User talk:BajutsuI'm new. Please excuse my failing to leave notes of what was changed on my first two edits. I have eyed the Veterinary technician article for some time and have felt that since I have spent over 23 years (less a few sabbaticals) in this field that I might be able to contribute significantly. Thank you to all those who have contributed before, especially since getting started is the most challenging part. While I may have added alot of verbage. The changes are nonetheless minor. I have added distinction between veterinary technicians and technologists, introduced the term Animal Health Technician which is still used in Canada and for historical reference. Added mention of the CVMA. Made clarifications to the education section necessitating some rearranging of sentences (no affront intended to previous contributors). And added a paragraph addressing specialty certification in the US with links to the specialty academies. For the sake of clarity I have separated out Veterinary Nurse from Veterinary Technician though they share the same job description. More contributions are needed for the Veterinary Nurse stub and information from the Canadian perspective is needed to flesh out the Veterinary Technician article. Citations in ArticleBajutsu, the Wikipedia:Citation templates have the format of citations with examples. I find it useful to copy one of the examples, fill in the details, preview the template without the ref tag to make certain it is correct, and finally enclosed the citation template with the ref tag. By the way, my oldest daughter is studying to be a Vet Tech. When I reference the article, I noticed that it had been vandelized, so I now keep it on watch. I happen to watch that page (I work on text copyright problems) and responded to your note there, but I believe that I may have resolved your problem after investigating. If the issue that brought you there was File:Veterinary technician logo.jpg, your friend does not need to release the rights to this. Logos can be used under Wikipedia's non-free content policy under fair use. You addressed part of this with the "fair use rationale" suggested by User:TenPoundHammer above, but didn't put both templates in place. I have corrected this and added a rationale defending its use. However, I think you will need to reuploaded (you can do it under the same name) a smaller version in order to conform to policy. As I said, I work on text issues, so haven't got much specifics to offer, other than to say that we do have a specific forum for asking advice and help with media copyright issues at WP:MCQ. The company themselves claim a different etymology for the name on their websites, and I can't seem to find many reputable references to it being an acronym (mostly just web 2.0 answers sites, that sort of thing). I'm not sure whether maybe this is an example of a backronym which has been invented after the name itself. It would be good if you could find some references?
