wikipedia (especially edits to biographies of living persons, such as Kemp's article) are required to be sourced, else they may be removed. By sourcing, I mean including a reference with a link. You can read about it at Wikipedia:Citing sources, and I also found the template for citing a podcast here. I think it might be easier to click Cite at the top of your editor, but editors vary so I'm not sure if it's different on your end. Anyways, you should be all good after that.
I hope that helps. Happy editing, and feel free to let me know if you need additional help with adding a reference. Blue Edits (talk) 12:23, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing new article on symbolic regression?

Heya Bluebell,

I'm somewhat new to editing Wikipedia but would like to get my feet wet by improving the coverage of Symbolic regression. I saw you mentioned on the page that I (that IP address was me - oops :)) should leave the WikiLinks as is: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Symbolic_regression&oldid=1115206423. I took your advice and have been working on a separate page for the PySR red link given in the article (actually logged in this time!). I was wondering if you could give the drafted page a review and let me know what you think? Draft:PySR - this will be my first page created, so any tips appreciated!

Thanks!

Blackhole94405588 I'm super happy to hear you've made an account! I'm not an AfC reviewer, but the article looks good so far. I can't find the relevant section in the MoS, but I believe that the references should come after the punctuation marks. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see your work in article space soon. @Ansarwalipasha: Hello! Your link is to a commercial tourism company page and is not appropriate for an encyclopedia. Please see WP:ELNO. Blue Edits (talk) 08:56, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the G3. I (lazily) just looked at Raymond Kwok during NPP, where it was described as a nickname since a couple of days ago for Raymond Kwok. However, I obviously failed to check the page history or verify it. Therefore, I thank you again for the G3 and your anti-vandalism work, and sorry for my slip-up in not CSDing this, merely leaving it for another to review. Why are you removing my constructive posts? Global technologyy (talk) 11:51, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Global technologyy: Hello! Two factors: firstly, the top of the lead is not an appropriate place to put that information, and secondly, information about terrorism and terrorist classifications is already in the article. If you wish to expand upon it with the sources you included in your edit summary, I can see two places to do so: in the lead at the paragraph starting with "According to Turkey," and at the section People's Defense Units#Allegations concerning violations of international law and war crimes. Since it's a touchy topic, please remember to keep WP:NPOV in mind by being specific in your writing and relying on the words of reliable sources rather than your own whenever possible. You can also see WP:REFB if you need help with adding citations, or go to the Wikipedia:Teahouse if you have further questions. Hope that helps! Blue Edits (talk) 11:58, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Global technologyy: On a more pivotal note, if you keep trying to reinsert the same sentence in the same part of the article despite the repeated warnings from other editors, you're likely to get blocked. Wikipedia works on consensus, not brute force, and I would advise you to take on the above and adjust your writing to adhere to both WP:NPOV and WP:RS. Consider taking a pause and discussing your proposed changes on the talk page of the article instead. Blue Edits (talk) 12:05, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

aptera

HI, thanks for your reply. I added the link, because we are working on a way to import the apteras into the EU. (The second biggest market for EVs). And we know, that a lot of people are looking for help to import and legalize their cars in EU. So I am happy to be in contact with you. The most important informations are dimensions, the weight and the high-speed of aptera to continue the importing progress - when they are available.

Valerie Rose Wikipedia Issues

Hello. I noticed that Valerie Rose has several issues on her account. One in particular is incorrect: A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (January 2017). I am a big fan of Ms. Rose and her film and television work. I am a contributor, and while I do live in Minnesota, I have never met her. It is important that her work is represented correctly as she is from my home state of Minnesota. As such, if you would, please remove this issue from her page.

Thank you,

Jim Lunderlund JimLunderlund (talk) 15:49, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Considering that you started editing yesterday and that notice has been up since January 2017, I'd wager that the notice isn't about you unless you edited the article with a previous account. Blue Edits (talk) 08:34, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out my mistakes on the National Varieties of English, I reviewed my edits and I had no idea that one or two of the words were different spelling in American English so I presumed they were just spelling errors. That being said, I will be sure to check I am actually correcting a spelling and not changing the National Variety.

Hi, Wikipedia is not a venue for you to practice scummy SEO practices. Also, Wikipedia uses nofollow tags so "backlinking" will have no positive effects on your SEO. If you are not here to contribute positively to Wikipedia, I cannot help you further. Blue Edits (talk) 06:50, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Freya Tingley

Hello,

The source I listed in my article about Freya Tingley is considered reliable, based on the guidelines for WP: VENDOR, which states that "Although the content guidelines for external links prohibit linking to "Individual web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services", inline citations may be allowed to e-commerce pages such as that of a book on a bookseller's page or an album on its streaming-music page, in order to verify such things as titles and running times. Journalistic and academic sources are preferable, however, and e-commerce links should be replaced with reliable non-commercial sources if available."

Considering we are using this e-vendor source for verification of her participating in Scientology, it would fall firmly in this categorization. Furthermore, you can see on her own social media that she is the representative for Youth for Human Rights (source: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cua_OeTOV3Y/) which is a Scientology front group, as stated by Wikipedia themselves, as well as the Hamburg Senate.

"In 1995, the Hamburg Senate released a report on Scientology, describing its structure and the dangers it presented to individuals and society. One passage, citing Scientology documents, clarified the role of all organizations, which, like YHRI, are linked to the church.

In an internal memo, Scientology described the function of affiliate organizations: "All organizations and groups form a global network. Each one has its own individual role and responsibilities. But all service organizations have the goal to draw attention to L.Ron Hubbard's technology and deliver it to the public." Thus, each activity, however distantly it is related to Scientology, fits into a long-term strategic plan, which is ultimately steered by the highest management." 2001:18E8:2:1080:851F:15B5:6C6C:70E0 (talk) 15:27, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! As you quoted, WP:VENDOR is for "such things as titles and running times" -- it doesn't work as a BLP source, especially given the incentive for them to fluff up the "testimonies". I think adding the Instagram source (although not exactly RS, it's better than nothing as a WP:ABOUTSELF) + the clarifying source on the group being a front group with some text like "Tingley is a representative of Youth for Human Rights, a Scientology front group" would be more reliable. That said, I am not an expert on the subject, so I can't comment much further, and you may want to take to the talk page or one of the relevant Wikiprojects linked there (or ping the IP who first removed it) for more informed opinions. Thanks for messaging me and letting me know though! Blue Edits (talk) 07:50, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ian White - Footballer

I am updating my father-in-law's page with actual facts. I don't know who added this page but there is incorrect information. What I added was from personal experiences with my father-in-law. I have offered my email address if you have additional questions but what I added is factual. I shouldn't need to references when I have personal memories of his life. I understand someone who is trying to just add information but my father-in-law is almost 88 and I would like him to see that the Internet respects how hard someone has worked to provide happiness for so many people in a loved sport. Please update the page and if you need to you can always contact me directly for accuracy. Thank you Daphne08 (talk) 06:15, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thanks for contacting me. Please read WP:RS on what kinds of sources are accepted on Wikipedia. Imagine the reverse situation, where a stranger could write slander on the false claim of being related to your FIL-- we would have no way of proving otherwise, so it's important we have thorough sourcing (especially on biographical articles). As for the inaccurate parts, feel free to remove things that are wrong, especially if the sourcing seems weak or non-existent. Blue Edits (talk) 09:32, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
