Congratulations!Well done on achieving Featured status on Bruce Kingsbury! I believe the following is in order:
There we go; it's in my own little section of user space now. I re-ordered the lists of names in my box so they are listed alphabetically down the column rather than by row, and have also added a section below the box to detail what's done and who's working on what. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 23:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC) Admin Help{{adminhelp}} I was wondering if someone could undelete User:Backslash Forwardslash/Karamu for me. I requested its deletion a month ago as I didn't think I'd ever get around to improving it, but I want to and would like the refs I had placed there. » \ / (⁂) 12:10, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Welcome!Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history. A few features that you might find helpful:
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill 16:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC) BituminI have observed that you have redirected the new page Grades of Bitumin to Bitumin. I wanted to add some information in the same which is useful for engineers and as such the page should be separate. The details of the various pecifications are available in the site http://www.bharatpetroleum.com/business/specialities_Bitumen.asp?from=bus. No information on this is available. You may kindly relook at your decision. Sorry if i have made changes at the wrong place.Sanjivkumarsharma (talk) 11:36, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
lose-lose-loseThis document contains the name of Leonidas A. Papakonstantinidis but that is the only connection it has with the win-win-win model. Clearly the article needed to be deleted but I would have liked to see it done for an honest reason. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 11:56, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Here we are. The full paper didn't appear to be online, but on page 28 of this document, it mentions a paper by the same author with the same title. I can't quite remember what the content of the article was, (was a big page), but I did dig up this which I seem to recall was also connected. Let me know if I still have the wrong link; I don't store my browsing history so trying to find it again was a bit tough! Apologies again. » \ / (⁂) 12:04, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Was the author of the page Mr. Papakonstantinidis? If so certainly it should have been classed as original research, but otherwise I don't understand how deleting a copyright violation as a copyright violation is 'dishonest'. » \ / (⁂) 20:35, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Alright, thanks.Alright. Thanks for the heads up. Should I use CSD A1 instead? or CSD A7? Someone has already made an attack page on me, using very expletive language. So, I'm getting used to it. Thank you. discussion template questionhey - thanks for the welcome. I anticipate I will soon be adding much additional information to the number of stub neighborhood articles I created. As of now, I just wanted to create the basic articles, so they are mainly just stubs, each giving basic locational data as well as informative links to UGIS numbers and community profiles and maps. I looked at similar neighborhood articles from New York and have used a 'template' I saw on their discussion pages which I believe to be appropriate and applicable. Would you be able to verify that I am correct in my assumption? Thanks--SHH2009 (talk) 11:33, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Your RfA and CSDHey there \/, I am currently reviewing your CSD work... thus far it is looking ok (I've only looked at a handful of edits so far) but one thing that I would recommend, if you tag something as G10, blank the page as well. An attack page needs to get out of the system as quickly as possible to avoid wikiclones capturing the attack. If an admin wants to see the attack, they can do so via the history.---I'm Spartacus! The artist formerly known as Balloonman 19:34, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Just to followup with what I said at your RfA, your work over the past month has been solid. It wasn't until I started looking at your older work that problems started to arise, and unfortunately when I went back to just December, it seemed as if you were unfamiliar with the criteria. Again, your current work is solid and if you keep it up over the next few months, I can see you overcoming my concern. Similarly, careful work with user names should quell those who opposed over that issue as well. I see this RfA as a positive. While it will likely fail, you are leaving with some solid feedback that you can address. There are some RfA's that when they finish, I think "That person will never pass an RfA." There are others where I fully expect them to come back in 3-4 months and fly through. Based upon the opposes you are getting, I'd put you in that later category. (assuming you address the issues!)---I'm Spartacus! The artist formerly known as Balloonman 22:32, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I supported your RFA per NYB's rationale, and I was hoping for its success. Your work for the DYK process is valuable, and your other contributions are praiseworthy. Indeed, sad to see you've withdrawn. I'm not convinced it was quite as clear result as you thought it was, your support was steadily building and in two days time, the scheduled close time, you may have gained enough support to have passed. Nonetheless, I hope you run again in future, and perhaps I'll edit with you someday. Regards. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 21:07, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

re: The AIF ProjectHi mate. I was sorry to see you withdraw from your RfA; I think you would have made a good admin. I suppose you can just take in all of the constructive criticism and have another shot within the next few months. Also, you are very welcome for the Triple Crown nom. re: BirksHi Backslash Forwardslash. I've had a bit of a look at the Birks article, and made a few tweaks along with a ruff copy-edit. I removed the list of Birks' service medals from the "awards=" section of the infobox as campaign/service medals are not traditionally placed in that section, and the "References" section has also been removed as those sources have not been used in the article. There are a few minor prose issues with the article, but the main problem is information. In its current state, the article might pass as B-Class but would falter at GA based on comprehensiveness. More information and detail is required on Birks' life, particularly in regards to his service during the First World War and Victoria Cross action. Well, I hope this helps. If you have any further questions and/or queries, please don't hesitate to ask. :) Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 05:05, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Geo Swan (talk) 17:49, 10 March 2009 (UTC) More thanks!Hi, thanks for that. Some people don't see that we are missing thousands of resourceful articles on German wikipedia and many of the opther wikipedias which can be transwikied within minutes like this. The preliminary step has to be made and when there is a huge number of articles to get onto here I'm afraid I can't develop everyone of them but I know wikiproject and editors who care for these articles will. If spamming is what some consider a mass effort to begin transwiking thousands of resourceful articles which will greatly improve our coverage eventually them I'm very sorry. Dr. Blofeld White cat 21:26, 10 March 2009 (UTC) Next update picsHi Backslash. I've noticed you seem to have a bit of a problem with the next update pics. In order to get them to format properly, all you need to do is remove the field that says "right" in the pic code, if it's left in it always screws up the formatting. Also, in case you are unaware of it, as a general rule we try to use funny or quirky hooks (of an upbeat nature) in the bottom slot. Check the rules of thumb in the Additional Rules. Just something to bear in mind. Other than that, you are doing a great job in preparing updates! Thanks again for all your help around DYK. Gatoclass (talk) 09:49, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
