User talk:American KamikazeMarch 2008 Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Belly dance, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you and 24.171.26.255 are not the same user, however, please be aware that it is frowned upon to delete large sections of content from others' comments. If the meaning of the comment is changed, it can be considered vandalism. If your intent was to edit the comment to improve its civility (and I'll admit the original was perhaps somewhat uncivil in tone), it is generally considered less controversial to preserve the original text, but strike it out the offensive parts using the HTML "strike" tag and then writing replacement text as you see fit. I have not restored the original text of the comment because I do not want to go against your wishes if you and 24.171.26.255 are the same user, but if this is truly the case, I respectfully request that you make your identity clearer in the future. Thank you. - Zhukora (talk) 22:36, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
