Hello, Blacky98! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions to this free encyclopedia. If you decide that you need help, check out Getting Help below, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Below are some useful links to facilitate your involvement. Happy editing! OhNoitsJamieTalk23:20, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 21:06, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest starting someplace like this to find a picture you like. Make sure it is licensed properly for use on WP (Either GNU Free Documentation License or Creative Commons). Then just go to my user page find the tiger section and add "Image:Name of Image.jpg| signature". If you need further assistance let me know.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 01:25, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Your comments on various editors talk pages
While it is hoped that the project is a pleasant place to contribute to I would note that we are writing an encyclopedia. Please could you direct your future comments to matters regarding the project; they can still be friendly but more focussed on the work. Thanks. Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. A More Perfect Onion (talk) 20:50, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding your edits to Talk:Hermit Crab; Wikipedia is not a chat room. Article talk pages are for discussing improvements to the article; nothing more. If you continue to use Wikipedia as a chat site, you will be blocked from editing. OhNoitsJamieTalk21:50, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yous asked what tag to use for a picture. What kind of picture is it? Who owns the copyright on it? (If it is a photo, for example, the owner is probably the photographer.) Has the owner released it under a license which allows reuse by anyone for anything? If so, which license? If not, we probably can’t use the picture. —teb728tc18:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your message on my talk page, but I was just wondering what you were referring to? I assume it's a message I've left somewhere in Wikipedia that I've added an xD emoticon to...? :) londonsista | Prod00:04, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To make your own template, all you have to do is just put something like this: {{yourusersubpagenamegoeshere}} If you're wondering about the html, I'm a bit rusty on that so I'll have to study my own first :) Midorihanaみどりはな06:00, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Garrett Morgan did not only invent the traffic signal. He invented the gas mask and also some hair dye and other things. These are just the popular things he invented. He is probably a great man because he saved lives of workers during an explosion in an underground mine. Blacky98 (talk) 23:04, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's a 100% fabricated lie that Garrett Morgan invented the traffic signal. Do some research. Checking the documents, this myth was invented in the 1970s by the U.S. Dept of Education as a way to promote feel-good stories about African-American "heroes." However, checking the actual, real evidence, it's clear that Garrett Morgan's traffic signal device was NOT first, NOT the first to be patented, and NOT the device that led to the modern traffic light. In fact, it was more like a railroad-crossing device. It's a shame that people are still judging others by the color of their skin, rather than by what they really did.Ryoung12201:06, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
