Materialscientist (talk) 12:02, 19 December 2010 (UTC) Glacier NoirNoticed on DYK, I have some concerns before reviewing. Different from the white one, the lead reads complicated and "German". As far as I know it is supposed to be just a summary of the article, therefore doesn't need refs, those go to the details in the article. I suggest you write the lead freely (not as a wörtliche Übersetzung), move the refs, and remove red links in pictures captions (one seems to be just spelling). Good luck, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:26, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Materialscientist (talk) 00:02, 21 December 2010 (UTC) SchnarcherklippenGood question, but I'm not particularly familiar with Goethe's Faust translations. I bet that for such a well-known work there are translations available, unfortunately not in Wikisource (incomplete). - Different question: an "independent" reviewer is expected for my super-difficult nomination of BWV 132 on 10 December. Would you mind having a look? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:04, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
KönigssteinNice new article! (How many do you write a day?) I started a bit of ce (copy-edit) but don't have time for more. I noticed a "naked url" in the sources. To most of the refs I would add "(in German)" or, if in a template, "language=German". --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:30, 21 December 2010 (UTC) DYK for Glacier Noir
Materialscientist (talk) 00:03, 22 December 2010 (UTC) BlaubergeAnother one! One or more, that is the question, "Blauberge" is treated a plural, "are a mountain range" singular, "it's" - a bit confusing. - Where are the Schnarcherklippen on the Panoramic pic, please? - Two Bach cantatas went to special occasion, only one open, I will have to nominate one more for you, smile, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:42, 22 December 2010 (UTC) DYK nomination of SchnarcherklippenHello! Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Catscan Portal
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding I support the deletion of this template. I thought I would need it in creating Portal:Saxony-Anhalt as it is a feature on German Wikipedia, but in the end it wasn't required. --Bermicourt (talk) 16:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC) This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Höllentalferner, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.summitpost.org/zugspitzplatt-jubilaeumsgrat/4429. It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues. If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Mangoe (talk) 17:34, 26 December 2010 (UTC) What a picture! Makes you want to go there. - Minor hints: I would say Zahmer Kaiser, for people not reading German. The quote looks strange in my browser and very small print. I miss a ref for it and for the fire. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:05, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Dravecky (talk) 14:05, 29 December 2010 (UTC) DYK archiveThanks for asking, I put them here Portal:Germany, you have to scroll a bit or search for Harz granite, latest pic on top, then the latest DYK, and at the same time also in that (!) archive, new articles also there (!). I had no idea the other archive existed, and there may be another collection of new articles? Guter Vorsatz für's Neue Jahr: merging the two archives/articles, how? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:23, 29 December 2010 (UTC) Speedy deletion nomination of Section (Alpine club)
A tag has been placed on Section (Alpine club) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies.
