It's been fairly quiet lately, but there are still a few of us concentrating on Washington-related stuff. Feel free to ask if you've got any questions, and if you're looking for a fun project, and happen to own a camera, I've been slaving away at List of Registered Historic Places in Washington, and could use photos for every single one of them. I don't get out to the peninsula near enough, so if you've got the time and the wherewithal to help out with this, it'd be much appreciated. Cheers! Murderbike (talk) 02:48, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Glines Canyon Dam, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template

Image copyright problem with Image:Glinescanyondam2.jpgThanks for uploading Image:Glinescanyondam2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 00:19, 3 May 2008 (UTC) Hey there Marmot!I just did a bit of editing on Trails of Olympic National Park. A great article, but most of the trail information, including the ALLCAPS, was copy/pasted from the website that is linked in the reference section. I removed all of the allcap bits of information but left the important info. I also did a bit of copyediting to the article, and you probably noticed on your watchlist that I moved the article to the proper title without the word "the". Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say thanks for your contributions and hard work. You obviously enjoy the Peninsula area! (Incidentally, I had a much anticipated trip scheduled for my family that was cancelled last minute - I was really looking forward to it...) Cheers, happy editing, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 20:45, 9 June 2008 (UTC) 100+ Waterfalls???Hello, I saw your name on the list of participants for the wikiproject waterfalls. Currently I am working on an article here at wikipedia.org titled, "List of Waterfalls in Hamilton, Ontario" and we have at least 100 here in town where I'm from. I would like to know if there are any other cities or towns from around the world that you know of that have more than 100 waterfalls like we have here in Hamilton? Thanks! This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding Invitation to Meetup/Seattle6, a focus groupHello. If you are in Seattle and could attend our focus group that would be great. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington (Seattle campus), and my group is reaching out to Wikipedians in the Puget Sound area. We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Wikipedia. Our end goal is to create an embedded application that helps people quickly know more about others' history and activity on Wikipedia, and we feel our design will be much more useful if it's based on insights of users like you. I'm hoping that the chance to help out local researchers, to engage in lively face-to-face discussion with other Seattle Wikipedians, and to contribute to Wikipedia in a new way will entice you to join us. The session lasts 2 hours and snacks are provided. Sessions will be held on UW Seattle campus - directions will be sent after registration. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated! Willing and able to help us out? RSVP here. Want to know more? Visit our user talk page . Please help us contact other local Wikipedians, too! Commprac01 (talk) 17:32, 17 March 2009 (UTC) You uploaded this image without adding a copyright tag. The statement no copyright is not sufficient and to tell us exactly how the image is freely licenced. Most contributors who upload their own images add the {{PD-self}} template to the image file (paste it with the curly brackets), so you may want to add that one but there are other to be found at the link above.
