It's okay if you say no, it's just so we each have a copy and know ruffly where we are at. Also, have you seen the AIF Project website? It was constructed by members of the Australian Defence Force Academy, and adds details of everyone who served in the AIF during the First World War by examining their service records. Bitumin

I have observed that you have redirected the new page Grades of Bitumin to Bitumin. I wanted to add some information in the same which is useful for engineers and as such the page should be separate. Here we are. The full paper didn't appear to be online, but on page 28 of this document, it mentions a paper by the same author with the same title. I can't quite remember what the content of the article was, (was a big page), but I did dig up this which I seem to recall was also connected. discussion template question

hey - thanks for the welcome. I anticipate I will soon be adding much additional information to the number of stub neighborhood articles I created. As of now, I just wanted to create the basic articles, so they are mainly just stubs, each giving basic locational data as well as informative links to UGIS numbers and community profiles and maps. I looked at similar neighborhood articles from New York and have used a 'template' I saw on their discussion pages which I believe to be appropriate and applicable. I've looked through a few of your edits, particularly those concerning talk pages, and it seems like you are pretty much accurate. Most of the time finding templates from similar pages will suffice - most wikiprojects keep their articles up to date. In the event you can't find a similar article or suitable template, searching for the relevant Wikiproject is the best way to go. You may be interested in joining Wikiproject New York. They will be able to provide more refined information, and give you an opportunity to get others who may also be interested in your articles to assist you. Your RfA and CSD

Hey there \/, I am currently reviewing your CSD work... thus far it is looking ok (I've only looked at a handful of edits so far) but one thing that I would recommend, if you tag something as G10, blank the page as well. An attack page needs to get out of the system as quickly as possible to avoid wikiclones capturing the attack. If an admin wants to see the attack, they can do so via the history.---I'm Spartacus! I am looking at another article was clearly deleted per the wrong tag, but there is no way you or the deleting admin could have known it. The article was on Saxochina which is a clear copyvio of this page. You tagged the article as no-content (a1) and it was deleted as such. As for why you and the deleting admin didn't catch it and tagged such a large article as A1? That's simple, the person who created the article put a <gallery> tag at the top, so the page appeared blank. The reason I mention it is because you might have noted that if you had seen the number of bytes the article had. Again, this is in no way shape or form, a negative, just an FYI.---I'm Spartacus! Just to followup with what I said at your RfA, your work over the past month has been solid. It wasn't until I started looking at your older work that problems started to arise, and unfortunately when I went back to just December, it seemed as if you were unfamiliar with the criteria. Again, your current work is solid and if you keep it up over the next few months, I can see you overcoming my concern. Similarly, careful work with user names should quell those who opposed over that issue as well. I see this RfA as a positive. While it will likely fail, you are leaving with some solid feedback that you can address. There are some RfA's that when they finish, I think "That person will never pass an RfA." There are others where I fully expect them to come back in 3-4 months and fly through. Based upon the opposes you are getting, I'd put you in that later category. re: Birks

Hi Backslash Forwardslash. I've had a bit of a look at the Birks article, and made a few tweaks along with a ruff copy-edit. I removed the list of Birks' service medals from the "awards=" section of the infobox as campaign/service medals are not traditionally placed in that section, and the "References" section has also been removed as those sources have not been used in the article. There are a few minor prose issues with the article, but the main problem is information. In its current state, the article might pass as B-Class but would falter at GA based on comprehensiveness. More information and detail is required on Birks' life, particularly in regards to his service during the First World War and Victoria Cross action. Well, I hope this helps. Hi, thanks for that. Some people don't see that we are missing thousands of resourceful articles on German wikipedia and many of the opther wikipedias which can be transwikied within minutes like this. The preliminary step has to be made and when there is a huge number of articles to get onto here I'm afraid I can't develop everyone of them but I know wikiproject and editors who care for these articles will. If spamming is what some consider a mass effort to begin transwiking thousands of resourceful articles which will greatly improve our coverage eventually them I'm very sorry. Next update pics

Hi Backslash. I've noticed you seem to have a bit of a problem with the next update pics. In order to get them to format properly, all you need to do is remove the field that says "right" in the pic code, if it's left in it always screws up the formatting.

Also, in case you are unaware of it, as a general rule we try to use funny or quirky hooks (of an upbeat nature) in the bottom slot. Check the rules of thumb in the Additional Rules. Thanks for the notice Gatoclass. I generally try to remember to take them out, but I do forget occasionally. I also do try to put a quirky hook at the end of an update - I found
'that Dr Delano Meriwether won the 100 yard event at the 1971 Amateur Athletics Union championships wearing a hospital shirt, swimming trunks and gold suspenders?'
to be quite unusual, but often there isn't a quirky hook to use. (in fact, very often the only funny one is the 40th eldest verified hook.) ∗ \ / (⁂) 09:54, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Re the difficulty in finding funny or quirky hooks - I know this can be a problem, I'm not sure what you mean though by "40th eldest verified hook", you can take hooks from anywhere on the Suggestions page as long as they have been verified. We do of course try to give preference to the hooks closer to expiry to ensure the older hooks don't hang around too long, but it's more important to get a good balance in the update so that should always be the priority. I take hooks from all over the Suggestions page when I am putting together updates, because often it's the only way to get a balanced update. Gatoclass (talk) 10:01, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, their itchiness is their problem, not ours :) All the verified hooks will eventually get into an update, so they are not going to miss out on anything. True but, In the right of the screen you'll notice an archive box, going back to last August. Many established editors don't even have archive boxes, so checking the previous contributions of a user is not a bad idea. Secondly, when I do NPP, I tend to give a bit more leeway to articles with the {{underconstruction}} tag, simply because really only regulars use it to protect themselves against speedies before they had a chance to expand. (As an interesting sidenote, there is also a German and Russian Radiopilot article, and given de.wiki generally has more stringent notability standards, and that the band is German should've given pause.) ∗ \ / (⁂) 23:44, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I've been seeing a lot of articles that have a {{hangon}} tag included in the first version.
