Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 20:31, 16 June 2013 (UTC) StarfishThank you for the work you are doing to improve the Starfish article. Would it be possible to bring the review to a conclusion by the end of the month? I only ask because I am competing in the WikiCup again and have to think carefully about the timing for FACs because of the rule about not exceeding one solo and one joint candidacy at a time. image questionHi Axl, regarding your comment [1], I too have questioned the little girl's lesions. When I first saw the image I believed it was malignant smallpox. However, when I saw the source, the CDC, I did what probably everybody else has done, I assumed they had it right. There is very little space between the lesions, especially on her face. This suggests the lesions are beginning to join which is a hallmark of the malignant variety. I agree that the photo you suggest would be more accurate. Malke 2010 (talk) 15:57, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
TemplatesHey Axl I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :). So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere. What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default. The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page. Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:31, 28 June 2013 (UTC) FAHello, are you gonna finish your review of starfish? LittleJerry (talk) 15:07, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Article Feedback Tool updateHey Axl. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles. We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article. Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:50, 1 September 2013 (UTC) Well I know you don't undertake GAN reviews...I saw that on the user page. =) But if you want to share any wisdom in the subsection Talk:Low_back_pain/GA1#Verifiability where I'm going through things feel free. I'm getting the impression that some of this stuff is over my head. I hope you're doing well! Biosthmors (talk) 18:14, 6 September 2013 (UTC) In particular, it was me reading through the Manchikanti source that made me want to ping you, if you're interested. Best! Absent a very good excuse, I'm very tempted to have a go at drafting you. You're clearly competent to handle a few extra tools, we're short on admins and "your wiki needs you" ;-). With all your experience, you far exceed any standards a user may have to meet to receive rollback; is it a tool you'd be interested in having? If so, I'd be happy to grant it; if not, no worries. Your commentWhat is ironic about it? Anyway, you are mixing here apples with pears. My statement about being opposed to badgering was an answer to a comment by TP who was under the false impression that I tried to nudge him out of the Neutral column. That was never my intention. On the other side, to bow out of a discussion is IMO the exact opposite of badgering. The latter consists, as far as I had been aware of, in insisting to keep on discussing something. Please correct me if I failed to understand this nuance of the English language (I'm not a native speaker, as can be seen in my Babel Box). Kraxler (talk) 13:18, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

EarwigBot operator / talk 04:56, 21 January 2014 (UTC) The article Nicole Bolton has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Formal mediation has been requestedThe Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Chikungunya". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 4 February 2014. Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you. Request for mediation rejectedThe request for formal mediation concerning Chikungunya, to which you were listed as a party, has been declined. To read an explanation by the Mediation Committee for the rejection of this request, see the mediation request page, which will be deleted by an administrator after a reasonable time. Please direct questions relating to this request to the Chairman of the Committee, or to the mailing list. Too familiar in tone? Any help is appreciated. Understand if you've got other stuff to do too. Thx. Ian Furst (talk) 03:09, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Axl - Thank you for looking at it so soon. It's really appreciated. I've left some responses if you have time. The line between sleep, memory and consciousness is difficult to define.
